  1. I agree on it was a default, but, as you are well aware, that was a complicated deal, based on one x New Holland deal ( I believe that was paid) and six x individual New Holland dealers, who I believe were the defaulters. If that is the case, then it is only right to praise the one who did pay, but to condemn the six that did not.

I had this arguament with Peter Waite in 1999, when he was asking the fans to chip in, there were a lot of donations at the time but one defaulted, and Peter had a go at THE Whole, he was reminded to thank the ones that did, and to be fair he took it on board and did so.

Wherever you got your information from regarding sponsorship payments,it is WRONG, and see no reason for it to discussed on a public forum

  2. Unfortunately, Sarah is bang on with the money with what she is saying.

To maintain decent and healthy crowds you must win at home, and if lose them then it is very hard to get them back.

For me the result is secondary, yes it's good to win but I pay my money to watch entertaining speedway. Last night's offering most certainly was not entertaining. All from the gate and well spread out, very boring IMO

  3. While there`s no doubt the BSPA could've done more surely the biggest hike in costs in the last few seasons has been on equipment, titanium parts, silencers etc, that has lead to riders looking for better contracts from the clubs. Non payment of bonus points was a wrong move as it meant team mate racing against team mate as well as the opposition riders, though surely some clubs must pay bonus points still.

Simplifying equipment might be the way forward, Honda did look at that a few seasons ago, but nothing came of it, IMO we need a motorcycle company to mass produce an engine that could be used right across the sport, maybe even to the extent of clubs buying the bikes to supply their riders, sadly that is never likely to see the light of day.

I don,t know how to copy link, but have a look at F2 Speedway.com

  4. It clearly states in a recent notification to all riders that Starting Marshalls must bring the riders up to the tapes in starting grid order from the inside. I would suggest that in addition to the riders, all Starting Marshalls and referees also need to be made aware of this then hopefully much cleaner starts can be looked forward to.

That rule has been there as long as I can remember ! But I don't think I've ever seen it implemented, it always seems to be a major job for start marshals.

  5. Under the criteria riders must have a Premier League average of over 7.00, or finished fourth or better in their state championship. Doolan has neither, it must be hoped that Doolan qualifies either with British parentage and/or for the years he has been resident over here, which I`m not sure comes into the criteria.

Kevin Doolan has no need for a Visa

  6. Tero is going to be 31 in April, is no longer a club asset and (sadly) unlikely to improve a rolling average.Andre is going to be 38 in May, and would be coming back from an awful whack. A great rider with a fine career, but by now - not least after the injury - an unlikely loan, I'd have thought.Bunyan will be 36 in March, he's on the downslope of an fairly unremarkable career and (according to Rye Housers) is trouble.Looks like a newbie, then -- any informed guesses?

Matic Voldrih, according to George Hepburn
