Maybe a post or poll or something similar could be started/posted for fans who are interested in the idea who may not be able to attend the speedway meeting( Covid, work commitments) or indeed not make it upstairs. Maybe people just commenting that they’re interested?

Do you not think a press release was sufficient saying he’d had enough and was not willing to run next year? He also thanked the fans.

44 minutes ago, Steve Shovlar said:When Poole were at Newcastle he was in a scoring position and fell. Then in the second meeting against Plymouth he led a heat for 3 laps before overcooking it on the first bend, falling and hurting his wrist. Very, very unlucky as I am sure he would have won that heat if he had stayed on. Good for Newcastle in persevering with the lad. One for the future.
He was actually leading the reserve race against Poole and was in a scoring position against Plymouth when falling and hurting his LEG

Just now, M.D said:Maybe because he's not in a clubs official declared 1-7..
Yeah that’s what I’ve just said to my mate. Apparently announced Plymouth home meeting with Eastbourne early September now postponed

Just wondering why after announcing he was riding why he’s now not.

Why no Tom Brennan?

THJDoesn’t matter how many times it’s said. Most people will believe what they want.

Not sure but there was a bigger problem in that there was no Southern Comfort and I just love a Southern Comfort. Also I didn’t win on the raffle which was also a problem

5 minutes from track overcast but dry. Rob already at track and was there late last night pumping water off. No more rain forecast.

Has it been announced who’s guesting for Matty tomorrow?

Anyone thinking/wanting to come Sunday onwards don’t forget YOU CAN NOW PAY AT THE TURNSTILES. Get along and support your team forget who owns/runs it. Just go and watch speedway at your local track

19 minutes ago, leander said:Yet the 2nd and 3rd biggest crowd pullers (after Redcar) this season are probably Poole ( with Steve Worrall and Danny King) and Plymouth ( with Bjarne Pedersen and [hopefully] Jason Crump) are here as a double header on the same day. Where you are never going to get close to getting the revenue you would from two individual fixtures. Yes you probably save on rent, but all the other costs are the same as two separate meetings. It's not as if we were short of Sundays. Madness!!
What you have to remember is the first hundred through the door every meeting don’t count as the season ticket money was seized. So if there are 500 through the turnstiles then there’s only 400 paying customers. Maybe he’s thinking if he keeps the cost down( which he has) he’ll attract fans from other teams( Glasgow,Edinburgh Berwick Redcar etc) as well entice old fans back. A lot of people are telling him what he should be doing when basically it’s him who’s losing money every week. Maybe this is his last through of the dice. The press release before was very ominous

6 minutes ago, Catch Me If You Can said:Dont think that reason he was outed Think it was for allegedly knocking Roynon off a joke decision at the best of times. I was on terraces and it looked as if a trainee referee was in charge.
All 3 back was the right decision IMO but there you go! That 5-0 turned the meeting on its head
Well ok if that’s what your saying but I was sitting within earshot and I heard him tell the announcer it was for moving again despite a warning (which he did do as I was speaking to his mechanic afterwards in the bar). Not too sure it turned the meeting as Berwick immediately got back within one point. Summers trailing in last in his last two rides cost Berwick.

44 minutes ago, TotallyHonestJohn said:Well that was a quite evenly matched event however it might have been a different story if Berwick had there usual team out as Kye done okay but Theo was a bit of a let down...
Why does Jim Mac feel he needs to have an impact on a meeting... Piper lay on the track too long and could have cleared and to be fair should have been censured for it... however it should have been all 3 back in the same heat as Thomson didn't do much wrong in heat 10 when Adam went down on the rerun as far as I coukd see... even if it had ended a 5- 1 Berwick still would not have got a point however a 5 - 1 wasn't guarenteed but the 5 - 0 was a bit of a joke to be fair...
All in all very enjoyable from a home perspective and Wells was a good guest for the Diamonds and we got the right result in the end...
Double header next week and it will be another hard shift for the Diamonds but if Max and Connor put the same graft in and James does the business at 2 maybe and possibly Adam steps up to the plate at reserve it could be interesting...
Oh and will the real Ben Barker please stand up... please stand up... please stand up...
Regards
THJ
Was told he was excluded for moving at the start despite a warning, and not for bringing Adam down. Theo also fined £100

Once again he’s damned if he does and damned if he doesn’t. If it had happened at other teams it would have been “How refreshing shows how much he cares” At Newcastle not a chance.

Didn’t look much wrong to me but someone came into the bar afterwards and said they said the track was S***e

No complaints best team won. Much sharper out the starts. Diamonds riders apparently not happy with the track.

13 minutes ago, Marshall07 said:And after his average is in effect he is still a 1*, so even Newcastle could use him if Archie found himself unfortunately injured
But he’s not in Leicester team as a rising star

Think you will find once James has done his 4th home meeting he’ll get his new average 7 days later
-
1 minute ago, Marshall07 said:Forget averages. Anyone on the rising star list can replace a rising star above or equal to their category.
Well that clearly isn’t fair when they’re averaging over 6
