I cannot believe we agree on something?!?! LOL. What you smoking down there in Dorset?!?

Ha ha ha ha ha good one.

    King's Lynn 2016

The racing was much better last night than in previous meetings, a co-incidence that the race times were a lot slower? Our results are exactly what's expected, I'm pretty sure Rob Lyon predicted in the Speedway Star season preview that we'd finish 6th - great optimism from our Manager/Promoter! To be fair, he seems to have gotten it spot on but the worrying thing for me is how management seem to be accepting that 6th (maybe 7th, maybe 8th) is OK. I think crowds will fall if the team loses at home though, no matter how entertaining the racing is. And like Haza says the fans will then get criticised for not supporting the team. Take Niels and Robert out of our the team.... well it doesn't bear thinking about. Those 2 are saving the Stars this season. We are lucky to have them.

Are you honestly saying that we moved race night for no reason? And did so in the knowledge that we would lost Kerr as a reserve? Yeah right. Moving to from a Wednesday meant that there was more chance to sign a TOP rider (someone like Niels). It's worked out well though, as it means that Niels can ride for us again albeit in different circumstances.

It was for Niels or to get in someone like him. That was the reason for moving race night. Was rumours of Dudek, Zmarzlik, Pedersen at the time but the point remains the same.

Ride Wednesday nights with Kerr but not Niels or ride Thursday nights with Niels not Kerr. That's what it boiled down to, and as good a reserve as Kerr is, you'd have been mental to not try and accommodate Niels. Would have been nice to have had both but it simply wasn't an option. We're not in that bad a shape at the moment, Lewis Rose looked very promising last week and if we can bring in Simon Lambert more often than not we'll be stronger at reserve. Like other have posted before me, my concern is Batchelor taking too long to recover from a very serious injury. We're not out of things yet....

I don't blame Kerr at all, I've said this before and I'll say it again, he has a living to make, a young family to provide for. Give the guy a break GRW! Buster ultimately made the call, race on a Thursday without Kerr, race on Wednesday with Kerr. He chose Thursday.
  8. There was about 10 people in the crowd, sure they enjoyed it though Track is such a massive advantage to home riders as they know where the bumps and holes are, but fair play the riders they have know how to make it work for them. I'd rather watch speedway where the result is dependent upon the riders rather than the track but that's just me and why I choose not to visit Lakeside anymore. Chuck some dirt down on the exit of the corners and let riders find it makes for entertaining racing for me.

Kai had never ridden at Wolves before had he? And his last 2 rides were much better so I think we should give him break although I wasn't at Lynn last week when he was awful apparently. I think we'll win on Thursday.

    Kings Lynn V Swindon - 26/05/16

Are you talking literally, as in the facilities? If so, you're missing my point as they are obviously up there with the best. I was expressing my opinion on how the club feels this season. There's no excitement, no spark, no optimism. Even in the SS preview, our own (co) promoter predicted we'd miss out the playoffs (I think Rob said we'd come 5th). Most other promoters said their own teams would win!!!! I just turn up each meeting not expecting to win, not really caring about the results as long as I see a few good races. I've known the time when losing left me feeling gutted for days! Just how I feel, other will disagree. Also, I'm not travelling to many away matches either supporting the Stars or as a neutral this season. Just feel a bit 'meh' about the sport.

    Kings Lynn V Swindon - 26/05/16

The club hasn't been in a great place for a while now it seems. And a so so team with little chance of making the playoffs isn't helping the casual supporter. Sure the hardcore fans will come week in week out no matter what. Not having Kerr at reserve is critical. I agree with another post from early, wouldn't mind giving some of the Young Stars a chance.

Coventry V Wolves Monday 9th May

Really enjoyed the meeting last night, well done to both sets of riders on some close battles on an 'interesting track'. Sorry if this is a little too positive for some!

    You can say that again.
  14. Another PR disaster for the BSPA, Peterborough Panthers, in fact everyone involved. Feel sorry for the riders to be honest, trying to make a living in a circus cannot be easy.

I just had a fish finger sandwich for lunch, it was excellent.

    King's Lynn V Poole 27/4/16 7.30pm (skysports)

Not sure there is much incentive to attend this one, as one team is vastly superior to the other and it won't be a contest. Maybe if home fans stay away when Poole visit, rival promoters may stand up to them? Still can't get my head around how the best team in the league ends up with the strongest reserves, not just this year but last year too. Just completely BORED of it all.

Getting rid of Huckenbeck would be pure and utter madness.

    Bspa Warning About Live Streaming

Interesting chat about this on the new speedway podcast 'Home Straight' from the EDP. Anyone know when the somewhat restrictive contract with the current broadcaster ends? Until then, it seems hands are tied to a certain extent sadly. Shocking lack of foresight shown by who ever agreed to the current deal.

    King's Lynn 2016

Monday was called off because the forecast was that of rain. On Monday night, it was raining. Saved me a 2 hour long round trip and a mad rush after work. Also, I've noticed that all the cool looking marketing comms on social media have dried up since Marc Gent left which is a shame.

Bjerre on the heat leader list may have cost him his team place. Can't imagine Stars changing race nights and not bringing in a 'superstar'.

    King's Lynn 2016

In light of the lack of team announcements, people are making more of the Kerr situation than what there actually is just for something to talk about, just to fill time. Hopefully the new rider announcement tomorrow will make people move on...

    King's Lynn 2016

Having been at Peterborough on that awful day, I'm just glad that Lewis is able to ride a speedway bike again. Good luck to him at Ipswich, he WILL be back at the Stars in the future no doubt.

    King's Lynn 2016

The draft is failing in what it is meant to do. It's just a way of making sure the EL teams can have some brits in their team and keep cost down. It's a load of bullrubbish.

The Leicester that cried off the original meeting when they were getting battered?
