    Peterborough Panthers 2017

I hope Holder has better offers on those 2 dates, as I don't want to see him in the SGBCL again.

    Peterborough Panthers 2017

It's typical of the modern day attitude of 'I want what I want and I want it now, but everybody else has to follow the rules'. The promoter and rider probably look at it as a one-off, but what if lots of riders said they weren't going to ride for a set period of time, because they had a better offer elsewhere? The sport would be more chaotic than it is now.

    Workington V Ipswich 19/8/17

Just had a look at the Comets web site. At the bottom of the first page, there is a piece entitled 'Latest Result'. It is dated 8th July, Workington 44 Sheffield 46. Surely someone could try to keep the information up to date. It gives the impression that nobody is bothered.
  4. Their schedule for the second half of August is crazy, and I think that someone at Belle Vue should have thought it through beforehand, rather than punishing IOW for what would probably be one of their biggest meetings of the season. 16/8 Rye House, 17/8 Glasgow, 18 Belle Vue, 19 Leicester, 20 Newcastle, 21 Belle Vue, 22 IOW, 23 Birmingham, 24 day off, 25 Belle Vue, 26 Glasgow, 27 day off, 28 Poole at 11.00, then 2 meetings at Wolverhampton, 29 day off, 30 Belle Vue, 31 Sheffield.
  5. Ty may not be as good as he once was, but he always gives 100% effort, and his travel expenses should only be for 2 miles!

    Sheffield 2017

If I remember correctly, the start time was brought forward so that supporters could get home earlier.
  11. Again - the Supplementary Regulations state that teams in the 4s must pick their top 4 by MA.
  12. I can't remember if he moaned when Anders Thomsen had a 24 hour illness last year, when he missed a meeting at Sheffield because of an Under 21 meeting 2 days later.
  13. There you are then. George English's fault!!
  14. Especially when they have had over a week to arrange for a NL rider to take Holder's place.

    Edinburgh Vs Panthers - 11/08/17

Supplementary Regulations for the CL Fours include:- Each Team must include their Top 4 by MA, with a Reserve being optional. If a reserve is named, then he must be the lowest by MA from the 5 selected riders.
  16. SHEFFIELD: Josh Grajczonek, Todd Kurtz, Lasse Bjerre R/R, Josh Bates, Kyle Howarth, Jan Graversen, Georgie Wood. WORKINGTON: Richard Lawson, Mason Campton, Ty Proctor, Matt Williamson, Thomas Jorgensen, James Sarjeant, Alfie Bowtell. Changes updated.
  17. The rules clearly state that each team must include their top 4 riders by MA. Nowhere does it state that a Promoter can agree to a rider riding somewhere else. This situation has caused untold damage to the sport. I expect a statement from the SCB tomorrow, but won't hold my breath.
  18. Seems pretty straightforward:- 16.1 Fixtures shall take priority as follows: FIM SGP, SWC, SGP Qualifying Meetings, FIM U21 World Speedway Championship Meetings, FIM Europe U21 Championship, British Championships (Senior, Junior), BSPA Shared and Fee Events, Official Competitions: 1. SGB Premiership; 2. SGB Championship; 3. National Development League. NB. Non-Official Competitions have no priority over any of the above. A Rider must be released to take part in a higher priority Meeting, unless he is “Doubling Up”, in which case the priority for a clash of Official Meetings is as follows: - a) The Original Fixture if there is a clash with a re-arranged Fixture 1st priority to the owner of the rider c) 2nd priority to the previous season club d) 3rd priority to the league in which the owner club is a member. 16.1.2 A Transfer during the Season does not change this priority. 16.1.3 It is the duty of the Staging Promotion to ensure that all Fixtures are completed and in the event of it being necessary to re-arrange a Team Fixture, the Promoter(s) shall mutually agree a re- staging date. Should they fail to agree the sole authority to specify a date and/or venue for the re-staging shall lie with the BSPA MC. 16.1.4 In all Events that count towards a Championship, the Regulations must be adhered to and any Team or Individual found in breach of the Regulations will be liable to a penalty including the loss of League Points or removal from a Competition. Supplementary Regs. Draw and Riding Order: Will be made by the BSPA. Each Team must include their Top 4 by MA, with a Reserve being optional. If a reserve is named, then he must be the lowest by MA from the 5 selected riders. Actual Team line ups for the Semi Final must be declared 5 days prior to the event. For the Final, line ups can be changed, but must be declared within Fifteen (15) minutes of completion of the Semi Final.
  19. Great result for the Sheffield 'Proper' Tiggers. Never saw that coming.
  20. EDINBURGH: Sam Masters, Theo Pijper, Ricky Wells, Max Clegg, Erik Riss, Josh Pickering, Mitchell Davey. SHEFFIELD: Chris Harris, Todd Kurtz, Lasse Bjerre R/R, Josh Bates, Kyle Howarth, Jan Graversen, Georgie Wood. Lasse Bjerre picked up a knee injury last night.
  21. Lasse Bjerre withdrawn from meeting at Swindon tonight after a fall when riding for Leicester. No further details yet.

    Sheffield 2017

Now on Rebels web site:-- Rebels should be back to full strength for Friday’s match with Josh Grajczonek expected to have recovered from the knock he sustained while riding in Poland on Sunday, which kept him out of the team which lost at Wolves on Monday.
