The most bent sport for me is Boxing, the amount of times you see robberies on the cards is ridiculous and predictible, speedway just makes up the rules as it goes along due to incompetents running the sport.

I think it's clear to see in Boxing..in football I expect its more widespread. But harder to spot.. Going back to my point Speedway is no better or worst then any other sport I expect.

    That was easy.

I'd still encourage anyone to have a bet on Ipswich in the play-offs even though their odds will be cut now.

Charles Wright was BV's most effective rider around Foxhall statistically.

Wolves rely on Super Heats to win Home meetings and that's no good when it comes to Play-off Speedway.

Sheffield aren't any good with their recent changes because the No.6 is weak and Holder is mentally beaten before a meeting even gets started on a track that presents a challenge, Woffinden won't be anywhere near fit even if he does ride.

    9 -2 now..so someone has ..

British Speedway's guest system doesn't seem too bad now.

The Polish Ekstraliga final will be an absolute farce.

Why can Wroclaw not book guests for Woffinden and Janowski, it would make for a much better and fairer final.

Not sure who will replace Charles Wright in the team, what's Grigory Laguta up to? I think he is a free agent.

People laugh at RR and Guests...but this a joke of a final .

I've gone with the value @ 6's on Ipswich, I just think if Rew can hit some form then Ipswich should go on to lift the title because Emil and Doyle will always keep them in meetings, Rew can replace Hume and Riss too which is an advantage.

BV with a full 1-7 would've been clear favourites but I wouldn't be touching them with a 6 man team @ 10/11 because you need all team members firing plus you need a bit of luck as well to remain injury free otherwise they'll be down to 5 riders so I've got to look for value, Wolves are struggling to win a meeting inside 15 Hts at Home so they're a no go for me as I think they'll lose the away league to any side and I think Sheffield's tail end of the team is on par with Ipswich's now yet they're a much shorter price @ 11/4

Who can take the RR rides for Wright

Anyone else tempted to have a score on Ipswich to win the premiership @ 6/1

BV are without Wright as it stands, Sheffield are without Woffinden as it stands and Wolves have fallen off a cliff at Home with Masters struggling to score anywhere close to what you would expect from a No.1

I see that Sheff have got Fricke into replace Woffy tonight..So with Leics out the play offs a good option for them in the play offs..Ippo not the worst value now that Belle Vue are with out Wright

To make £12 what sort of stakes are you laying for that? You must of had a large amount on the exact score vs the under points total - so much so, that if the unders came in you’d of been throwing a large amount on the exact score away.

I bet quite large in General..I had 100 on Holder under 10 and £25 on exact ten..I pick up 137.25 .so 12 .25 profit...The  exact bet is just a saver bet..of Course its double iloss f the rider go's over the score

We're talking about different things here. You're talking about the legacy audience attending meetings. I am talking about an audience watching on TV.

Maybe you are right, maybe I'm wrong. Maybe we're both wrong... but I am pretty sure there needs to be a new 'product' and if it's not individual racing, what is it? You say nothing to do with league speedway, so what? At least I'm trying!

Current league speedway has little credibility. There are not enough riders, it is contrived and a result is often a foregone conclusion. There's no trophy ceremony, big cheque or rider driving off in a new car he just won. There's no 147 or nine-dart moment. There are no heroes, just a bunch of journeymen. A national audience doesn't care about Poole, or King's Lynn, or Peterborough or any other provincial town team. Genuinely, they might be your team but the world don't care.

Speedway can take many formats: amateur racing where competitors pay, carnie racing, like WWE, bangers and pantomine, with goodies and baddies playing to an audience looking for a fun night out, pairs, team racing and serious individual meetings which are (in my opinion) the purest form of motorsports.

But the stubborn insistence that team racing is the only way will be the death of the sport in the UK. It's not a pro sport and can't sustain itself on gate revenue.

What team sport has a trophy etc after every  match etc.. Does Football the popular sport in  world ? Of course not its not how team sport works.. Poland is  packed with fans watching league racing with big tv rateings . I could find about 20 examples..Speedway in the uk is in trouble because its been poorly ran and terrible choices it's taken over a number of years. .

