I’d rather pinch some of Baldy’s pins than watch that dross. Could never understand people finding a sport like this entertaining. Most of the players standing around with their arms folded while the bowler takes what seems like an hour to bowl the bloody ball before the batsman gently blocks it, play stops, the ball makes it way back to the bowler (eventually) who then takes another hour to bowl it again. Rinse and repeat ad nauseam. Great “theatre” that. Do they still stop for “tea” as well? They need it to be fair with all that exerted energy..

Cricket is obviously a popular sport so I’m clearly missing something, I just don’t know what it is!

Not knocking you or anyone else who loves it, each to their own of course. A good friend of mine loves watching Golf and will be glued from start to finish when the tournaments are on. I can understand enjoying playing it, but as a spectator sport? Never understood that either. Just not enough fast paced action for me.

Lucky we do that kind of  negitive analysis on Speedway ..scary

    Best Pairs

Klindt under 16 @13/10?  That requires Klindt to pretty much finish second in all his 6 races, I just dont see that happening against this field, especially when team riding is the aim of the games, he could follow Jorgensen home in 3rd place more times that he actually wins a heat.

Jorgensen -1 over Riss, Just don't see Riss scoring hardly anything tonight, sure just using this meeting to get more laps under his belt after being out for so long

Leicester and Belle Vue over 32, just dont see either of these teams picking up any last places, so that guarantees them 30 points if that happens, add in a few races wins as well and that puts them over the 32 point barrier

Peterboro under 22 on league form alone the panthers are getting no where near this score, although being Worralls ex track and both him and Cook hitting double fingers at Leicester earlier this year , they could be spoilers in this meeting. I feel though they are up against much stiffer opposition tonight than back in April and Richie Worralls form has certainly gone downhill since his early season highlight at Leicester, so reasonably convinced they wont hit 20 points

    Wow..

    If.........If.........If.........  ?????

Yeah right ........................... IF KL had scored more they would have won............. but only IF the moon was made of green cheese!

Kerr was absolute rubbish for KL because he had become too comfortable (complacent) with his "guaranteed" team spot year in year out .............. dropping him acually woke him up!

Everyone is rubbish for Kl that's the point being made . Quite clearly you don't understand  that speedway riders get paid per point. So I doubt Kerr was comfortable when he's earning little money..Are give you another if.If brains were taxable don't expect a rebate..

Absolute rubbish .............. the "old" team lost at home to Sheffield by very nearly the same margin only 5 weeks ago!  (KK 9pts .... same as Artem & S Lambert (guest) 4pts ... same as Thomson)!

Problem with KL is Jorgensen, MPT and Jakobsen who are all massively underperforming.

if a fit Pickering or one of the other top 5 would have been reserve rather than lambert then the score would have been closer . From now on your just  have  weak reserves .  Riders under massively underperforming at Kl tends to be  a recurring theme i wonder why . Look at Kerr . Ask yourself why  that is  happening ?

Don't think the signing makes the team poorer,Laguta is a class rider and Kye certainly done his bit,it was the remaining ones that let everyone down by putting in an even poorer display than they normally do.

I do ..the old team was a lot stronger and could at least win at home..this side is going to get smashed home and away ..Weak reserves now as well .

I’m not one to criticise the boys but tonight was not acceptable from the riders tonight. As for the absolute ridiculous slaying of the management for signing the best rider British speedway has in a long time. Keyboard warrior idiots! Cluelessness is a big reason no big names want to come over.

What  is the point of signing a great rider if it makes the team poorer overall. The bottom line is this mangerment have zero idea on how to put a decent side together.  No idea what has to do with keyboard warriors..The only clueless idiot is you.if can't see that .

Unfortunate for Holder, never ideal to award a final but in cases like this it would be the right thing to do. No consolation for him now but I'm sure he'll win a GP soon enough. Thought Doyle was unlucky, can kind of see that the referee might have thought he made the most of it but there's no doubt if it had been the other way around then that would have been seen as enough contact to exclude.

Hopefully Lindgren can continue his form and make the title race interesting.

I think it was a 50 -50 call..the main point that you quite rightly point out is how unlucky Holder is.. Common sense tells us that the rule should be that the race should have been awarded in this case.

Zmarslik seems to have become an untouchable force in the gps. Everyone is s@#&t scared to race him, the amount of room he was given to pass on the back straight was laughable. Imo he was never getting excluded in the final, Doyle could have stayed on but what would that have achieved….

Not sure about..that..in the re run Holder stuff him up and gave him zero room at all

I was never a big fan of the GP,s but the series was something new and i embraced it, but it became played out for me a few seasons ago, apart from being mainly a closed shop its becoming a one horse race, Zmarslik was always going to win last season and barring injury and mechanical issues cannot see any serious challenger for his title, hes a great talent and a nice bloke not his fault hes way above the rest but the series is becoming boring.

Yea it's shocking that the best rider wins every year..  Not sure what this closed shop is.. You have a route to make it to the GPS if your good enough..The old system. One off world finals was a complete Joke and rely on luck most of the time..

I just can't see it. If they were on for a nice little earner from it then it would be all over the website and club socials. No mention of it anywhere. But who knows in Speedway. The fans have been shafted by TR and GI so totally understandable people ask questions like that.

Not sure that Terry Russell and co would be  boasting  about making money from this  . This is going to a big crowd with a large number from Swindon so  its quite clear someone from the  Swindon side is going to be paid for helping  in doing that . From what i hear you can't use the Swindon name without Tr's  say , so its common sense that he is yet again filling his pockets with cash

Yeah shame we only have 3 former Robins but we won't get many chances to see any sort of Robins team in action so I'm looking forward to it. Always remember some very spicy local derbies at Oxford when I was a kid!

I dont agree .. its pretty clear that people can see they can make plenty of money by using the Swindon name .. One night only they said then we have a match v Poole . I would say your going to get  plenty of chances to line Terry Russell and co's pockets .
