Speaking to Rohan before tonight's meeting at Rye House he said it's likely there will be a change in riding order on Thursday with Leigh and Morten swapping places. So we will have to wait and see. Also said he was glad some of us fans could see what was going on with him & Morten and his crash wouldn't have happened if Morten team rode!

What and have Morten beating the reserves up in three of his four rides like he did with Ritchie last night. At least putting him at two Ben won't take any crap from him and rides the outside line anyway, so Morten can sit on his inside line.

Well if us fans can see there is a problem, and from how animated Rohan was when he got back to the pit gate to Chris & Pete, surely they must know there is a problem. I think I would just swap Cam & Morten around.
  4. Heard that Rohan and Morten had heated words at last meeting. They just aren't team riding, just beating each other in the first bend. Tonights heat three just proved the point as all Morten had to do was let Rohan pass on the outside but he raced him into the corner pushing him wide and letting Howarth past. After heat 14 tonight after Morten barged his way past Ritchie, (no need for that as he was never going to catch Tero), Ben had serious words with him. He could have knocked Ritchie off, and its not as if Ipswich aren't paying the bonus point! I agree, if Cam isn't injured (hopefully) they should put Morten at two and Cam at four. The thing is we don't need bad team spirit at this point of the season. It would be a shame to split Ben and Cam up but if its in the best interest of team spirit it has to be done.
  5. Looked like it was one of Darcy Ward's as that was the name on the back of the saddle. Have to agree it looked slower than his usual bikes.

I think you meant to say they were Dyer, like he was again last night.

Why does Chris Gay always hold the tapes for so long? It's if he want to get riders excluded. The other thing was he came down from the box because he thought the track needed work on it even though no riders had complained! Thought Lewis Blackbird rode really well tonight, better than he did for Scunthorpe a few weeks back. Good all round solid team display from the Witches. Surprised at a few of the Redcar riders performances tonight as usually go well round Foxhall (Skidmore & Summers). Matej Kus great if makes start, looks like a novice if he doesn't.

Always seemed to be a crap rule, as if your number 7 has a high average say over 5 your team gets weakened and penalised.

But if you go by this rule any of them would be eligible, but who knows as posters have said as clear as mud!!!!

Depending what rule they are using, if a guest is allowed the choices were:- Chris Schramm Joe Jacobs Joey Ringwood Paul Starke Mitchell Davey Ryan Douglas Lewis Blackbird Damian Koppe Chris Mills Out of these maybe Mills, Schramm or even Douglas the way he finished the meeting the other week would probably be the choice. Had a feeling it would be Blackbird tho!

Lewis Blackbird is guesting in place of Adam Saturday, on Official Ipswich Website.
  12. Concerning the starting gate, that has been like it for the past few seasons, often see the start line staff bashing wedges into the holes that the posts sit in. I think its about time they re-cast the holes so that they fit better and keep the post more upright. Maybe a job for the winter.
  13. Don't you buy a program beerhut? It was Darren Hartley, think it is the first time he's been to Foxhall but could be wrong!
  14. Reading the Berwick report of the meeting on the bspa site, Ashworth was actually excluded for knocking off Leigh Lanham, not the incident with Adam. This make more sense now as he clearly moved into Leigh and brought him down on the back straight. Maybe Adam should've been excluded aswell for being underpower as he was not attached to his bike at the time.

Where in the rule book does it state you can be thrown out of a meeting for verbals between riders, punches yes. If you're that bored don't post. Ipswich could only beat the team put out on the track, if one of your riders spits out his dummy and gets himself thrown out of the meeting that down to him. The whole team pulling out of the meeting would've looked good on the the bspa chairman. I wonder what sanctions would've been taken.
  16. To be fair Ashworth never seems to go well round Foxhall. Seems to be the norm, a rider who is used to fast big tracks like Berwick, Sheffield seem to struggle when they come to the tight tricky tracks like Ipswich, Rye House. Maybe they need a season at one of these tracks to crack them.
  17. Spoke to Nick the rerun cameraman after the meeting and he confirmed that Ricky Ashworth didn't touch Adam, and even Adam admitted when he was interviewed for his man of the meeting award that he was surprised to be in the rerun. The ref has to make a decision and got it wrong but they don't have all the camera angles like on a sky meeting. I sit in the home straight stand right in front of the ref and from my view it looked like Ricky left him no room, so until they put officials at both end of the circuits as well as the ref, mistakes are going to be made.

Hamish, do you know Ben Personally then to know what he thinks?

Fact is nothing would have happened if Cook didn't lose his dummy after being dropped from the world cup and starting spouting tripe on twitter about fellow riders, so maybe Cook needs to keep his mouth shut also. Regarding the apology why did it take so long to put on his website, as he tweeted last night it would be on at midday. He could have done it last night, but then I guess he didn't write it and somebody did it for him.

How do you know, do you know him personally! Note: Facts only please!

What about an apology to the Referee after the abuse he got, that makes two.

It might also be a reality check to Craig Cook's ego as well, after all the stuff he came out with after being dropped in the world cup. He is a good rider at premier league level, but really in the Elite League, apart from the top one or two in the teams he is only beating premier league standard riders and double uppers from the premier league. The same can be said of Barker, which makes them think they are better than they are, which the world cup proved.

That still doesn't make what cookie done right tho' does it, or are you using this to justify what he did.

Thanks, look forward to meeting you in the cup final.

Firstly, have to feel sorry for the Edinburgh fans and riders who travelled down to Ipswich to have their chance of a cup final taken away by the actions of their number 1. Secondly, have to give credit to the referee for taking the action he did, because there is no place for this in speedway. There were a lot of children there, being the first week of school holidays, so what Cook down was out of order. From what I saw from sitting by the start line is Ben was walking past Craig, maybe there were words between the two but couldn't hear and Craig grabbed him by shoulder and then punched him in the back of the head. It then spilled into the pit area and couldn't see anymore. By some accounts the ref took the two riders and managers into the dressing rooms, and Craig was effing and blinding at the ref and ripped a heater off the wall. Then it was announced that Craig was banned from the rest of the meeting. The last time I remember a rider getting banned from the rest of the meeting for punching a fellow rider was Craig Boyce on Tomasz Gollob at the gp at Hackney.
