Just aswell Newcastle United are doing very good as if Mr Ashley was still in charge could you imagine how depressing it would be with the toon fighting relegation or even getting relegated last season & the diamonds getting the plug pulled midway through the season... But thankfully the Saudis came in !! Just a pity they never had a bit loose change probably a million or 2 & could have sorted a new speedway venue out for us diamonds supporters

    Nee money in it man!

We haven’t made an approach to the NDL as things stand. The main reason being that we were in negotiations with the Premiership until today.

The NDL is part our our longer term plan if that’s something the NDL want, but we have to be sure that we don’t over-commit at this stage as we have now committed to 54 meetings on 2023.

It is important that BSN grows at a rate that doesn’t compromise the product that we offer - we are a very small team and we have to be realistic with our immediate ambitions.

Our NDL take up in 2022 was understandably short of the number of subscribers for Premiership and Championship, which is the biggest challenge we have to overcome as financially it has to work.

Hopefully that explains our reasons for prioritising Premiership and Championship coverage to date, but please be assured that NDL is absolutely part of our long term plan as we are extremely passionate about the future stars of British Speedway - it’s essential to the future of our sort in the UK.

To summarise - if it’s possibly for us, we will do everything we can!

    Makes sense :t:

Why the hell are we,the paying fans, putting up with our sport being diluted by those who actually run it and yet will probably expect us to pay more?

I am honestly having a serious think about which meeting I will attend next season and although only a single individual whose presence won't be missed at least I know I'm voting with my feet (and wallet)

Maybe if more fans did the same in an organised manner promoters may come to respect fans and their income?

Yeah,,, well spare a thoughts for those that will turn up for all meetings.

They'll probably end up paying even more the following season, cos the likes of you that carn't be arsed!!! ;)

I have been around Speedway for over 40 years now and I honestly don’t know how rider contracts, assets work etc but I thought( may be wrong) Jordan Jenkins was a Redcar asset? If that is the case could Redcar not of stopped him going anywhere else and said to him “ Your our asset we want to and are going to use you next season” Like I said I haven’t a clue how this side of speedway works and I also understand why keep a rider if he is going to be unhappy and upset the team spirit

The whole 'assets things' probably doesn't hold much water, but a suppose it makes things 'look' a bit official?

Seems a bit strange as they are racing tomorrow and probably should of done it asap.Might as well ran the Boxing Day meeting then cancelled the rest.

Yeah, it does seem bizarre,,, as you say racing tomorrow and am sure it has been raced on after that incident?

Shame tho, cos I do enjoy Sedgefield on Boxing Day,,, suppose I can walk to Gossy Park and our driver can have a pint or two. ;)

Rueben brothers are in it for themselves. They took ARC venues out of some of the betting shops in 2017 and had no live pictures if they did not agree with payment.

A see they've taken Sedgefields 'biggest racing day' Boxing Day fixture and moved it to Newcastle, wonder what that is about?

There are a number of examples of only ONE promoter being at a club, you only have to look down the road at Redcar who have only had one on a number of recent years under Havelock and his follow up Keay. And before anyone mentions it CVS was not a promoter but a director as the rules did not allow you to ‘promote’ at more than one club but then we know how rules can be interpreted in speedway .

'rules' is also an anagram 'lures'. ;)

    It speedway Promoters though.

I know, but they are the rules of speedway and Grant will have had to follow the rules.

Hmmm,,, could be something in there?

'Rules is Rules' a suppose? ;)

Biggest loser in terms of biggest idiot then yes I agree.

Credit for 1st season, no credit for 2nd season.
Communication zero, and not willing to ask for help.
The people who have lost the most in all this is us, the fans, not him!

    No, just telling the truth.

Well maybe someone else needs too/should've took the bull by the horns?

    (Pardon the pun). ;)

Personally am inclined to agree with Ghosty.
