King's Lynn V Poole Pirates Mon 29th
Nellie replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Rule 16.5.1, section F (God, this is the way to spend a Friday night): a facility is granted for a rider suspended by the FIM, ACU, SCB or Rider’s FMN. -
Belle Vue V Coventry & Kings Lynn 22/9
Nellie replied to Rob B's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I meant the rules in general regarding whether there is a fast track system next year, rather than who was on it. To me, Worrall, Kerr, Newman, Garrity, Blackbird all seem disproportionately better than most. -

With a PL average of over eight, I can't see Worrall at reserve for anyone unless the rules change. -
Shrewd Guest Choices Could Potentially Provide 2014 Elite League Winners !
Nellie replied to markyb's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Grajczonek's EL average is 6.77 until October (when it looks like it will fall to 6.39). Cook and King's EL averages are 6.52 and 6.71 respectively. -
I think KL need a draw to finish top of the table, as Poole have a better points difference.

Pawlicki hasn't been sacked though, he's still listed in the Wolverhampton side on the BSPA website. That can't change. Clearly Wolverhampton and the BSPA thought he was withholding his services, and banned him. Wolves' last meeting is on the 26th, so I can't think why his ban won't end on 28th. Mads shouldn't be out at all, as he missed the 8th (presumably with a certificate as Leicester used a facility), he rode on the 11th (so no dispute at that point), then was told not to bother coming again on the 14th. If they don't want him to ride for them again, that's a matter for Leicester, but they shouldn't get a facility (unlike Wolverhampton), as there are no grounds to ban him. As I said, I'd contest it as I think Leicester are wrong, but I happen to agree with you that they'll use a facility tomorrow anyway.
-
Only you can't, as Mads can't be sacked after the cut-off. Poole should contest any guest for him tomorrow.
-
Wolverhampton. If you check the BSPA website, he's in their current line up with a 7.4 cma. He couldn't be sacked as it was September 1st, so after the cut-off point. Don't know if Poole are planning to use him as a guest, but his 28 day ban should expire on 28th September.

Coventry V Poole ( Good V Evil) 15/9/14 Sky Meeting
Nellie replied to Jacques's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Why on earth would anyone, aside from Coventry fans, want Hansen banned? He's doing marvelously. -
No, I agree it's probably unlikely, but he definitely could. Depends how much a flight from Denmark to the UK costs, whether he's likely to recoup the money via guest bookings, and how obstinate he's feeling. There are certainly quite a few teams who need guests at the minute.
-
What if he does turn up ready to ride though? It would certainly set the cat among the pigeons. There would be no grounds to ban him, Leicester wouldn't get a facility and he would be free to guest for anyone subsequently.

Poole V Eastbourne - Wednesday 10 September
Nellie replied to Rob Dyer's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Probably worth pointing out that Watt is riding as a second string tonight, so I'm not sure his score is that much of a surprise. -

Not sure it's Bjarne's cup of tea either. -

Bjarne in for Ward. -
It's pretty much all anyone expects from Wolves' number one this season though.

Poole Vs Leicester 20/08/2014
Nellie replied to Tom Turner's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I think Bridger's guesting for Stead. Korneliussen and Klindt were due to be riding in Denmark (I think), so no facility hence the two PL six pointers. Edit. That doesn't explain the riding order though. -

A facility was granted by the SCB for Miedzinski against KL (for a GP qualifier, two years ago), even though he wasn't going to ride anyway. Hopefully Leicester will be granted one, otherwise it'll be a bit one sided. -
Thank God for Bomber.

Poole Pirates V Wolverhampton: Elite League. Wed, 4th June.
Nellie replied to Poole Quay 7's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
That'll explain the apathy on display so far... -
Bend one and two looked pretty ropey, and definitely cost Ward and Milik towards the end. I don't understand why it's not been sorted, as it seems to me that the home riders can't trust the track. Grajczonek is averaging 6.69 this year, including last night. He threw in a duff one yesterday, but IMO is generally exceeding expectations. I'm not sure either rider will be in the line up come the end of the season though. The only way to compensate at reserve is to have such a strong 1-5 it won't matter, which makes the second-strings on their inflated averages quite vulnerable. Provided their averages remain high though, I can't see any change happening for a month or two. Newman probably should have done a bit better last night, but he is only just coming back from a pretty bad injury and Kerr is the best reserve by far this year.

Poole Pirates Vs Lakeside Hammers 14/5/2014
Nellie replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Ah right, I see, you were winding up SS. I'm glad you have explained, as I was wondering why you had such an idiotic argument. To be honest, I was beginning to worry you were a bit hard of thinking. The trouble is, I was under the impression that WUMs were frowned upon on here. All of your trolling has only succeeded in de-railing the thread. By the way, I'm not indignant, but you're right that you don't matter a hoot. So, just for sake of clarification; behaving like a massive helmet is ok, as long as you just say afterwards "oh, it's your fault. I was on the wind up." -

What on earth is that to do with me? I am not Steve Shovlar, if you want to take it up with him, that's fine. I'm entirely consistent with my opinion: Coventry won in 2010 and were the reigning champions until Poole won in 2011. -
You are right though, aren't you? Wasn't Miedzinski awarded a new average in 2012 after eightish meetings? We'll have to see what the BSPA do, as any of the riders mentioned would improve Cov massively.

I'll make this my last post on this subject, as I don't want to take the thread off track. You seem to be claiming there are no reigning champions, but does that mean Tai isn't the reigning World Champion? A reigning champion is defined in the Collins dictionary as: "the most recent winner of a competition, contest etc." That would be unequivocally Poole, whose name is on the trophy. Incidentally, Josh and Newman both rode in the final for Poole, and Pawlicki helped get them there. If people don't agree with me, I can't say I'm particularly bothered, although several do seem to. You, on the other hand, claimed "only in blue rinse land" when I gave my opinion, so perhaps it is you who is rather arrogantly speaking for others? You're also quite wrong as I'm pretty sure neither Steve0, nor thecoombedog, will appreciate the blue tint you've given them.
