    Peterborough Panthers 2014

As far as I understand it all riders with a current ACU licence can gain entry, but as far as retired riders are concerned that is down to the club or promoter concerned

    Peterborough Panthers 2014

But you would keep the discount if you retired my Brother in law has still got his & he's been retires 5 years But as far as riders are concerned I believe that the production of their ACU licence allows them entry also riders participating in the meeting are allocated a certain number of passes for family and sponsors, the biggest con that I have seen happened a few years ago whereby some dishonest track staff where handing their passes to their friends to gain entry, thankfully most of this has now been ended by the introduction of photo ID cards

What about all these foreign football players, rugby players etc never hear about them having visa problems or is it only speedway riders that this rule applies to

    Rebels 2014

And in Jason Doyle's own words that he has "applied for a T5 visa (Temporary visa for sports personal) and that he needed the backing & support of the BSPA to obtain this visa it is not up to Motorcycling Australia to support this application but the BSPA as he is requesting to ride in this country TWEET FROM Jason ON 17TH January Reads "Jason Doyle ‏@Jasondoyle43 Jan 17 Well it's all down to the Bspa to allow me to use a tier 5 visa hope they can sort it. " Good luck Jason

I feel that if the BSPA will not back Jason Doyle to obtain a T5 visa then the whole management committee should resign en-block and allow people in who know how to run a business. Jason Doyle, like Sam Masters & Mason Compton last year will put bums on seats and money in the clubs coffers and it dose nothing to help British riders at all. I would love to see things from a BSPA Management Committee perspective but unfortunately I am unable to get my head that far up my arse. LET COMMON SENSE PREVALE

    Rebels 2014

May be the BSPA want all league matches concluded by the end of august which then gives 2 months for the play offs etc to take place

    Rebels 2014

If you look closely you will see that Somerset are against Peterborough on Friday 29/08/14 and in order to get all the meetings in then Plymouth will have to visit the OTA on the Wednesday, This was done by the BSPA not the Somerset management. Surely Plymouth will have first call on Kyle for the league match v Somerset as he signed for Plymouth before he was named as a fast track reserve for Poole

    Rebels 2014

Seven riders make a team not one, but still can't understand why Somerset released a rider of proven ability for a rider of unproven ability. as you stated in a previous post Somerset have gone from a very professional club to a second rate unprofessional outfit

    Plymouth To Enter Nl Team

Nathan Stoneman would be a great signing he knows the national league tracks and was progressing well until he broke his femur at Scunthorpe and I think he broke his ankle a while back and he is a free agent (not on any teams asset list) I am sure that he would grasp a team place with both hands

With only Sheffield & Peterborough left to complete their teams the following riders have not, as yet, got a team place Nick Morris 8.84 Somerset Mikkel Bech Jensen 8.41 Plymouth Mickey Dyer 7.58 Redcar Sebastian Alden 7.37 Berwick Andrew Tully 7.19 Newcastle Leigh Lanham 7.16 Ipswich Dakota North 6.55 Glasgow Robin Aspergren 6.39 Berwick Jozsef Tabaka 6.00 Edinburgh Tero Aarnio 5.86 Workington Henning Bager 5.30 Glasgow Danny Maassen 5.00 Sheffield Michael Palm Toft 4.92 Plymouth Hynek Stichauer 4.56 Plymouth Andre Compton 4.36 Sheffield Max Dilger 4.22 Redcar Kasper Lykke 4.04 Rye House Jake Anderson 3.97 Plymouth Facundo Albin 3.62 Sheffield Nicki Barrett 3.60 Berwick Mitchell Davey 3.00 Edinburgh

    Robins 2014

I feel that the issue about averages is crap, why should an average attained by a rider in Poland, Sweden, Denmark etc count in the UK, how many riders have come to the UK from any of these countries on a 5 to 7 average and would have struggled to become a heat leader in the national league. Let the other countries sort their own averages out and we can sort ours out this is The British Speedway Leagues not The European Speedway League I admit that there have been some good ones but I believe that the poor ones out number them, in my opinion all foreign riders not in the GP programme should first come in on a 4 point average and earn a CMA after 3 home meetings and 3 away meetings if they are worth their salt then they should be able to attain a meaningful average after about 2 weeks to hold down their team place

    Peterborough Panthers 2014

Agreed I forgot to deduct the 2.5% from Lewis Blackbirds average, Andrew Tulley is worth a chance at 7.19

    Peterborough Panthers 2014

On a lighter note there are only eight team places to be filled between three teams Glasgow have 10.66 points to fill 2 places Sheffield have 25.36 points to fill 5 places Peterborough have 7.65 points to fill 1 place This leaves 21 riders from the 2013 season without a team place, assuming that these teams fill there places from the riders that are left that will only leave 13 riders without a team place at the start of the 2014 season

    Leigh Lanham

I would give Leigh a team spot at any time and what he lacks in point scoring he makes up for in experience to help other younger riders and as for Morton isn't there a family tie there

    So Where Now Nick Morris

IMO when the season gets under way and riders on inflated averages get a true average and the promoters see that they are not as good as they thought there will be a lot of movement of riders and I believe that Nick will find a team place then, I live in hope & probably die in despair

Can you name any rider who did not bitch about Newport in fact I think that most of the staff bitched about Newport

    Rebels 2014

So the new proposed line up for Somerset for 2014 is: Jason Doyle 9.79 Oliver Allan 8.09 Pontus Aspgren 6.74 Brady Kurtz 5.00 Todd Kurtz 4.85 Charles Wright 4.30 Paul Starke 3.52 Total Average 42.29 Points Remaining 0.21

    Birmingham 2014

With Edward Kennett signed up that leaves 11.68 points for 2 places, could easily accommodate Josh Auty (4.90) and Ollie Allan (5.19) which would leave 1.59 points to play with

    Rebels 2014

I am still of the impression that he was signed last season on a 3 average and was never used in the Premier League for some reason and the reason I believe was some form of red tape/legal wrangle which could have ment that he did not ride in a UK team last season and secondly I can not see Gary May, Steve Bishop or Debbie Hancock making such a rookie mistake. And if I am right the I hope all you doubters will submit your apologies on here to the Somerset Management. I know that if I am wrong then I will be the first to apologise to you all.....................

    Leicester 2014 . Elite

I believe that Hougaard had a 6.19 average with the Panthers last season

    Rebels 2014

I believe that there is a condition that if he takes part in the Aussie rounds before he is signed by a British club and is awarded an assessed average (as a Brit) then he is deemed to riding as an Australian, I am more than likely to be totally off course but it is something that is lurking in the back of the grey matter, but if I am correct then the Somerset management should be congratulated for making such an astute move

    Edinburgh 2014

Sedgemans downfall came at the hands of Mr Ronnie "The Tango Man" Russell for keeping him in the Swindon team, He did not score enough points to live and maintain his equipment his confidence disintegrated and his head went down and the last thing that needed then was the stress of proving himself to a new team what he needed to do was to go back to Aussie forget all about speedway for a while then start to ride for the fun of it and build up his confidence. Hopefully he has now got his confidence back and can prove to all & sundry that he has got his racing head back on his shoulders. Good luck for the 2014 season Justin

    Rebels 2014

Could it be that Brady Kurtz was actually signed last season on a 3.00 average before he took part in any of the Aussie rounds would he then keep the average that he was signed on : confused.com : maybe Statman can confirm Emilali I do not know what team you support and to be honest I do not care but I am positive that most if not all team managers will test the rules to the limit if you wait a little while then I am sure that a full explanation will be forthcoming or the BSPA will reject the team declaration
