You could put some money on Harris he might win this time round.

Are the bookies offering odds on the riders?.

You liked them then Jacques. It just proves that S.Cowell has no taste as he thought they were great.
  4. Also Tai top scored for GB in the World Cup race off, if he can handle the pressure of being in the GPs put him in, there is no point of continuing with riders who have had their chance and not done that well. As with the World Cup they should give the youngsters the experience and that includes the likes of Tai. The one proviso is that would the probable lack of success initially knock his confidence.
  5. Yes they could have shown one or two of his great races on the screen.

    Flawless

Nobody yet has said what Flawless is(never heard of them) and were they any good, or are they like the rest of the X factor winners, ie rubbish.

You are lucky Stevebrum, he may have wanted to sit next to you on an away trip, like he requested with a Poole Supporter on Matts chartered plane trip to an away meeting.

That would be good and if it was followed by Gemini and her dog rounding up a group of inebriated Poles (like one man and his dog) then that would also be worth watching, and if Stevebrum is in the stadium the dog could seek him out.
  9. When we last had a world champion, I cannot remember any acknowledgement of this on any tv sports programme, and very little in the press. If it happens, no matter how small the sport is get it mentioned everywhere. Certain radio stations are now putting out speedway and doing a very good job, the authorities need to do all they can to publicise any success we have. I wonder how many sports reps of the national press, radio and tv have been given tickets to Cardiff. If not Cardiff try the EL riders Championship at Swindon.
  10. It has been announced on the news this evening that the Planned strike of staff who work at the toll booths on the Severn Bridges has been suspended therefore the bridges will be open on Friday and Saturday. I would still check before you leave.
  11. If they are all delivered by courier thats fine and a more reliable service.
  12. The way the post service is working at the moment if not received a week before the event I would contact them and collect them at the Stadium.
  13. Very good meeting to celebrate Simons service to speedway. Chris (Mario) Holder's bike packed up before the start and he shared a bike with Darcy for the meeting. Excellent close racing from the top riders which got better as the track improved, the passing was breathtaking as riders used different lines around the track. Jason mixed it with the top riders and put in a very good performance. Matej was welcomed back by the crowd and in heat 19 showed what he could do, despite finishing 2nd to Chris Holder. In heat 7 Darcy came out on Simons bike and posted the fastest time of the night while having time to look right when passing the pits and making faces, then on the next lap waving. Following this Simons performance improved, he was riding very fast and not locking up. Hans was on fire and very smooth around the track and deserved to win the meeting. A big thank you to all the riders who produced excellent racing, and the meeting guy on the mike, can we have him back as he was a riot, especially when he took the p..s out of Rosco for the shirt he was wearing.
  14. Weather still dry and bright at 1pm.
  15. Weather fine and dry at 11am and has been the same all morning. Most of the riders there tonight ride well at the Abbey which should lead to some very good racing. Looking forward to seeing the Zagarmeister.
  16. By the reports on here I am glad I watched the Olympics instead of this meeting. I tend now to pick and choose the GP meetings I watch live since watching a few this year a couple have been boring.
  17. Because they window shop on the way, the same as they do while driving
  18. Any publicity like that is good, it may bring in a few rugby supporters to see what this sport is about.
  19. Outside with a coke and packet of crisps.
  20. Very good post orion, I am looking forward to this meeting and Simon deserves it. The line up is already good and there are more riders to be announced.
  21. I think you are correct trees, it is a pity that a couple more could not have been arranged, but due to rain offs and riding schedules a one off is understandable. Have always enjoyed meetings between nations, official or not.
  22. The view is fine from the top of the stands. What you will find is that once the meeting starts you will be able to move within the section and quite often nearer the track if you wish. You can do this in most areas but possibly not near the start/finish line, One year we were sat on the bend in front of a large group of Polish supporters who had not only been drinking all day, but also during the whole meeting. They were quite friendly but not all the beer was reaching their mouths. We along with a few others moved to the back of the stand.
