    Belle Vue -V- Wolves day/night

People who think speedway should just be about opening the throttle are clueless Monmore is different and requires a different skill set …. Bewley looks fast but is not riding the right lines but his natural ability gets him there There has been lots of close racing and plenty of overtaking and not just from mistakes Those who constantly slate Wolves track are just clowns who would rather we had no speedway I guess Ive seen dull meetings at all tracks it happens Then we have people slagging off the presentation…. It’s not the best but it’s better than no speedway and I think Scott is superb … Abbie is fine and I just think Kelvin is a bit lost on his own but that shows how good Pearson actually was Call yourself speedway fans and all you do is moan

    Is this on tv tonight?

Poole Vs Scunny league 24th May

Scunny keeping this close is a minor miracle with a 4 man team … The Cook brothers having an off night …. Scunny hopes in 13 and 15 and if they 6 behind after heat 13 then Douglas T/S for sure …. Worralls home form is a concern

    Leicester v Sheffield

As an Ipswich fan I’m fully aware that wherever we ride with Doyle and Emil we will be box office ….. however I don’t agree that they should switch during meetings every side has the right to be shown the same number of times ……..clearly remember how much sky showed Poole every week almost and yes they were box office with Holder and Ward but still not right However if they don’t show Belle Vue at home to Ipswich I will be mightily annoyed as that promises to be awesome lol
  5. Hume is ok but needs someone with him capable of getting 4 or 5 as well like Kemp or Rowe Teams are built differently Peterborough have the best number 6 and number 7 but the top end is awful Belle Vue have a number 6 scoring 8 or 9 and a number 7 who can’t score Wolves 6 and 7 are only getting 9 between them as well Ipswich is built top heavy but if our 2 reserves can get 9 between them we will be fine ….. at the moment Hume is getting 5 or 6 and Joe is lucky to get 1 so Hume has a lot of pressure on him
  6. Well done Wolves fully deserved and a cracking heat 13 Didnt expect us to win this but hopefully in the b fixture a couple of our guys will do a bit better Concern for Joe now he really isn’t at this level. Great kid and when we go Foxhall his family are lovely people as well but sometimes business comes first

    Ipswich 2023

I think it’s pretty common knowledge that Scott not being asked runs much deeper than his tv commitments

