They should have to pick from Lawson, Sedgmen, Kerr, Laguta, Tarasenko, Basso, Iversen or Palm-Toft.

    What do the rules say ?

    King comes in for Emil, 4th highest avg becomes 3rd heat leader and Hume comes in as a 2nd string or no.6

     

     

     

     

    Why would Danny King sit on the  sidelines not earning in the top league for year. I don't know  were to start pulling your idea apart..but it's insane if think your going to find  7 Danny King types who are just going to wait to earn money  for a call up in case a rider gets injured.. its just  the normal when someone moans about the current rules  they come up with ideas that can't work in practice.

    Ipswich - Potentially should've been only RR available. I even posted on the semi thread that RR was my preferred option. Harris guesting though, whilst undesirable, was 100% within the regs as they stand

     

    So wolves will appeal then if Lambert is illegal then ? Will the final be delayed while this happens ?

    Not at all..Any one with anyone with any common sense would understand that the Play Offs make the crowds bigger during the season.As it keeps the season alive longer for more sides . thes season would have been over by June otherwise and the staduims would have  been  empty this has to be explain every year to people for some reason  Non speedway fans.? Loads of sports used the same format to decide the champions so pretty easy to understand.What you  don't understand is that football is awash with money and have so much prize money and things to play for like champions league etc.So they  have the luxury of not having to decide the champions by play offs etc

    All guests in any match could classed as doing that This is a new match and just like any match  in the history of speedway you can pick  a guest that fits into your side.No idea why this should be  any different . Wrong is changing the rules after they have been made.

    Regardless of if the averages allow it or not Sheffield should keep in Lawson along Lambert for continuity reasons. If Harris rides it completely devalues & makes the sports highlight of the season a farce. 
     

    I think this will be closer than the cup final but I think Ipswich will have enough over 2 legs to complete the job. The key riders are Riss for Ipswich & Holder for Sheffield. 
     

    People go so ott about Harris being  a guest.  . Just  dont see any problem with it at all. Just the normal suspects acting like drama queen's over nothing as normal.

Every year is the same old farce dragging it out against the elements with riders and track prep looking amateurish at best and then calling it off at heat 10. Everyone goes home wet, cold, fed up. Riders race hard all year for the finale to be a non event with rubbish weather. Never learn. 

    You can never judge the weather in the UK August was shocking this year You can  have plenty of good weather in Sept and Oct .  ..its still September now so last night is just unlucky

    Been over this a 1000 times..everyone knows the rules before hand. So it means zero how many points anyone finishes anymore  its hardly a new thing and everyone understands how it works .

    Sheffield top two riders have been injured  otherwise they would stuck with them. What do expect them to do  not try to replace them with the best options. .

Sadly not many on here will hold out any hope that the situation will improve in the future.

    Any club will try to win under the rule book   in any sport..Not sure what rules tells you have to stick with the ream all season and if you do  you do so it counts as .doing it on merit. Why are  the TV company not interested in UK speedway what is that based on ? Surely if  had no interest you would not show it in the first place.

    With you on that .. but its most odd naming and shaming you are likely to see . someone made more fans come to the meeting . They looked like they have blamed everyone bar themselfs of course

    Credibility with a lucky loser lol .Integrity. forcing a unfit rider to ride.lol ..try again . You try  to big up that the second leg was going to close without guests  and you fell flat on your face as  the final turn into a complete joke. .

    Become the crap rules don't allow  guests or rr for a rider who is not  the number one ..Sadly you got idiots that think the crowd figures in world speedway are based  on better team rules . The bottom line is  all world leagues have stupid rules ,Poland is  no better or worse in that respect .

    Gaming int had exchanged contracts with Taylor wimpey earlier in 2022 but unless they commenced rebuild then no houses could be built.I believe it was osbournes intension not to build the stadium but the council and the mp were making it difficult for him at last.

    The announcement of the loss of speedway came in September with the spoof venture of swindon motorsports being announced.

    The conditions for the new speedway stadium not only included acoustic barrier but monitoring equipment would have to be located adjacent to various properties at certain times and results fed back to council also the car parking situation during and after rebuild would be almost non existent and with a former park and ride location nearby now home to amazon vehicles  would not be of any use now.

    With new housing that has been built since 2019 in close proximity both sides of lady lane the residents would no doubt be up in arms if 300 + cars were being parked randomly in there streets.

    I believe therefore that Terry Russell and Co were encouraged to give up their tenure with little prospect of the stadium being completed in another two years(demolition of old stands etc) and all the potential restrictions as above allowing Osborne to conclude that speedway walked away.

    To give the spoof company credibility therefore required him (Russell)to use his influence to get his licence put on ice.

    To conclude I don’t think there is any chance of speedway returning to the Abbey in the near future imo

    Well summed up 100 % correct on all that .  .. encouraged highlighted i like that .. I hear thou that the powers that  be have got wise to Russell and wont be allowing him to put his licence ion ice for much longer

    Kowalski could be the key next week as his 1 point tonight would have been four or five less than he and Wroclaw would have expected, and he has the beating of plenty of "top riders" around there..

    Sets up a great Sunday next week...

    Wroclaw packed to the rafters will make some noise and the atmosphere will be electric if theyy start to claw back poiints early on...

    Who said they should use guests in Poland? :D
