  1. Looking to be a meeting not to miss Iffoid, will be there especially with Matej Zagar riding, and all the rest.
  2. Chris holder and Darcy Ward are riding, a good meeting to attend and for a worthy rider
  3. The local councils determine the capacity along with, I assume, advice from the elf and safety brigade. Swindons current limit is about 5000 where as in the past crowds have been 2 to 3 times that for test matches. I would imagine the limit is controlled by a number of factors from the number of emergency exits the stadium has and the time it takes for everybody to get out to the number of toilets it has.
  4. His mum does the cleaning there.
  5. How many spectators can Coventry hold, and what are the facilities like.?
  6. I fully agree xmas. I know of one very good youngster who when possible is going to Denmark to get the racing experience. I am sure that he, along with others, would benefit from an 80cc league in the UK. I can remember seeing the sons of riders going round a small track but not allowed to race with each other. Other countries have progressive engine size leagues and this is where the majority of the good riders are coming from.
  7. Thats the name of the pension fund that the accountants set up for the great rider Ove Fundin. As for Denmark winning the World Cup congratulations to them. They included very good young riders who showed what they could do and NP showed up the stupidity of the rules. The joker should either be got rid of or only allowed when 8 or 10 behind. There should be a reserve, or two, who can only take a limited number of rides,
  8. Well done Matt, pity it is not part of a series but with the GPs and the number of rain offs I can understand why it is a one off. The test matches in the past were brilliant and are sadly missed.
  9. Well done Britain, did better than I thought they would and without the mechanical problems we may have won. The meeting was as good as the one on Sat and a credit to the sport. I now have no idea who will win on thursday but with a performance like that of tonight we stand a chance. I just wish we still had the Internationals, as GB v Aus or USA used to be as good. Looking forward to thursday and sat.
  10. GB needs points tonight, Danny continually scores a lot more than Ben, both at home and away.
  11. Have seen that but not seen confirmation of replacement.
  12. Has it been confirmed anywhere that Troy is replacing Darcy tonight, as there is nothing on SWC or Troys twitter
  13. Alan I can see that, but my point was more about the lineups, start time, cost of tickets etc. In events it has details of the British Final but nothing about the Semi's.
  14. So we have no mention on the BSPA website of the meeting being cancelled and the Rye website that is called up from the Pemier League section is also wrong. That is very good public relations especially for the people who do not visit the forum as I cannot find any mention of this meeting on the BSPA site.
  15. Report on bspa website today Scott wants to ride on Monday and get through to the final.
  16. This whole episode appears to be a complete shambles. Why try to run this meeting when the riders clubs are racing, surely there would be a date when all eligible riders are not riding elsewhere. We now have the situation where Simon Stead rode at Swindon instead of this Semi final, now the meeting has been cancelled will he be able to ride when the meeting is rerun. I accept that Simon chose to ride at Swindon but that should not exclude him from any rerun.
  17. The Swindon website just says he is riding at Swindon on thursday against Lakeside, there is no mention of his switching to Rye but hopefully he is.
  18. Following last nights meeting it showed that Niel made the correct choice in selecting Tai over Ben Barker. Unfortunately I still cannot see us getting beyond Thursday.
  19. Thanks Jacqueline, excellent pictures.
  20. deadwood, correction jedwood, no I was right the first time. At least you start off with a good laugh.

A vital member of this forum, who are you trying to kid, you only joined on June 4th. Oh I forgot, if you include all your other names, you have been on here for a long time, but a vital member, I would question that.
  23. And another youngster Nick Morris who wanted to ride for Britain, after being told no, now rides as an Australian.
  24. It should be easy to sort out SCB as the numbers who will want to attend this meeting will be enormous, the last thing you want is to travel from say Somerset, or Glasgow and then not get in because H&S have put a limit on the numbers allowed. Each club will have a crowd limit, as designated by the Council. All Lakeside needs to do is have ticket sales only available up to a certain date before the meeting. If people do not purchase a ticket they take a chance on the day. The number of tickets sold could be put on the Lakeside Website so people not purchasing tickets can decide on the day.
  25. Probably be a good idea to try to run a coach from Swindon for this. Also the ability to purchase entry tickets before the meeting.
