    I spoke with him at the tail end of last year - he didnt tell me why no riding abroad.He only told me why he didnt take gate 4 which even on the widest track couldnt be classed as abroad.

    Newcastle Vs Edinburgh {1.6.14 At 6.30}

    I originally thought the same but asked the question and Neil kindly posted up the reg which mentioned going to the third or more decimal places.Even then you dont choose when identical where the riders have established averages (in this case Sneddon would stay in place as the previously highest ranked of the two) So it seems there is a definitive position but until someone releases the figures used for the calculations ( total points and rides for each) we dont know what it really is.

    Newcastle Vs Edinburgh {1.6.14 At 6.30}

    Neil Watson has posted the relevant regulation on the rolling averages thread in the general section. If there is even 0.000001 difference then the order is taken from that. Unfortunately no one has been forthcoming with the totals for the calculations.

    Indeed - two very beautiful parts of the world.

    in my first after match post I did just that crediting Sneddon for the points haul he gained that our botton end didnt. Cookgate only appeared later and although I have contributed to that part of the thread I agree it is of little consequence in comparison to the teams weaknesses.

    Rolling Averages

    agree re stopping the fiddles.In the PL this year though depending on fixture timing 6 of the 24 fixtures included could be against just 1 club out of the 13.

    Rolling Averages

    so unless both records are identical there is a definitive order and no choice. Thanks. Edit - Anyone have the 2 sets of figures to be able to post?

    Re the interview - very commendable. Although I do seem to recall something along the lines of 'I made so many mistakes in that race I shouldve done what I did on the last lap earlier and I wouldve got past' As for an agenda - lol.

    Rolling Averages

    Edinburghs June set show both Worrall and Sneddon on 5.35. It would good if someone was able to post the totals used for the calculation so it is in the open as to which has the higher average when taken to further decimal places.

    which you could say is to Cooks credit as at least he is rider worth talking about.Not your run of the mill bland and characterless type. From that point of view its good - the sport needs 'villans' for the opposition to boo.

    Its a shame the BSPA listings no longer show the figures.In the past it would have meetings rides points average. Then we wouldnt be in the dark with these matters.

    Witches V Monarchs Pl 29th May 7-30pm

    no whining here -would say the same whoever wherever.Im sure there have been a few Witches - have not said otherwise or that it would be right either.Handshakes not mentioned either - just acknowledgement.

    Who will be at reserve for Edinburgh - Worrall or Sneddon? Latest averages show them both on 5.35 but the listings for all teams remain in last months order even where a reserve has gone into the top 5 (eg Jensen/Kus Berwick) so not clear where each will be. Could be the difference in who wins.

    I enjoy a single malt but not as many as you evidently. You say it yourself 'Sam was ridden out' not knocked off or even blocked off. Re Gino bailing out its not surprising when clouted by someone attempting a far too narrow entry divebomb move. As for the result Id say its one where both sides will think they shouldve won so the draw probably the fairest .

    Witches V Monarchs Pl 29th May 7-30pm

    Richie was so far off the pace he wouldve needed the fifth lap at race speed to catch them - Cook was right on their tails for the 4 laps. You dont need to give the winner a hug and send them flowers just a quick acknowledgement will do - even one given grudgingly through gritted teeth.

    Did they get directions from KKS?

    Rye House V Ipswich Sat 31st May

    There should be a separate flashing light similar to the 2 minute warning for any heat involving Garrity. 'WARNING WARNING - Garrity incoming off gateX' Think it will be a tight one with the team that runs the least last places coming out on top. Head - Rye 48 Witches 42 Heart - Rye 42 Witches 48.

    Witches V Monarchs Pl 29th May 7-30pm

    When each of your top 4 get paid 10 or better you expect to win especially at home so a draw is very disappointing. There wont be many meetings when Cook.is beaten in 3 of his 5 heats Sneddon was a rolling roadblock at times but credit to him he did that job and pick up the vital points Cam and the reserves didnt for the Witches. Steve Worrall was the real hero for the Monarchs - looked super quick and super smooth. Richie came good at the end. I hope it gives him the confidence to kick on and be that No1 that we need and he wants to be.

    Witches V Monarchs Pl 29th May 7-30pm

    A little misleading if you go by the latest rolling averages. For example Cam about 6.4 when this years real figure is under 5 whilst Steve Worrall 4.2 when this year actually above 8. Im sure we will see every Monarchs fan on this thread make a similar doom and gloom prediction whilst privately expecting another straightforward victory.

    Witches V Monarchs Pl 29th May 7-30pm

    The rain in the last 24 hours has been incredible but the weather shows a gradual improvement all the way to an expected dry Thursday pm and evening so no reason to expect anything other than a top notch race strip. Need all 7 to bring their 'A'game for this one. Im going for a 47-43 Witches win.

    Malcolm Simmons Rip

    Having been born in 1971 I was probably too young to realise how good he really was as I grew up. It was only as I got older and learned more about the sports history that I was able to appreciate his true position in British speedway folklore. RIP Simmo.

    Ipswich 2014

    6th place and a 4 week purple patch is all it takes. Not as easy as it is to just say it but perfectly possible
