Great win and Wojdylo was sensational (as was Brennan) but tje prospect of being without Museilak for 4-6 weeks is pretty depressing with such a busy time coming up. We need to go with guests, R/R just won't cut it and the best/most realistic options look to be Pickering, Douglas and Harris when available. Only Brum not riding next Thursdsy so I hope Rob spoke to Brennan before he drove away last night!

Hope I'm wrong but just feels like a typical Lynn season of injuries, team changes and big away defeats.

After initial enthusiasm that we had a decent team this year, definitely feels like a typical season again

Not convinced on those guests, but does need to be guests instead of R/R. I'd be on the phone to Robert Lambert for an injury replacement spell....

  2. A win, hurrah. Hope Toby and Milik OK. Tobi landed very awkwardly. What a display by Patryk. MPT still the weak link and Ben had a poor night. Good to see NKI's riding well and decent score from Klindt. Anders was in the mix too

For brum I was impressed with Brennan. Seems to have taken another step up this season

On the negative side, what idiot changed the car park exit to the back road. Took a good 10-15 mins extra and with A47 roadworks towards norwich, finally got home at 11.30!

  3. Watched the live feed last night. Decent shift from the stars. Couldn't work out how tofty looked really quick in 2 races and really pants in his other two. Patryk looked better, but not quick enough. Anders was always in the mix and a bit unlucky not to get more.

Schlien on commentry talked as if he knew we'd got another change coming and it would make us top 4 material

Being a stars fan I thought Wright tried to turn back to inside to block niels....so should have been excluded :)

If Nicholls has the wrong helmet colour on then surely he should’ve been excluded on the 2 minutes there. Or was there more to it like Oxford don’t know the rule book when it comes to changes.

I couldn't possibly comment on the ineptitude of the Oxford team manager....

  5. I know it's early doors, but I'd be very tempted to bring in Klindt. If he produced his form of last season he would definitely improve our top 4 chances. I got the impression he was a good team man to have around the pits as well. I was disappointed when he went to Oxford.

That's no disrespect to NKI, but as others have said, he is getting to the wrong end of his career and I rather remember his earlier years for the club

My main concern is rustiness on Lynn's part, although most of the riders have been in action here and there. BV are a decent side and I'd rather have faced Brum or Leicester in the first home match but it is what it is.

    46-44

Spot on, that's my concern too and with several newbies in the team we've not yet had the chance to ride as a team at home yet. A very stiff test. If we can pull this one off it augers well for the rest of the season, but its only going to be a few points either way

Terrible team managing imo to give Kerr the r/r outing in heat 5. What if Klindt comes good? Now one of Oxford's top 4 doesn't get an extra ride.

No harm in using Klindt, if he turns out to be terrible, then Kerr can always replace him once or twice later on!

There's no risk of getting it wrong using Klindt, there is using Kerr, especially odd as Kerr lost a 5-1 in heat 2, I'd understand it (but disagree with it) if Kerr had won his first heat.

Peter Schroek was never the sharpest team manager at Kings Lynn, was glad to see the back of him, sounds like he ain't improved

Kevin to announce results is fine  but need someone younger and livelier on the centre concrete to get people going.

Totally agree or the atmosphere is likely to be flat as a pancake

We had a chap on the mic a few seasons back, very lively but knew sweet fa about speedway. With a bit longer behind the mic he'd have developed a bit of speedway knowledge and been decent at the job

  9. Would be a decent side.

My proposed Lynn 1-7 for '24 if in Premiership (based on current averages)

    1. R Lambert (7.81)

    2. B Cook (5.52)

    3. V Tarasenko (6.45)

    4. R Douglas (6.83) / Sam Masters (7.61)

    5. N Klindt (6.89)

    6. S Lambert (4.25)

    7. A Rowe (RS)

    Total - 37.75 (38.53 with SM)

Assuming still based on 39.0 limit and AR can still have another year as RS.

    Works for me

Any team needs to start with Klindt/S Lambert/Rowe - plus a decent no. 1 - ideally R Lambert and build from there. No one else from the current team really deserves another shot in the team.

Suspect we might see more from Breum - he looked pretty decent in a couple of matches but pants in the rest - so assume maybe carrying an injury - that said for a similar average Ben Cook would be a much better option
