  1. Even still now the shock of Danny's untimely passing is hard to take in.

Danny had some inner demons that lead him to take this course.

My feelings now are that as a sport we need to honour Danny in the best possible way.

Everyone involved in the sport needs to feel that they have someone they can go to when they're going through what Danny was.

Whether it's an expert in this field or just a friendly face or someone they can talk to it needs to be done in Danny's honour.

  2. Time to demand a Welsh rider I think. Congrats James White-Williams on your wildcard!

So i take it James is the Welsh National champion then.:rofl: . In fact is there such a thing, has there ever been such a thing or will there ever be such a thing.

Not wishing to be disparaging of anything welsh it forfeits the right

  3. Excuse me, but what has all this Poole / Coventry nonsense got to do with the ELRC?

    Take your posion elsewhere.

    All the best

    Rob

Nothing Rob, but SS can't help himself.

He's just reminded why i stopped coming on here.

As i said, the unified booing around the stadium when Kevin Coombes asked where the Poole fans we're said everything that needed to be said.

Really topped an enjoyable evening,no quarters being given by most riders & a well deserved winner, all that matters really.

    C ya

  4. What complete and utter tosh. It was a terrific meeting yesterday - the best ELRC I've seen for... well a long time time.

I think the several thousand in attendance were very happy with what they saw yesterday.

    All the best

    Rob

I Know Rob, but then i guess it would've been a million times better if a certain Dane could even have been bothered.

  5. Feel for the poole riders that their club is disliked by so many other teams. I dont think this is down to them winning the league as other teams win things and dont get booed. it is down to the inside influences they have in the board and therefore when i have spoke to alot of other speedway fans and not coventry fans, these were fans of swindon, kings lynn and peterborough, they have all said how this year they think it has been a hollow victory by poole. shame as riders still give it their all and think without ford on the board they would be taken seriously when win things and liked more by other teams

    Sincerely agree.

  6. Really enjoyed this meeting, good crowd & worth the entrance fee.

Quite a few riders weren't giving a inch & 1 or 2 looked like they couldn't careless, but that's Sicknote for ya.

Best sound of the night, the chorus of Boos around the stadium when Kevin Coombes mentioned the name Poole, i enjoyed that & i hope Mr Ford was listening in the pits.

Well done to all the riders, bar the odd few.

    Rory, you deserve this.

Scotty, a nice way to cap off what has been a torrid year. :approve:

Bomber. Unlucky, we still want you back where you belong.

Fish. Tough night, deserved more for the effort.

  7. I don't think you've grasped the reasons behind the expansion, Humphrey - the NZGP will be the start of the season, hardly disrupting anything, and more rounds will increase exposure to a worldwide market equalling more advertising dollars.

The NZGP is a great addition but it disrupts the begining of the UK season & that in itself is a problem for riders competing, logistically.

Would've been much better a month or 2 earlier in the NZ summer.

  8. The fundamentalist zealots of the Wimborne Road Grandstand strike again. Fresh from lustily booing Chris Harris for the heinous crime of underperforming in an Aces race-jacket, therefore clearly manipulating his average the better to benefit the evil Bees for next season, they now want Kennett expunged from the season. Where will it end? Gordon Kennett stripped of his World Championship second in 1978? White City to lose their Championship pennant from the previous year, because of Uncle Gordon's murky links with the Weslake concern?

Surely Kennett was not acting alone? You trying to tell me his team mates and management didn't know? Ban them all, especially that Larsen one with the suspicious surname.

It is so good that one club and it's followers are standing firm against all the underhand practices prevalent in the Sport today.

    Buffoonery is best ignored.

......and posts from SS are gold medal candidates in that class every time.:lol:

  9. I couldn't agree more. I've already reported the post. But this is Steve shovlar we are talking about. He gets away with everything and no doubt this post will remain.

Same here mate, but as you say this is SS we're talking about, we shall see.

Nobody at Coventry has condoned Eddie's actions, let that be clear.

  10. It was announced on BBC local news at 5pm last Thursday, after local radio phoned Rugby for a response to the Bees statement. The BSPA refused to comment (no change there then) but they would be issuing a statement within the next 12 hours. This is the organisation that hasn't seen fit to tell speedway supporters officially the rules for next year despite the AGM being 2 months ago. That didn't even acknowledge that there was going to be an EGM last Wednesaday.Upto now they have been accountable to no one, preferring to do secretive deals behind closed doors. That might be about to change.I believe it is today that the Bees/Peterborough go to court to seek an injunction. If and I repeat if,they are successful then the BSPA will be from now, accountable to a court of law.

You have to laugh that the Duchess of Sherbourne has had to resort to begging Bees fans to try and persuade Sandhu to drop the court action.Maybe it is beginning to sink in,that maybe just maybe the BSPA might lose, and the Bees will be vindicated.

Perhaps you should be going down to the local Poole chippy and asking 'Elvis' if he hasn't allowed his personal bitternes over the play-off humiliation to seriously cloud his judgement.

We know Monckton Chambers are representing the Bees/P'boro,perhaps it will be the legal experts from this forum, who will be representing the BSPA,afterall they seem to 'know' that the BSPA case is watertight.

    :approve::lol:
