I'm assuming it's Carmarthen as that is the name of the image.
Or is it a double-bluff and I've just fallen for it ? -
1 hour ago, PolskiZuzel said:Krzysztof Cegielski, former Poole Pirates rider draws attention on social media to one detail.
Point 12, paragraph 3 of the regulations on competition in the Speedway Grand Prix lists offenses and the amounts of penalties.According to him, it is worth paying attention to the last sentence preceding the list of penalties. It reads as follows: "The international jury may sanction any persons breaking the rules as follows. The word "may", becomes crucial. So could the competition jury both punish Zmarzlik and "reduce" the penalty,. So far, no one has commented on whether such a severe punishment was necessary.
There is no doubt, says Krzysztof Cegielski. – “The jury didn't have to do anything, it just could. They did it with a smile on their faces - comments the former rider on social media, pointing out the key word in the case, in his opinion, "may". If in fact Zmarzlik did not have to suffer such a high penalty ,then undoubtedly not all "important" people are clearly favorable to Polish speedway and, as it turns out, they do not remember the most important thing. For many years, Speedway Grand Prix has been generating the greatest profits from Polish speedway.
The jury didn't have to do anything !
That's the best he can come up with.
What a good neighbour Krzysztof must be ... "I saw your house being burgled but I didn't phone the police or do anything 'because I didn't have to'"
With him in your corner everything is fine with the world.

I think he expected to win it last night and it would be beneficial to him and his sponsors to be wearing his Orlen suit when he did so.
After practice he hid behind the excuse that he only had that race suit with him so would have to wear it in the meeting. That was all part of the plan.
He took a calculated risk that, with the race suit designs being really quite similar, the Speedway authorities would not have the bottle to enforce the regulations.
He miscalculated.

It's hard to disagree that it is borderline shambolic to only spot it at 17.30 though surely? 5 hours after he took to the track in practice.
We will end up finding out why the decision was made at the time it was.

Just now, CB252 said:I think the bigger issue that most people have is that, in typical speedway fashion, it took them 5 hours to realise he'd worn the wrong suit. He could have been at home resting now ahead of the real stuff tomorrow where you actually earn money to ride.
No that wasn't the bigger issue for me.
If you are doing a survey. -

Yes it was clear ... Kelvin just fluffed it.

Imagine the liquid damages associated with breaching a contract of a sport being streamed live on Eurosport.
I repeat: naive to blame the GP organisers.
Pitch your venom towards those that disagree. With you and the decision.
I don't.

Just now, eric i said:it says......'may sanction'.
It is THE only penalty if it is judged one is due by the Jury but not 'maximum punishment' as you said.
They can decide not to impose it.- 1

Just now, eric i said:These are maximum punishments. this is not proportional unless zmarzlik was explicitly told not to wear the suit.
It is a set penalty.

Look at the guy furiously doing the brushing under the eye of Morris.
It looks like castration is the penalty for poor broom-ettiquette.

Just heard Erik Gundersen being interviewed at the track and getting the bums-rush from the presenter as soon as he mentioned Bartosz.
The disqualification is one thing but the Newspeak of the team avoiding the Elephant in the room is disgusting.
Not what you would get on BSN!

The Rule Book.

1 minute ago, Grachan said:It would probably be better if it said "up to disqualification", like the other rules do. But the rule is there and this is the first time this has ever happened so they must know about it.
I have a feeling that Bartosz may have pushed these sort of things before.
Remember Phil Morris threatening him with a 500E fine for not behaving correctly at the Semi gate choices just a few weeks ago. -

They never will.
The wildcards are there for this very reason.
Your future will one day depend on never having stepped out of line with the organisers -

Trying to find anything out about this event is like it was trying to find out about speedway in the 80's at least we had Ceefax back then

Castleford it is.
Interesting that your choice was between the biggest and just about the smallest of tracks.
