    Just A Thought...

they need access to nl but can't get it because of riders who haven't moved to cl who haven't moved up because of all the riders who should have moved up to div 1

    Newcastle 2018

no wouldn't need set nights with one big league and commuters....err commuted! No need to lose tracks and run at an affordable level

Mike bv-every word you said is right on the money - be nice if someone listened.
  4. Affordable get control of costs now before it all goes ** up - 1st year business studies. Costs are the one main thing you have control over - you don't have as much control over your selling price (i.e. admission fees must be competitive against other entertainments and of course staying at home). Yes you can publicise but its not as important as cost control I bet the promoters don't run their businesses like they run their tracks

    British Speedway 2018

perfect - but they haven't got the guts to do it. The paying public are having to fit around big name riders! Talk about the tail wagging the dog. And too many think the big names produce the best racing - wrong, they just win alot
  6. how about the customers??? Without them there is no livelihood
  7. a more accurate summing up is at Sheffield tonight 1 meaningless fixture 2 only 1 real bear 3 ambulance doesn't turn up imagine a first timer attending this
  8. its not just you - I would imagine 75 pc of 2nd tier clubs need to cut expenses drastically lots of nettles need firmly grasping this winter

Is There Hope For The Future.?

they need to make room in the nl by moving current nl riders to championship and weakening the strength (and costs) of the championship and also moving Cook etc to the top league to make room bit like how d2 riders used to move to d1

    Pay Rates Mystery

there's a big part of the problem there - a way has to be found to make that sum smaller - i don'tknow how - needs a person who knows about the bikes. Be interesting what percentage of income goes on kit. Somebody needs to grasp the costs nettle and grasp it hard

the money teams will fiddle whatever system is in place - at least this is simple (ish) and i do beleive it is used elsewhere

    Pay Rates Mystery

i think we've always accepted that but if there isn't the footfall to pay them thats just how it is. People who parachute or climb mountains risk their future health too but no one's paying them If they didn't have to spend so much on kit they might make a bob or two when Tim Swales ran Middlesbrough he used to say riders could earn an average weekly wage in one night

like this idea but would go A 0 - 4.00, B 4.01- 7.5, then above for C but its all arguable isn't it - the basic idea is simple and sound I commend it to the house
  15. I don't know how the hell you get a doctor's appt with 48 hours! its usually next week for me
  16. I hope this is an indication that Bukkhave might be back next year - I think he'll come good. Would be funny if we had a wet spell wouldn't it?

    Swindon Stadium

    he's dead
  18. I don't know how any club can make important announcements for 2018 when the league structures, fixed days, averages, etc etc have not been decided. Leicester could announce they are dropping down then its one big league! who knows?

    Assets

I agree with your first point - I think football gets around that by some kind of fee for training the young player so far - in the lower leagues anyway. So rather than a transfer fee for a good youngster brought through by, say, Buxton - they would get compensation fee if he moved on.

one day someone will challenge it in the courts and that'll be the end of that. Some rider will be prevented from riding because of loans fees, etc and it will be challenged

satire is not dead - very good Whisperer.
  22. haven't read every word written here but it is vital that Buxton, Mildy, Plymouth, IOW etc etc are able to compete in the lower league it would mean a very very drastic cut in standards for the rest of the league which is fine by me but i expect it would meet with resistance
