They really need to make the full findings public. That answers the questions with facts.

They probably won't and that does the Sport no good.

Plenty of issues in the past that have either been swept under the carpet and in to the long grass, or penalties reported but no full explanation.

Agree the facts of this case need to be known by other riders to avoid a similar situation arising.

Also why has this taken so long to sort out?

Why will there be a shortage of riders with Poland reducing their block on riders and possibly a couple of tracks less?

There is currently an acute shortage of riders in the U.K. for every rider in the U.K. that doubles-up that's one rider short. I can easily see 6 double-up riders retiring @ the end of this season that's 12 team places alone! Any rider currently riding in Poland but not the U.K. will require big bucks to do so in 2023 so I don't see that as the solution. We must encourage U.K. talent to take up the sport & welcome our commonwealth cousins.                                                                                                                           The double-up situation should only be used as the last resort, riders may love it but for all other reasons it's a disaster for our once great sport.

Nice piece in the "star" about a possible comeback but not sure about national league, tried a while back didnt work, thoughts?

I can't see any option but to start in the National League. There is an acute shortage of riders for the championship not to mention their wage demands.

  4. Question: with the regular crashes @ Mldenhall there seems to be a fundamental problem sharing the track with the stockcars. How about building a new speedway track along the existing & share the carpark & other existing facilities. Anybody got other ideas.

If a club wants to book a guest, they go through the subject rider's own club to book him.    Obviously, they may have checked with the rider beforehand to ascertain his availability, but the booking is with the parent club.

In this case Ipswich? so Poole wouldn't have had a say in the booking!

Don’t know why so many people knock Kemp, he can be a bit inconsistent but he still young and learning.

Looks like Drew 118 saved the pirates ship from sinking tonight.  The pirates 3x number one's didn't score as expected/required. However recent Poole results have made the Championship more open/interesting & a smaller wage bill for the Fords!

  7. It would seem the biggest problem with speedway in the U.K. is to much energy, money & effort is spent on getting the best team & making the play-offs etc..

When the biggest effort should be:

    1. Attracting a paying crowd that makes a profit week on week.

    2. Providing a exciting & entertaining evening for the crowd.

    3. Address the desperate shortage of U.K. riders.

Great win for the Bullets and a fully deserved point for the Fen Tigers. Could’ve easily been more for them but for the heroics of Ben Rathbone who was the Bullets match winner with 9+1. A brilliant 5-1 in the penultimate heat when Rathbone raced to a win as a reserve switch, Greg Blair grabbing second place with a sublime pass on Alex Spooner.
Kyle Bickley with a skippers performance, taking care of the impressive Jason Edwards in the final heat to seal the win.
A good evenings entertainment. It’s a shame there wasn’t more there to see it.

Interesting looking @ the reserves scores Berwick 12   Mildenhall 3. Looks like a good meeting for those present & both teams coming away with something.

Killing team sport using my home town wolves as an example              Sam masters rides for Edinburgh .Nick morris rides for Leicester. Ryan Douglas rides for Scunthorpe  Steve Worral rides for Poole. Drew kemp rides for Poole .leon flint rides for Berwick, only Luke Becker rides only for wolves, right there is why team speedway has died in Britain, how is anyone new to the sport supposed to follow their club when it’s just a glorified swingers club, speedway has many other issues as why it is dying but as far as team speedway goes this has killed the team concept

Spot on there Deanno, G.B. speedway needs at huge influx of riders just to give it any credibility. The fact is as things are riders love it - double the wage packets with little extra expense - they would not take to kindly to no doubling up!

5 man teams and one league to get us out of this mess!

The main reason we have a shortage of U.K. riders is because none are coming from the Grasstracks.

Grasstrack is now less than 10% of what it was 20+ years ago when most of the top riders were tempted to have a go @ Speedway!

P.S. The old style second half with junior races allowed "wan-a-be-stars" to show their talents.

So surprise surprise Henry Atkins look's like he will finish up with the Oxford Chargers, the dilemma now for the Oxford management is what should they do:

    1. Have a hot line from team manager to Mike Atkins to get any tactical moves approved.

    2. Make Mike Atkins team manager so the team manager can't do anything that "might" upset the blue eyed boy avoiding the need for option 1.

    3. Keep Mike Atkins clear of any contact with the boy during the meeting & let Henry succeed or fail on his own merits.

All a bit tongue n' check folks, but H & M Atkins have previously let both Somerset & Plymouth down. Mike Atkins is not a bad person - but he's both Henry's

best & worst influence. Good luck to Henry on his "predicted" move to Oxford & show everyone what you are capable of.

"If" Henry is transferred to Oxford will that then end Plymouth's option of a guest or R/R facility?