I don't really agree with that. Yes Jack and Doris watch Coronation Street but there is a huge audience of people who watch live sport on TV, people like myself who avidly watch Speedway Grand Prix but can't/won't go out to watch on the terraces. Middle aged blokes mainly.

TV is the showcase for the sport. It brings value to sponsors, it opens up new audiences and should have a trickle down effect if done properly. My statement that league racing is boring is indeed opinion, however the dwindling spectator numbers and closing venues are facts, as are the lack of interest outside of the sport.

Speedway needs to change a lot, starting at the bottom, but redefining the TV product is one of the quickest things it can do to delay the rot while other things are addressed. With even less venues next year there will be even less credibility to the sport. A made for TV series feels like the right thing for me. No one is saying stop the leagues, I am just suggesting what they have is not suitable outside of the anorak audience and never will be. Even diehards reckon it's crap and contrived...

As I said before you going on about crowds going down ..But then your answer is to bring something back that crowds never wanted to watch.  These anoraks thought your idea was crap years ago.. Tons of reasons why speedway gone sour but its has little to do with League  speedway ..

Maybe I am not making myself clear. What I'm talking about is a product for TV, for a TV audiences, not Jack and Doris who've been standing on the fourth bend for the past 60 years.

What product is that then ..Tv audiences tend to be Jack and Doris.. Saying things like league racing is boring is your opinion not fact .

Spectators don't turn up in enough numbers to make league racing viable. Continuing that route is only going in one direction.

Anyway, you misunderstand me. I am not saying to replace league racing, I am saying to develop a TV focussed product to go alongside it. Diehards are not really bothered about TV because they go, like in the old days, but the business model for any modern sport places more emphasis on the at home audience than those at the venue.

So league speedway still exists, and clubs may choose to stream, but I am suggesting once a year clubs participate in a TV series which is individual based, because:

    - it is more relevant to a TV audience, they can understand the individual personalities, (almost) all races count and they need to tune in to the end to know the result

    - it gives a more credible and valuable platform for sponsors, hopefully making for a viable event which is worthwhile for competitors, with meaningful prizes

    - it engages with new fans who don't get league speedway, but its more accessible than Grands Prix

    - it gives promoters a big night to promote with appeal to fans of all crowds, and an event to showcase their product

    - it gives back some mainstream appeal

    - it should not have a negative effect on crowds for league racing

Speedway has a lot to do to become relevant but as sports like darts, cricket and pool have shown, you have to adapt to win a new audience. I'd argue TV is having a negative effect on league racing in the UK, or at least not doing anything positive, so doing something different with that huge opportunity seems like something worth exploring.

Why do think clubs don't run individual meetings  ? Because fans don't turn up to make them viable. . That ship sailed years ago. Doing something that clearly does  not work is not postive its stupid .

cant help you out there, go on then ill try the class of riders should explain it. also the stupid polish league producing the best younger riders in the world.

Not sure what your  trying to explain .I said the rules make the league uncompetitive. Not sure Poland having the best Young riders has to do with that point Thou I would say the best young riders in the last few years have been the Brits and Bewley and Lambert . . Can't remember any young Poles making into the GP outright of late

    Excellent meeting again from Poland...

And, a great ride from Tai to protect Kowalski...

    Polish Speedway...

As we often say, if only we could run the UK version with the same level of competition and credibility...

Lucky Losers not much credibility in that...As for competition we knew who was going to be in the final before the season started.. should have just got on with the final and saved time.

I think you will find that the current meeting on the stream is an example of some of the best and Emil is showing student Laguta how to ride. If you take a view of u k speedway it is on it knees in terms of entertainment, crowd support and atmosphere and only in the u k play offs can you scratch the surface by comparison. Watch a few more meetings and you may find that the U.K. is the pits by comparison with contrived commentary, poor filming and disappointment in terms of entertainment.

I would say the racing in the UK is miles better than Poland. . The Polish league itself is also pretty stupid with teams so much stronger  than others.. Everyone knows what the final is before the start  of the season ..Most of the matches are like Man City playing Barnet at football.

I thought it was very generous. It soon dropped to evens. They were offering me profit to cash out before the meeting had started.

Sorry m8..do you mean you got Evens and it went to 4-7
