Poole team much weaker this season and reliant on both the Cook's stepping up as they have let a top heatleader go The Cook's doing both leagues will see their form suffer possibly. Poole will be there or thereabouts as they will make changes but they cant be considered favourites with that side this season

What an absolute farce this season has been …. A joke of a final where one team gets a home leg and the other doesn’t!!! Coupled with the fact that’s Pooles best rider is also the top rider at the neutral venue!! I hope against all the odds Leicester can pull this off

World class riders back in the day but probably never really considered the worlds top ten on a consistent basis Go back to the early 80's.....Jessup, Simmons, Lee, Carter, Morton, Peter Collins...all world class riders who by 1984/85 were either past their best or lost to the sport The 1986 British Final top 3 was Evitts, Phil Collins, Doncaster,........good top level riders but none of them (apart from Doncaster) went on to do much more on the world stage....1986 was for me a changing of the guard From 1987 - 1990 you then had genuine World Class performers breaking through.......Tatum, Wigg Cross, Doncaster, Smith, Thorp....winning the World Team Cup although obviously in tragic circumstances 1991-2001 - a decade where another new wave of English talent come through...arguably better then the 87-90 guys........Havelock, Louis, Loram, Screen, Dugard I would then say from 2001 until 2013 we havent had what i would class as riders capable of making the step up to World Champion Any rider that can be in the world top 16 for a number of years is World Class to me....Nicholls and Harris were ....but i could never see them as making the next step up to a world title contender or even a regular rostrum contender.....Lee Richardson was to me a level below Harris and Nicholls at their best. From 2001-2013 we had riders like Robson, Howe, Kennett, Barker and Stead being on rostrums in British Finals and as good as these riders were and great servants to our sport none of those could be considered world class or likley to have made a break through at international level We were lucky with Tai and now we have 3 riders in the top 8 in the world we should embrace it...enjoy it and back these boys........whats important is the progression of the next level of riders and to what level we can get those guys to Will Brennan and Flint be the next Nicholls or Harris or will they make the step up to be the next Havelock , Loram or Woffinden

You can get a good guest and Poole often do well when the underdog

I think this is the easiest thread to answer ive ever seen on the forum lol 1. All the cheating they have done over the years....... far more then any other team 2. The fans.....every club on this forum has its fair share of strange forum posters........just that Poole have the worst by a long way.....some of them are decent ...Skidder, chrisforgillian, poole keith.................unfortunately let down by the troll Shovlar and his merry band of sycophants...........its great to see that even fans of the other championship teams now get to see what us top flight sides had to put up time and time again 3. Jealousy.....................not one speedway fan is jealous of Poole yet if you dare to criticise the club their fans cant debate and just scream jealousy.........so far away from the truth 4. I can see the Panthers being fired up for this one and will be close Hope Starkey finds some form....nice guy always gives 110% can never fault his effort and give me 7 triers every day of the week , but at the moment he isnt in form so lets hope he can turn it around

Leicester are racing Poole in the cup not Glasgow Glasgow and Leicester are the 2 strongest championship sides as proved over the season. Hopefully the final will be between these two

Same as all clubs …. Just seems Poole fans just don’t accept any criticism at all

Track was awful and not good to hold a prestige meeting on a track where you can’t race … 2 passes all night wow!! I can never understand why Poole fans are so blinkered … as an Ipswich fan we all know Foxhall doesn’t often produce great racing and we admit that … Poole fans just defend the track On to the meeting and Masters and Douglas showing they are the best two riders in the league especially as Masters has basically won it completely unfit a great effort and let’s hope Douglas is ok as Wolves fans won’t want to see that … Lets hope that next year it gets moved to a track that can actually provide entertainment to reflect the nature of the event

You do have it laugh at the sheer dumb founding attitude of certain speedway fans on this forum with regards to the Adam Ellis wildcard situation. This years final has not been completed and there needs to be a wildcard chosen…….it was decided that highest placed non GP rider would get it…. The meeting was abandoned with NO RESULT….. thus meaning NOBODY was highest placed. I am a huge Tom Brennan fan (especially after his Ipswich guest performance) but to say he should get it over Harris or Nicholls or King or Kerr or Steve Worrall would be a complete farce as all of those guys ( maybe a couple of others) have every right to say they could have made the final … what if Harris or Brennan had an Ef or a fall and finished on 8??……. So they gave it to Adam Ellis who missed out last year so easily the best option. All that’s got to happen from now on is that the British Final is always AFTER Cardiff….. thus the 2022 winner is Cardiff wildcard in 2023 and the 2023 winner is the Cardiff wildcard in 2024……. The only issue is if the 2023 British Final is before the 2023 Cardiff GP then who would get the wildcard Seems to me that people are to bothered by who they love to hate ….. those who can’t stand Bomber want Brennan… those that don’t like Ellis want Bomber or Brennan!!! Fans letting personal choices cloud the reality The only issue last night was keeping the fans at the track in the dark … showing the ineptitude of the people running the meeting

We should win this by about 10 with no Scott or MPT who was ridden dirty last night by Lawson Though being Ipswich I’m sure we will let them get a point!

So Shovlar thinks that for a rider to be excluded you have to make contact lol… Thanks for the video clearly shows Lawson diving in hard and leaving MPT no room to do anything Lawson isn’t a dirty rider usually but he got this all wrong. Why can’t Poole fans see things like everyone else admit Lawson should have been excluded and move on Poole simply not strong enough this season if the 3 heat leaders don’t get at least 10 each they struggle Plymouth lost Barker and lost MPT in the meeting had a reserve that didn’t score so Poole couldn’t beat a 4 man team with their usual 1-7…. MPT unbeaten until Lawson took him out of the meeting and his next 3 rides accrued 2 points so Plymouth so unlucky not to win comfortably in the end

Yes that is unlucky but Cole’s was second wasn’t he when he fell so the luck evened out surely

If I’ve read it right Coles was ahead of Ablitt and Scunthorpe on a 5-1 when he fell ….. so how is Cook packing up unlucky?

What a great result Harris scored as much as NKI has been doing and R/R scored as well as Jorgensen add in the fact that Worrall got 7 rides and R/R for Starke only got 4 then the witches were superb Written off by many but we are proving people wrong
