  1. Decent meeting today despite a well underwatered track. The choice of 2 & 4 cost eastie in heat 15, after they almost got out of jail.

Maybe mildy finally realised JK needed a watered track to make the gate...miss the gate he gets no where

  2. You can pass on the island if you are prepared to take the high wide line. The home riders pulled off some great overtakes last night using that method. It's not for the faint hearted though!

Baseby showing some Jens Rasmussen moves (@rye house) even when he wasn't under pressure to.

My 2yr old loved the drum man (stu), a big thank you to him for giving the kids some much needed distraction at times

Supporters speedway at its best. Also a massive shout out to the family on holiday from Sheffield, they had a blast and I believe will become regular speedway supporters.

All round good speedway from the riders, a different IOW when their not under pressure to score, start to enjoy their riding and become entertaining

  3. So far I've read the rules as being a rider not being already named as a 1-7 in another team line up, and with a 3.00 average, so it means only unattached and/or new riders. With all the talk of having a squad, having an eligible no.8 would be the simple extension of this new suggestion, plus make the rules a little bit more flexible upon whom can be a no.8. E.g.(a rider with a higher average, maybe a 4.00.)

It would make it more competitive to have a decent no.8 in case of team injuries throughout a meeting, which unfortunately does happen. In addition, they'd more than likely get used in a meeting to take eligible r/r rides....just a thought.

  4. This was a good meeting, well worth the trip across, it was disappointing to see that the general speedway public didn't turn out in decent numbers to support British youngsters. When I read all the moaning on here about lack of support for British talent it begs the question why? When Promoters are prepared to put Championships on why don't people turn up to see them, it was only a tenner to get in.

Yeah it def would have been worth the trip regardless of the result. For me it was about travelling on a week day. I would really have liked to support my fen tiger riders in person.

Will have to wait for the NLRC which is on a Sat :)

  5. As a heathen fan that was there I will put my view as unbias as possible yes some dudley fans had to much and were swearing yes we are loud the booing of garrity is in fun and he has said himself its funny and he plays to it I wish him well in his recovery . Any dragging off that was mentioned in other posts was done by other heathens fans who were trying to police there own in behaviour and language but this was made hard by mildy fans goading some quite heated events and saying things like non of us heathens work that's how so many of us travel away WRONG the whole lot of bad feeling was not only acohol fuelled but the whole joke of start time and the fact no event had been staged night before as stated . There is little mention on here of face irving was took a swing at as he got up from bad crash by a fen rider the abuse our lads got in pits the fact that our banners were thrown on dog track and when two of our most respectable fans one of wich had been instrumental in keeping our own fans under control went to retreve them the abuse they got was beyond anything that had gone on on second bend . I think you will find that there was fault on both sides !!!!!

I dont recall an incident on 2nd bend with the banners. I remember people untying them at end of meeting.

Yes fault on both sides fuelled by??? Sorry still unsure as I was on Sunday.

  6. Superb by all the lads tonight.Really thought this would be a close meeting,so am suprised at the result.

Thought Josh Bates was brilliant tonight.Just looks more impressive every time I see him.Stef again looked super quick.Unlucky when he came off.Would have been interesting to see him chase the others for a change ;)

Morley was a really decent choice of guest.Very smooth and quick.Needs to get away from Rye imo to further his career.

Joe showed a lot more tonight which was pleasing to see.

Danny was as solid as ever.

Ryan was on the pace I thought and was unlucky not to score. It will come though.

Lewis Kerr's ride from 3rd to 1st last bend was highly impressive.Where he got that drive from I will never know.

Thought Cockle was poor compared to what I have seen him be like before around the NA.Looked like he was having bike problems.

Knight seems to have the pace but never looks like passing.Which is a shame, but I'm sure it will come.

Good to catch up with the normal lot.

Thanks to HT for the lending of a programme board (even though it was a Leicester one ;) )

Josh Bates was man of the season after seeing him make that boootiful cut back off turn 2 for the pass down the back straight in Ht 14. Worth the gate money alone to watch this!!! Better than anything I've seen in the GP from last night so far. (Did I watch two heats?)

Mildy boys did excellent to bounce back from a defeat, a royal public dressing down, loads of press about club politics and being a couple of regular heat leaders down.

Good on yer boys...for keeping their heads held high despite a few outside pressures. Enjoy :D...I know I enjoyed watching you race as a team and bring home all four points.

    Cheers x
