Apology where its due in that case but
My point is why have him back full stop
He is awful at it & rob was 1st class.
I suppose nobody pleases everyone as some say Rob shouts too much. Lol
Lets see what they come up with then judge 2013 when the season starts in terms of how the track changes work, how the presentation works and how the team works . Lol
-
yet another incorrect post, what I hear is they'll BOTH be involved again, but hey when has the truth ever got in the way of posts on this page?😜Just to add to the debate about our promotion and how little they listen to their fans.
I was told that they are bringing Chris Popple back as presenter & getting rid of Rob.
This is the bloke that made us the laughing stock of the league with such poor & boring presentation . On top of telling the paying fans on the mic who voiced there opinion on the dreadful 2011 season "up yours "
The amount of praise they got when they moved Rob onto the centre green along with how much the presentation improved to now bring back the person everyone disliked & complained about is an absolute joke..
Then again maybe Hemsley & Jones enjoy upsetting their fans & reading our complaints
Bad move IMO

You Lions have got a cracking team this year, expecting you and the Rebels to contest the final.
Nice to see a Speedway post about the season ahead at long last on here :-)
-
We've got the old posters on here again I see, just teeing themselves up to continue to have a go even when the track changes that they have wanted so much have been done :-)
And , surely (as intimated by Volty) its impossible to widen the entrance into the corners from the inside whilst NOT effectively shortening the straights. PMSL

Early February

Early FebruaryAny ideas on when a fixture list will be released ?
-
people do know what's going to happen as the date was confirmed weeks and weeks ago by the management.Wasnt the track being changed last winter but didnt happen?
Why leave it till a few weeks before the season,is this the way to get fans to buy early season tickets or for future sponsors to invest not knowing if it will happen, again this is why speedway is in a mess, bad management decisions.
You'll be gutted when it happens but no doubt you'll then just move on and think of something else to criticise them about....
-
is this constant wet weather hindering the alterations to the track?
No.
There has been a Training session at BP inc PL riders all day today with no problems .
The Management have said the alterations are to start in early February and only take a relatively short time to complete
-
having seen him race in a meeting at Leicester in 2012 he needs to make one heck of an improvement to live up to the hype.so is Max a cameron heeps type rider?
If so its good to see decent talent coming over from Australia.

why not just butt out for 3 months then you can see the results for yourself!Do you believe 100% you will get the track shape right and encourage the hundreds of fans who walked away to return again

except for last season in PL as we won every home league match 😜Except maybe our usual away win at Leicester
-
'We' ?? Don't you mean 'You' ?And that's all we want!
For another £1.50 many people (not everyone obviously) want a good read not just a race card

Just on BSPA site that decision to be made re Friday's meeting tomorrow (Thursday) afternoon

if a Team has already got the best Top 4 in the League on paper and 2 of them improve I'd say you are in the shake up for every competition!cant see you lot winning the league, you don't have enough improver's in your side. only lases and Adam, imo.
So I'd say Leicester are in the shake up for every competition, injuries permitting 😜
-
I just love it on BSF when people get amazingly defensive make sweeping statements with no knowledge about the other contributor😜When they happen i will remind you with qualification, your just picking at a post you no nothing about, you just assume you do, changes will be made by most teams next year in all the leagues, and when they are, making the right one's at the right time is the sign of a good team manager, it was a coment in general, and wasn't aimed at any team, and was an answer to a previous post, if you knew anything about speedway you would know that, injuries or not.
-
Touchy Touchy, it was you who said when the changes that will happen, happen , without any qualificationWhere did i say the team won't work, i haven't assumed anything in my post, your the one doing the assuming, riders get injured and changes have to be made, your trying to put words in my mouth, i'm happy with the riders we have now, but you can't have followed speedway very long if you think teams won't be forced to make changes, Scunthorpe were forced to make changes last year, and they won it, and not because they wanted to, because David Howe got injured, i was saying that the sign of a good team manager is when changes have to be made, they make the right one's, not hard to understand is it, no mention that i'm not happy with the team we have, it's part on the sport, and how dangerous it is.

thats because its a Race'card' NOT a programmeWell done to Somerset keeping cost of programme down to £1.
-
we won't need to to still be in the running for the silverware :-)i will put a fantasy tenner on with anyone that the whole of Leicester lions will not add more than 4 points to their starting averages. any takers.. oh,, merry Christmas everyone..
-
rolling averages .... If Adam Roynon does what he did last year because of rolling averages his average will rise to well above 8 as the old scores drop off.i will say it again,, REDCAR ARE THE TEAM TO BEAT.. they will increase the team average by a good margin. take leicester , they DONT have o lot pf improvement in their team.. maybe lasse will stick a point on his
starting average. last season adam roynon started on approx 5.50 and was banging in double scores most ot the time . but still only ended up with 7+ R.A. .
I see Simon Nielsen putting a point on his average too.
As long as Doolan keeps his average the same I see Leicester getting many away bonus points and a few wins based alone on the top 4 being strongest in the league
-
Good post Dave, coming from someone who has followed speedway for a while, the sign of a good team manager is one that when they have to make changes, and there will be changes, makes the right ones at the right time, good one Dave.
Not very positive of you to assume your team won't work so will need changes ??? 😜
-
If every rider everybody thinks will up their average by at least a point, does it, then each match could end with a 60-60 score line in those same 15 Heats. :-) 😜

I'm sure he'll improve but I very much doubt he will average over 7 which is a hard average to get when it doesn't include bonus points, he'd have to improve big style away from home. The form he was in at the end of the season last year, Alex should be hitting 7+ this year.
We'll see:-)

Leicester to be very strong in PL 4's
Most of the teams who look like they'll be in contention building a la Somerset last year trying to have strong Top 4 that gets lots of away bonus points..... Agree Sheffield look weakest by a distance so far....Somerset have strong top 2 but look like they have a looong tail away from home (with No.4 rider being Davies)
-
they look pretty good yes, but I'd take Roynon to average more than 3 points a match more than their No.4 Alex Davies which I see as the difference in our favour, especially on away tracksI don't know Somerset look pretty tasty.

So I proved YOUR point by correcting a factually incorrect post with the truth?
So sorry, I humbly apologise for stating the factual truth!