    Ipswich 2023

Well done again getting Barker in a good signing
  9. Great battling performance from Redcar against a full strength Poole side …. Apart from King and Wright only Edwards won a race and then only got 2 more from 5 other rides….. Get the guest right at Redcar and with Worrall and the reserves struggling Redcar against the odds can win this
  10. Danny King proving Poole made a mistake …. This is effectively a 3 man Redcar team taking it to Poole and how funny seeing Muddlo getting rattled over nothing ….
  11. Personally I think Zmarzlik was at fault However it’s funny reading old man Middlo who believes the referee cost Jack Holder?? Obviously the Poole boss doesn’t know the rules that no race can be awarded at GP level….. o don’t agree with the rule but surely Muddlo should know it Unfortunate for Holder ….. but someone had to be excluded so to see Muddlo get his knickers in a twist over the decision costing Holder is hilarious
  12. That’s what I said going well for Poole and pretty average in the top league Why are you concerned about Basso he doesn’t ride for you
  13. I’m not having a go at Ben Cook lol He has progressed pretty well especially for you guys and is doing great at that level In the top league he hasn’t done much to be fair but as I said the team he is riding for must be zapping his confidence
  14. Give it a rest the Poole thing is tiresome Once again can’t stand Poole as a club for all the past stunts they pulled Can’t stand some of your supporters on here because they are blinkered morons who actually don’t understand the sport and can’t see past their own club Never have I had anything against their riders just because I can’t stand other areas Ben Cook is a neat and tidy rider and is doing ok for his first season in the top flight though his home scores have been awful He did ok at Foxhall and was one of Peterborough’s better riders which wasn’t saying much My point that you clearly missed was he scored 6 from 6 … yes he was on the pace no question but yes I thought before the meeting he had the potential to win heat 2 and to also cause Rew a few problems but Rew was awesome I’d hope my number 6 could get 6 from 4 not 6 from 6 but no Cook wasn’t the issue for Peterborough last night At Belle Vue he beat Brennan and at Leicester he beat Lawson twice and Harris once …. I don’t think it was beyond the realms of possibility he couldn’t have beaten Rew and certainly had the potential to win heat 2 I think in 5 maybe 6 matches he has won heat 2 once … the way the team is built he needs to be winning more of those he is a championship heat leader But he is doing an ok job in a side that is pretty pathetic to be fair
  15. I said Cook rode well but yes I would hope our number 6 if he had six rides away from home would hopefully do better than an average of a point a race And yes Hume to only get 4 was very disappointing he can’t be doing that against stronger opposition For Lisa to say it’s a Poole thing is pretty pathetic
  16. Disagree…. You want your number 6 to be able to go out there and pressure the other teams second strings Cook was ok on what I believe is his first visit but 6 rides and 6 points isn’t good enough … he beat a clearly out of his depth Thompson for 3 of those and beat Hume once …. Never gave up but should do better
  17. Well I’ve never been to a meeting where the top away rider scores 6!! Rew is a talent definitely going places he passed Worrall twice tonight and Emil couldn’t Peterborough were a disgrace bar Jenkins and to a lesser extent Cook and Worrall Hans was not trying , Basso awful apart from one ride and Iversen isn’t a heat leader anymore
  18. No because Shovlar is a fool and only posts for reactions If I’m wrong I’m wrong but I think you have enough riders who go well at Foxhall and the top 5 could all get 7 or so easily …. 4 or 5 from Cook and 2 or 3 from Jenkins and I don’t think it will be the thrashing you think …. I may be wrong but we will see
  19. I think this will be closer than many think …. NKI Jacobsen, Basso, Hans and Worrall all go pretty well at our place … Cook and Jenkins maybe not but with Joe T looking out of his depth the worst they can expect is a 3-3 in heat two…. I think 48-42 to the Witches

Ipswich V Kings Lynn May 1st

I thought Klindt was pretty good and actually got stuck in thought he has always done well at Foxhall so could be a flash in the pan…. Trouble with Lynn is that they have all similar 6-7 point riders and none of them will improve … Klindt TJ Toft maybe even Jacobsen will only ever be that kind of rider … you only need 2 or 3 of them to have a 4/5 point return and it’s trouble If as quoted King wasn’t on the victory lap that’s poor from the captain

Ipswich V Kings Lynn May 1st

If our reserves can get 9 or 10 between them that’s job done but that increases pressure on Hume to get 8 at least which he isn’t always going to do so I agree we have to look at a rising star who might get 3 or 4 from 3 rides rather than young Joe only getting 1 or 2 though it does seem harsh on the lad Rew is looking good to me just can’t gate and Foxhall isn’t the best home track to try and pass on for him Rumours we have a replacement lined up for Riss for 28 days….. Batch? Cook?

Ipswich V Kings Lynn May 1st

King got 10 plus 1 from 6…. 8 from his first 3 when the Lynn riders were struggling with the track …. He had no speed and was passed with ease in 2 heats ….. so yes it was an off day for whatever reason maybe wrong set up And if he has words with Emil that’s pretty poor… King was to slow to wait for as proved by the Lynn boys both going past him Lynn got better as the meeting wore on and Klindt Jakobsen and at times Toft did ok and so did Howarth and Edwards Lynn made the wrong move with KK he is just awful clearly shutting off every corner and when Rew got alongside he did the same wasn’t the bike And yes heat one Hume could have been excluded and in heat two Howarth exclusion was harsh I felt should have been all 4 The only correct exclusion was Jakobsen but how long did the ref wait before putting the lights on!!
