    Leicester 2014 . Elite

I'm just going to wonder what will happen next year when they try to get even 2 riders down the straight when there's an air fence on the already pencil thin Newcastle track straights? Just as much if not more passing than on the gas and go tracks like Sheffield this year Just as much if not more passing than on the gas and go tracks like Sheffield this year

    Message To The Leicester Promotor

And you obviously missed the dirty great pile of Shale just inside pits entrance that was taken off the track (50 Tons I heard) in an effort to get the meeting on?Anyone with half a knowledge of Speedway would know that if you take the whole top surface off a track it's bound to reduce passing opportunities but of course it had to happen otherwise there would have been no meeting at all! There was still some decent racing especially in the first 6 heats before it got even slicker. "Shocking racing week in week out"? Even most of the most critical people have acknowledged it's got a lot better as the season went on, so change the record

    Pl Play-offs

Well don't care now whether he used Scunny, Worky or Edinburgh to take the pee out of us, as the joke was on him as the defeat at our place cost him place in the Final :-)

    Pl Play-offs

Yes, the draw was done during PLRC and he made a joke about picking Leicester with a dig about us being the obvious pick after he'd said Scunthorpe was his pick then changed his mind and said obviously Leicester really , whilst laughing ....

    Pl Play-offs

and by their promoter taking the pee on the centre green at PLRC when he picked Leicester saying it was an easy pick only to lose at our place too in the playoffs LOL

    Leicester Lions 2013

Well if Redcar get same 20 point defeat result in League away at Rye House as they got there in Cup on Saturday then it's looking quite good for Lions if Lasse (who likes Newcastle) and 1 other have decent days next Sunday, so avoiding a really heavy defeat, seeing as its decided on race point difference if we finish level on match points.

    Leicester Lions 2013

So you don't think Eklof and Nielsen should score the same or more than RR for Nemo and Sarjeant?? Par for RR for Nemo and JS has been 9 or 10 pts. So should be a fair chance LE and SN will beat or at least match that number between them. Does anyone know definitively how it's decided who in playoffs if us and Redcar finish level on points ? Is it race points? Or head to head results?

    Leicester Lions 2013

...on small tracks like Edinburgh maybe yes, on mid size or big tracks like Leicester based on evidence in PL this season I'll take Sarjeant as nothing to lose

    Leicester Lions 2013

Lewis Blackbird is no better a rider away from his Scunthorpe home track now than he was on away tracks when he was a Leicester Rider, and Simon Lambert has gone downhill since he left Leicester, so that's a fallacy. Anyway it's all academic now as regards Rob Branford as he has been replaced by James Sarjeant for what's left of 2013 so says Lions Website

    Leicester Lions 2013

No idea , but I'd think they are trying really good point, you hear of loads of other teams riders practising at the track thats available 7 days a week, but hardly ever Leicester riders, not even straight after the meeting when curfew allows. So no excuses

    Leicester Lions 2013

There is NOT any competition this year for 7-12th in PL, it's playoffs or bust
  12. Dave Hoggart said on microphone tonight BSF is mainly lies but at least he's lucky not to have Robert72 as a Sheffield 'fan'. PMSL :-)
  13. He said on Twitter that will miss 4's with Fractured Scaphoid but should be back for next meeting after today
  14. Yeah they were 'wrong' because they happened at Leicester which some people clearly hate seeing :-)
  15. Didn't you hear Glyn say before the meeting in his interview on centre that track prepared Slicker on inside, grip on outside as that's how the riders wanted it? And it that's grip that produced some great passing by both teams riders and the big Leicester win and no "disaster" and no "serious crashes" in the Leicester v Scunthorpe match.
  16. Don't let facts get in the way will you! If you say there were only 2 passes then you either didn't watch the meeting or are ignoring the plain to see evidence! 2 other examples are Bjerre off bend 4 to take Auty in Heat 5 Niemenen off bend 4 to take Jorgensen in Heat 15 If last Saturdays meeting with Sheffield was 'dreadful' then seeing as it was the joint 2nd best in terms of passing of the 4 meetings I've been to so far this season (same as Scunthorpe and better than Coventry) then perhaps it's about time that we just accepted the FACT that the vast majority of races at EVERY speedway track in the world are won by the rider who gates first (because if the best and fastest rider gates then he will win 99% of the time) and just savour the races where passes occur rather than picking fault even with the ones where passes do occur. :-)
  17. More passes than when Leicester visited Scunthorpe on Good Friday though 25.75/32 x 100 = 80.46% Content...................6.25/32 x 100 = 19.54% plus , I think Thursday's radio appearance could have gone a 'little better'
  18. Sorry to get to the almost always ignored subject on here of the Teams performance.......but well done Lions, looking well set for the season......with the competition created by Roynon's potential return only benefiting us as 5 Riders compete for the Top 4 spots
  19. Thats what certain posters would have you believe even in last nights meeting, as they must have conveniently shut their eyes when the racing got to all the passes on Bends 3 and 4 in Heats 4, 5, 12 and 15 for example. Bends 1 and 2 could still produce more, but I fail to see how anyone cannot acknowledge the much improved racing in the 2 home meetings this season on Bends 3 and 4...............oh I forgot, that would not fit with the 'agenda' some people have. I've been to 4 meetings so far this season 2 Leicester, 1 Scunthorpe and 1 Coventry and factually there were more passes last night than in any of the other 3 meetings I've been to, with last Saturdays meeting at Leicester and the Scunthorpe meeting being about the same and Coventry having the least. Can you name me another 32 page programme in any sport that only has 19.54% Ads to 80.46% Editorial content? I would be interested to hear that example, because I know there are many that have a much greater Ad content. As regards racing.....you quite clearly were NOT there last night, or had your back turned to the racing.
  20. Leicester v Scunthorpe Programme last night had 25 and 3/4 Pages of editorial articles (80.46%) and only 6 and 1/4 pages of Adverts actually ! Sorry to interrupt the conversation with Facts
  21. the 'wrong type of overtaking' ?I've heard it all now! Admit it, whatever they do you'll still moan!
  22. Typical usual tactic, if you can't argue the points made logically you belittle it. Pathetic !
  23. because if you'd gone to the public practice sessions you'd know that the mobile toilets weren't taken away until end January !
  24. I know in most of your Eutopian lives of self denial everything is perfect ..... But if you hadn't noticed in the real world things aren't perfect . As far as the track is concerned if you didn't notice (oh some of you probably didn't even go ) it was freezing therefore be thankful there weren't multiple injured riders like has happened nearly everywhere else. Based on the horrendous start to the year with freezing temperatures and bad injuries, Glyn did a great job with the track in the weather conditions. Judge the track when it's decent speedway weather, but then again whatever's done at Leicester Speedway most of you will just criticise it on here. Anything that didn't work right in the toilets the first time they were used I would think will be fixed, why wouldn't it be? , but then again you'll still complain that there are no gold taps and nobody supplied to wipe your backside for you!
  25. Close match at least a bonus point for Leicester
