What is happening at Somerset 3 of the 7 2013 rebels have signed for other teams and they are the ones they should have kept

I was under the impression that rule was revoked as it was deemed unfair to European riders

    Official Teams For 2014

If I am correct in that Ricky Wells Sheffield average of 7.81 in the final issue of the green sheet averages for the 2013 season and therefore the average that teams can use to build their teams for 2014 without reduction for British riders, then that means that Workington have exceeded the points limit by 0.23 1: Josh Grajczonek 8.41, Rene Bach 7.85, Ricky Wells 7.81, Kyle Howarth 6.86, Mason Compton 4.69, Ashley Morris 4.11, Chris Mills 3.00 = total of 42.73 (42.50 points allowed)

    Official Teams For 2014

The final green sheet average for Jason Garrity is 5.45 not 5.32
  8. If you watch the Sky footage you will see that it did not explode when the bike hit it but lifted and you can clearly see the retaining straps on the bottom of the air fence proving that it had not been correctly secured, if it had been correctly fitted then Chris Holder would not have received such horrific injuries

    Rye House 2014

According to the final green sheet list Jason Garrity has a green average of 5.45 not 5.32 as quoted which gives a total of 41.87 leaving 0.63 points remaining
  10. To make the ruling of 2 National League riders for the Elite League reserve places is ludicrous I can understand the reasoning behind it by giving British riders a chance to improve but the practicalities are out of this world. Most of these riders find it difficult to hold down a Premier League reserve spot let alone an Elite League spot, all that is going to happen is that they are going to lose so many races that their bank balance and their confidence is going take a beating, their heads will drop and there is the possibility that we could lose them to the sport which will result in less British riders available

    Berwick 2014?

Not sure about averages but what about something like: Allen 8.09 Bellego 6.36 Smith 7.15 Doolan 7.51 Vissing 6.89 Carr 6.09 J. Anderson 3.97 Total 41.96
  12. I know that this first topic will not interest Elite league fans but I feel that the BSPA are showing double standards over the past few weeks. This week we have seen Michael Lee have his promoters suspended because he was found in possession of a small amount of cannabis for personal use, agreed that Michael has a history of drug use and whilst I do not agree with the use of social drugs what people do in their private lives is up to them provided that they do not put any one else in danger or involve minors in the use then where’s the harm. Yet a few weeks ago while watching footage on Sky Sports we could clearly see that a section of air fence was not secured correctly and in the ensuing incident as an out of control speedway bike went past the air fence that section lifted which allowed the dismounted rider to disappear under the air fence and collide with the Armco behind the air fence causing the rider to sustain some horrific injuries which has cut short his season and ended his world title defence and his earning potential, and the people responsible for this walk free. All riders know that speedway is a very dangerous sport and accept the dangers involved but that does not excuse tracks from being liable for injuries sustained by riders because safety checks had not been made to ensure that all safety equipment fitted was working correctly. I know that I will be shouted down for this post but there is a man that we all know and are proud of that is unable to earn a decent living to provide for his family...
  13. Posted on Twitter this evening by Pontus Aspgren that he is pleased to announce that he has signed for Rye House
  14. I feel that you made this post while still wearing your blinkers. Let’s face it at the end of the day it’s the riders that put life & limb on the line for our entertainment, speedway is dangerous enough at the best of times. If, at your place of work, you were asked to perform a duty where you stood a good chance of being injured you would create merry hell and refuse to do it, so why ask these lads to do it remember that they too have families who worry about them and we have had enough bad injuries and fatalities over the last few years. If anybody should be taken to task then it’s the management and/or the track curator but they were acting on information received about weather conditions – catch 22 situation
  15. I believe that Tom needs to sort his mind out, maybe he should follow James Wright and have a spell away from speedway, refocus and then try again

    Plymouth 2013

Good luck tonight at Somerset would ge great to see you get your first away win of nthe 2013 season Stay safe
  17. The smell has mostly dissapeareard because a lot of the riders do not use Castrol "R" these days as it very expensive they now use Newtons which I find burns your eyes or some other product
  18. You never stop moaning, if you don’t like it at the speedway then go to the pub then you can moan about the price of your drinks and how much tax the government take out of you for your drink. What you never seem to get through that geriatric skull of yours is that it costs a lot of money to stage a speedway meeting before a wheel gets onto the track and a lot of these costs can never be recouped and what about the costs to the management for rained off meetings, I think that is in the region of £1000 per rain off. So OT it’s time to make your mind up Speedway where you can have a laugh and meet friends or the pub where again you can meet some friends and it could cost you your license or worse still your liver The choice is yours
  19. Read the post mate "With the asset system on it's ass, what's the point?"
  20. Has everybody left somerset speedway as there have not been any posts since Jan 26th. Was the cracker that good that it has left everybody speechless or was it that bad that nobody wants to mention it

    Plymouth 2013

I believe that Exeter Speedway (Manor Delta) own a 25% share in Plymouth Speedway would'nt let us race at westpoint because of the noise, but they are considering allowing pop concerts on the site, one rule for Speedway and a better ruls for everybody else
  22. What a pratt brain in park mouth in reverse

    Sheffield 2013

Looking at the green sheet averages Sheffield could sign both Dakota North and Taylor Poole for a combined total of 12.48 well below the 14.88 points left to build a team
