Parken Gp 2013
BuxtonTiger replied to DutchGrasstrack's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Sounds like a great night out, if only I wasn't in Copenhagen. -
Regarding FTM's point above and deflating airfences, at Sheffield would have to be removed fully when it stages Stock Cars.

Sheffield Vs Dudley (ch) 23rd May
BuxtonTiger replied to spin king junior's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
What is the weather like their? Have they borrowed the burst drain from Belle Vue? Do we have another enquiry due or is it just a case of the public being let down again by so called businessmen? -

Northern Junior League Fixtures 2013
BuxtonTiger replied to kevcfc's topic in Youth Speedway and Development Leagues
Thanks for that, this is great. A four heat meeting does not seem much. Will there be other races at Northside when there are NJL matches? What will be the normal start times. Where can more information be obtained. - Thanks -

Kelvin - Any news as to when the MDL Website will be up and running this season. -
Ok, but what happens in the Premier League with their restricted bonus points?
-
Well that all appears to be fun banter. What does it matter who rides in what, nowadays the chances of any racing after the "main match" appear very restricted - so anyone on any track racing is better than nothing. - Stop squabbling !!

With the AGM now over and Midenhall happy with the outcome (see BSPA website) is anyone going to spill the beans and let us the paying public know whats going on?

Mdlrc Report __dangreenwood 2012 Champion
BuxtonTiger replied to Main Man's topic in Youth Speedway and Development Leagues
What a great example of how a meeting should be run, if they were all like this then crowds would return. Nothing worse than been kept hanging around for hours in the cold. Full marks to all concerned for getting everything including the sponsorship sorted. Slight moan, £1.50 for an 8 page programme. -
Mdl Needs A Rule Change
BuxtonTiger replied to boston five's topic in Youth Speedway and Development Leagues
As well as rule changes, it would increase the competitions status if fixtures took place whwn they should. As it appears that all sides have "squads" of riders then it is dissapointing when fixtures do not take place. I was at both Sheffield and Stoke over the weekend both of which had matches scheduled and both of which did not take place. Also, more suprisingly as both tracks have MDL sides there was no second halfs or practice for their MDL riders. -

Look on the Sky Sports Speedway website. If you can work out how to turn it round to run right to left instead of up and down, please let me know. -
British Semi-finals Line-up
BuxtonTiger replied to mdmc82's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
Looking at the clear blue sky in Sheffield, even heavy rain overnight (if there was any) leaves me baffled and confused as to why work has not taken place on the track today to make it raceable. But to get to Sheffield is only a 150 mile round trip at my own expense. Guess I may as well turn round and return home. At no time today had I thought the meeting needed checking. Perhaps the Sheffield Management could "come clean" on this one as I will now be very sceptical about setting out for future meetings. -
What ever they are, it will be worth every penny.

Am I the only one or following last nights lengthy meeting at Kings Lynn does the start time of 3pm at Buxton cause concern. With the clocks changing if it is a dark day then there will not be enough time to fit 15 heats in before the light fades,I would think it would not be safe for racing after 4.15pm. Does anyone know if it may start earlier at say 1.30pm to allow for a proper safe meeting and to give value for money to those who pay for admission.
