Lions 12. If I put plenty of dirt on it will not make more lines. Riders enter the turns at 60+mph and if there was more grip they cant turn. It needs to be slick going in to the turns. Nemo crashed last night when he went into the dirt as he couldnt turn the bike. I prepare the track for the riders safety and yes I have put more dirt on the outside but if they go out to it they get passed as the fastest line is one they use now. Its not a case of the riders v the spectators. Its about making the best and safest track with what we have to work with.

For those who have made comments on the track grading . We grade only 4 times every 4 heats and only 4 or 5 laps. Fact.......

The best team won on the night. As Sheffeild is one of the best racing tracks in the UK I saw only 5 passes all night. All by Leicester riders. A good meeting but not a great result for us.

Ok everyone wants overtaking , more dirt on the track and don't give a dame about what the riders want. Yes we have to work with what we have. But to put the riders views and their well being at risk is irresposable. Its them who are at risk not the fans who demand this and that. You go down the straight at 65mph slide the bike in sideways only for the dirt to flick you up and drive you into the fence. While they are in hospital awaiting surgery for a broken arm or leg. I will never ignore the fans and try to make the safest track I can, with what I have to work with. But what the riders want will always come first.

You say it was very slick ! That 50 ton of dirt I put on must have been fairy dust. Simon Stead came up to me and said he had done 7 meetings so far this season and the track last night was the best he had ridden on so far. Safe, Good grip and consistant . Starts were a awesome.

On pulling the dirt back after the meeting, I found the inside of turns 1,2 and 3 were all used. So not really true to say no one used it.

I have a new yx140 engine thats got a 57mm TB nickersil cylinder 146cc with a gas flowed head and Z40cam, 6 plate clutch. Kick start shaft removed for speedway. This engine will make around 19bhp. Its new never started. £350 07711159044

Yesterday we took 6600 gallons of water out of the drains they were filling as quick as I could empty them.

The track has been made wider going into turn 3 buy about 1.5 meters and the same coming out. This will let me run more dirt on the out side. It has shortened the straights by about 20 meters. I wont make any comments so please dont ask.

There are yellow,white and red Top box for magnetic triggers. The Yellow top for points wont fire on anything but points. I think your box needs a new battery.

Bit harsh liontamer. lol We are opening up the entry into the turns by moving the curb in. This makes the entry wider giving the riders another racing line. It will also let me run more dirt on the outside. At the apex of the turn it will be wider by about 2 meters.

Yes work starts after next Sundays training day. I get back from Australia on the 18th. So hope the weather is kind to us. Dont get me wrong we start its just easy to move dirt than mud. Glyn

I have said this before. I believe 100% that every rider at Leicester will improve their average. Thats from Number 1 to number 8. We will have to wait and see. But to say not enough improvers in my opinion is a bit ......... Happy New Year.
