I think going to a speedway meeting is not always just about the quality of racing that is produced on the night. Other factors can come into play. If you have been going to a track for a period of time you generally start to mix with other supporters and make friends. The conversations that you have, usually about speedway, the banter and just being with like minded people can help with the enjoyment factor. But...........having decent racing as well is even better.

I would just like to say that I hadn't seen a great deal of Simon Stead until he started riding for us this year (Leicester). He's a great rider, I rally do have a lot of time for the guy, very professional and unassuming. He's getting better each week, gonna get over to Sheffield one week and have a look it him round there. All the best.

I think a few people need to get a grip and put things into perspective. It's a speedway meeting, We are not about to be invaded by overseas powers who want to send our children back up chimneys, (although I might vote for that) The world will not suddenly end because this meeting will go ahead. Leicester and Swindon speedway will still be here tomorrow. If you want to go and watch fine, enjoy it. If you don't..................then..........er.........well ............don't.

I agree. If people want to go that's fine by me, you pays your money etc. I hope they enjoy it. For me I have decided against going because I don't think I will enjoy it. Personally I'm not overly impressed with the league. It's not good when there are so many guest and R/R . I much prefer the premier league that's why I have started to drift back to watching Sheffield, as I used to before Leicester opened. The state of the EL isn't Leicesters fault it's the way the league is run in general I think. It's a shame. But hey at least the suns been shining.

I'm not really here to score points or convince anyone that I'm right or they are wrong. In my opinion the Leicester track does not produce decent entertainment/racing. Something is drastically wrong with it, I'm not a track expert I just pay my money and hope to enjoy the racing. I'm afraid at Leicester the enjoyment factor is very low. But on the plus side it was a lovely night weather wise.

I'm a pretty easy going sort of chap, kinda go with the flow, and try and make the best of things. But, regarding the track I think I've got to admit defeat on this one. It's pointless going on about what's wrong with it, it's all been said a million times. I love speedway, always have, since I was 11 years old and started going to Long Eaton. What is served up at Leicester isn't Speedway it's just follow the leader. It's a real shame as I have met some great people at BP and made a lot of new friends. Last night was the worst meeting I've ever seen..............Terrible.

I have to agree that was pretty bad. Not one single pass in 15 heats. If you don't gate you might as well head straight back to the pits.

The information updates on the Leicester site is rubbish and always has been. Also who ever designed it has given no thought to the fact that people with bad eyesight or just getting on a bit have no chance of reading the text.

Well. On paper this has a Kings Lynn win written all over it. Dependent on who we get as a guest for Jason Doyle it could probably go either way. Lets hope the predicted thunderstorms don't wipe the meeting out, I'm rather looking forward to this one.

I went along to this yesterday not expecting to much. But, I have to say that I really enjoyed it. Nice weather, decent racing and no Chris Popple. Defiantly be going again.

Actually parking is fantastic, loads of room in the Beaumont centre car park. You might have to do something that requires a bit of effort though, it's called walking. Apparently lots of people used to do it .

Have you been attending speedway meetings for long ? I don't really understand what you want them to do. The weather forecast turned out to be wrong. They gave it an extra 30 minutes to see if the rain would stop. If it had the meeting could have started. You can use your ticket for another meeting or you can get your money back. If you were so sure the meeting wouldn't be on. Why did you go in the first place. Calling the people who work there Some long dark haired Asian looking woman clueless !! is not really gonna help anyone is it. No one forced you to walk through the entrance to the stadium.

It was unfortunate. I think the forecast caught most people out. You do understand that your ticket can be used for another meeting or you can write in to Leicester speedway and get a refund.
