Id like to see an all British reserve rule implemented -perhaps with a fastrack type No 7 in place as part of that. Aim should be for min 4 Brits in each 1-7 IMO.

do let us know what Matt decides and then we can all work with the right info. wink

Jorgensen is a rider I personally quite like and is someone I have thought we might be interested in before. I agree with you in that I dont expect much of a different set up. One or two changes only IMO. Any more would be a bit of a surprise. A lot will depend on the non assets. If Worrall and Ellis want to be back I would be surprised and disappointed if we did not want them back. If they choose to be elsewhere then perhaps there is no real decision to make as to who goes.

Similar average to Morten but even more inconsistent. A bit more exciting whilst doing it though perhaps.

more likely Jack Holder. I understand they will name him on a 1 point average to give them more room for negotiation this year! wink

    Derek Sneddon

With the fast track system looking to produce the next British World Champion (allegedly!) it shouldnt be fogotten that the likes of Derek Sneddon are equally important. The backbone of the 2nd tier capable of mixing it with the top end at that level at times and the first benchnark for newcomers to measure themselves against if they have ambitions to 'make it' in the sport. Enjoy your retirenent Derek.
  8. Well done Edinburgh. Deserving Champions. Tighter finish than I expected though.

    Ipswich 2015

When asked what he wanted from the promoters conference he answered - "for them to change the PL as little as possible"

you seem to have a thing for taking a Witches asset for next year. Tell you what take your pick - Morten Risager Leigh Lanham Kevin Doolan what the hell I reckon we could get Savalas out of retirement if you ask really nicely!
  11. If it ends level on aggregate is it a replay, golden heats or a straight run off?

if he feels he needs a change then a bigger pacy curcuit would be better IMO. With U21 generally on larger continental tracks that could help him more than a place like Edinburgh. Perhaps thats one of the reasons Cook hasnt broken the foreign scene. Maybe he wouldve been better staying at Worky!

    Average Re-calculations

Whether there is grading or average reassessment some will be very happy some will be upset and there will be plenty of opportunity to cry foul. Self interest will most likely be at the forefront of any discussions both for the process and the analysis of it.
  14. I find it a bit strange when people moan abiut track grading. With the natural breaks a lap or two by the tractor doesnt hold things up at all if the trackman is on the ball. Yet many moan about slick tracks and poor entertainment but then also about the very thing that could improve that situation.
  15. As an aside to the main thread topic I have somtimes wondered why when we have the facility we never have used the second set of tapes for 15m offences in official meetings. I appreciate that as they stand the second set are a bit further back tham 15m but cant imagine it would take too much effort to move them. At least them when there is a tapes offence it would add a degree of professionalism to the situation.

you can have the first part but not the second. I hope that Adam is back for the Witches next year. I think next year could be the breakthrough year for him.

At the risk of turning into DIAMONDS from the Newcastle thread how about - King Tungate Wells Manzares Heeps Ellis Sargeant Not sure if it would quite fit but of course the finals figures will be marginally different from Octobers so could go either way!
  18. I think the Monarchs will take the lead on aggregate by heat 5. I expect them to nullify any tacs unlike the Rebels and pull away for a comfortable win with 2-3 heats to spare.

Pl Playoff Final Somerset Vs Edinburgh 24th October!

2man Monarchs have clawed back just enough thanks to the tacticals to be favourites IMO. Rebels shouldve been closer to 60.

wouldnt have to be Wells or Ruml - could be both and a 3 pointer.

Hope its a great entertaining nights racing with a score that keeps it interesting. Good luck to both sides.

    Poole 2015

complete and utter tosh! Worrall had only 3 years total racing experience in the NL and had never averaged above 4 in his very short PL career. He was exactly the type of rider the fast track was designed for - young, inexperienced but with good talent potential and ambition.

    Newcastle 2015

sounds good to me - the Witches could strengthen by about 5 points.

    Ipswich 2015

He certainly couldve done little more if he was aiming to impress.
  25. Agree - Risager,Tungate .......FTG. aside from Danny making up a couple of places early on after getting away last and then Doolan going backwards on a sick bike very little going on!
