Redcar Half Team V Glasgow Strong Team

idiotic comment if i may say so with dozens of riders all over the world in wheelchairs or deceased and many many more with lifelong injuries -
Scunthorpe are on the bones of their ar*e at the moment - perhaps you'd prefer them to pull out of the league - what the hell difference is he going to make with his current form - 4/5 points its an unusual situation - not one that will happen again in a hurry
-
you make a fair comment of course but this isn't what the NL was for. How are Buxton and Mildenhall, etc supposed to compete with this?
-
personally I was never happier than the 60s and 70s when second div riders turned up from a days work with a bike stopped to the back of the car and a spare motor and there was none of this du/dd. I'll happily take a drop in second div rider standards to get back there
-
fair comment - I'm just frustrated - I guess. u are too
-
hey - its not my problem - its yours, you're losing the income we're nearly all part time fans - thats why there's hardly any left!! What riders should be doing??? Appearing for my team that I pay money to watch, except I'm not tomorrow its second division speedway - one bike should suffice - ride the bloody track spare I don't care once upon a time I would have gone regardless - not any more I'm afraid, not at 16 bones a go and by the way I'm not a part time fan I'm a customer
-
Christ he must have more than one I was taking 3 adults and 2 kids - £56 plus 10 or 15 at the bar and shop - going to an Italian instead - all dishes on the menu will be available
-
yes but ours aren't - dozens and dozens won't go - the cost of a flight will be nothing with 200 £16 quids missing
-
this will affect not just Redcar result but crowd too

this was an interesting topic - completely ruined

Is There A Need For Guest Riders?
ch958 replied to steve roberts's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
it isn't an easy thing to solve tbh but with the introduction of credible promotion and relegation it HAS to be dealt with to go forward -
why dont the mods just block this idiot
-
you are correct of course but won't the 'asset' question come up? X, Y or Z team benefitting from coaching they don't actually provide themselves and conversely will the BSPA or whoever object to the expense of training someone else's asset? It could be funded by a tax of sorts but you can't see that being popular. It highlights the lack of unity in the sport, which is essentially 30 different businesses loosely associated

if 300 is the norm for NL, 5-700 for Ch and 9-1200 for prem thats what clubs should budget for we keep expecting miracles re crowds year after year - its time for some serious financial management and if it has to be become amateur or semi pro so be it. You can't argue with numbers. a massive publicity campaign might help but nobody will pay for it

wish there was a way of either keeping Garcia or bringing back Buckhave when Busch returns but i don't know how the averages work these days -

Don't like to complain after the effort KK has put in but we are carrying 2 passengers atm and one in particular shows no sign that it might change. -

no offence to my Diamond pals but the problem at Brough has always been the same while I've been going and thats the shape. I can never understand why the bends aren't shortened - would it be more like Monmore then? -
so are you saying it would be better if they didn't have it? From what i have read culture can benefit regeneration, although obviously your sink estate yobs will still be there. Perhaps they'll be quoting Larkin and Marvell as they stomp on your head.
-
reasonably well balanced teams, a clear league structure, lots of young brits coming through why wouldn't crowds pick up
-
i am very surprised that such an announcement would be made - i would have thought family, etc would need to be informed first. Perhaps they were present, i don't know. I have never witnessed a fatal crash at a meeting and would never wish to. The Gunderson/ Cross crash at Odsal was bad enough.

forgive myignorance but why the animosity

ch958 replied to Sidney the robin's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I see a wealth of talent coming through myself it is vital that there is a clear route from 3rd tier to 2nd tier - quite a few 3rd tier riders have been there a little too long imo it would mean moving some second tier riders out - either to the top tier and ending double down or limit the number of foreigners and before anyone says anything you can limit foreigners by group consent
