Drinks At Cardiff
A ORLOV replied to cyberscran's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Put the drink in a flask and tell them its tea, thats what I have done. Had no problem with taking in food. Do not know what rules they try to apply, may be I was just lucky and did not get some little Hitler checking things. -
Cardiff Gp Track Staff........
A ORLOV replied to WIFFER2's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
The Swindon people just test the start gear and are on standby in case the start tapes give trouble. It may still be the case that the start equipment is that used at Swindon, as I am sure it was taken to Cardiff for the GP one year. -
Cardiff Gp Track Staff........
A ORLOV replied to WIFFER2's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Spoke to a couple of people tonight and found the following information. As Berti said Swindon provide the start gate staff, they also man the gates to the track and they man the pits entrance onto the track. It is believed that ex Newport staff provide the red flag holders on the centre green. The track graders for the meeting come with Ole from Denmark. -
Cardiff Gp Track Staff........
A ORLOV replied to WIFFER2's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Other jobs are done by Swindon, I know the person who grades the track at Swindon goes down for a few days, but not sure if he drives the grader during the meeting. Not sure about centre green flags etc. Newport used to supply the red flag staff. Will ask tonight who does what. -

Brilliant performance tonight. I am sure it will not be the only win this year. What a reception he will get and deserve at Cardiff. -

"Watch Speedway on Sky" site was updated yesterday, they removed the Sunday KL Swindon and added the Berwick meeting, but this system was down so could not post earlier. -

Sky's Additions To It's Speedway Coverage.
A ORLOV replied to Stephen7's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Do not know if I have missed an announcement but the meeting that was on the Sky schedule ( Watch Live Speedway ) for Tues May 21st at Berwick has now disappeared and the next meeting shown is the wrong one at Kings Lynn listed for Sunday May 26th which is not happening. I am glad that they are showing Speedway but how difficult is it to have the correct schedule listed. -
Thursdays getting boring with all the rubbish on the tele v w, just keeping interested by following updates and listening to the meetings on the radio.

World U21 Final Round Terenzano Saturday September 14th
A ORLOV replied to racers and royals's topic in International World of Speedway
The first post on this thread mentioned top 5 from each semi, hence my post on Kyle's score, but if only 4 he may not make it. -

How many rides each do they get and what time is it over there? -

A ORLOV replied to racers and royals's topic in International World of Speedway
Yes, thanks. Kyle just doing fine after 4 rides. -
This afternoon Kacper was in the World Under 21 semi at Rawicz, and although he was the meeting reserve he won all the races he was in. He got 9 from 3 rides where as the winner, P Dudek got 11 from 4, had Kacper had 4 rides he could have been first in this meeting. The meeting was abandoned but he finished 4th so will continue in the competition. It is good that he has qualified but how many meetings may he miss for Swindon.

Even test matches returning would help, for the younger riders, Under 21, Under 25. -
Rosco stated in the Adver that riders could already have commitments elsewhere, or that date may not be acceptable to Belle Vue.

Chris Harris Cardiff Wild Card
A ORLOV replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
If C Harris does not earn the right in the British Final all the Brits attending Cardiff need to take Woofy banners. I am sure the majority of Brits can show their feelings during the meeting. -
Not on Swindon's curry island, but have spent time in different parts of the world, when you often find out that many British versions of foreign food taste nothing like the original. I agree that some curries have been invented, as you say, in the uk, and in certain restaurants are excellent. One of the best curries I have had in the uk was in Wolverhampton. Even something like pizza in Britain is rarely like those you get in Italy. Anyway back to Eurosport. Like others on here I am glad that it is being shown, especially with the young riders that are in it this year, who are not afraid to mix it with the established riders.
