Along with other people I agree that the Leicester track is pretty bad in terms of producing anything near decent racing. The problem is that the promotion obviously don’t want to make the necessary changes to improve things or they believe that nothing is wrong with the way things are at present. The other reason could be that perhaps they simply don’t have the funds available to make any changes. I’m not sure what the percentage of dissatisfaction is amongst the paying public. But, I have to say that the gates continue to be very healthy at Leicester. A lot of people continue to turn up week in, week out, regardless. I think Leicester could probably be kept as it is for sometime and it would still attract bigger crowds than some other clubs. It would be a very interesting exercise to try and find out the true feeling from the regular support and I mean not just the ones who post on here. Maybe some kind of tick box survey could be arranged. If the majority do feel that the track needs changing then something could be organized to raise the funds needed. Just a thought.

Fair play to Edinburgh. I did actually think we were going to do it at one stage but it then all went Pete Tong. It was always going to be difficult to pull back that amount of points I guess. And believe it or not I did rather enjoy the meeting especially in the early stages. We really do need to improve our away form. Once again well done Edinburgh.

Well done Sheffield congratulations on your win. However, I wouldn’t get too carried away. Leicester were poor last night. Make no mistake this tie was lost at Beaumont Park a few weeks ago. We should have built up a much bigger lead to take to Sheffield to have stood any real chance of going further in the competition. Sheffield really do have such a massive home advantage, I think they have only lost at home something like 8 times in 15 years. Which says it all really? Unless you ride the track week in week out its very difficult to get your set up etc right. I personally think the loss of Adam Roynon is a big blow to Leicester. I was expecting him to become the sides No 1 eventually. Now we have the same side as last year with the addition of Kevin Doolan, who I do like and think will get better. But, I think our form away from home will again let us down.

I think you'll see. We will certainly finish much higher than Sheffield.

I think this is a good post. I think the racing at Leicester could be better but the fact of the matter is that it aint gonna change in the foreseeable future, if at all. Its probably time to make your mind up to A/ except things the way that they are and continue to go, or B/ stop going and find an alternative track to go to or C/ learn to love Ant & Dec and the delights of Saturday night TV. We can moan till the cows come home, but lets face it. Leicester is what it is. Its a shame I know but there you have it.

I know I'm not good at predictions. But, I think Leicester will struggle at Sheffield. I hope we can keep it close and I'm looking forward to seeing a good meeting.

Sheffield may have a free race card, but, parking is £2. Racing has improved slighty at Leicester turns 3 & 4 are starting to develope more lines. Having said that I find the track far to slick and they grade it to much.

I was interested to find out exactly what he does. And at the end of the interview I still don't have a clue. What ever it is he does, it takes him up to ten hours a day to do it. but I suppose taking programmes out of boxes from the printers can be time consuming.

Your absoluty right, I'm rubbish at it. Credit to Sheffield I certainly underestimated them . I'll be there this coming Thursday to see the mighty Lions..............don't think I'll make a prediction though.
