Yep and it's been fantastic to watch Sam and Harry McGurk, Archie Freeman , Danny smith ,Jordan Palin , Leon Flint, Kyle Bickley, Luke Harrison and many others come through from 125 to 500 then into league racing. Best format tell me if there's a better one .

I’ve sort of lost touch with last year being a non event but absolutely loved watching these young lads progression from the 125s upwards, is Luke Harrison on a 500 now ?  I’d love to see his name on the Bullets team sheet

With the greatest of respect to the other's mentioned i rate keiran Douglas much higher and would be criminal if he didnt get offered a place

Kieran has been riding a good long time now, and since a serious injury a few years ago has imo, stagnated and lost the aggression that you need in a tough sport

As has been pointed out to me on the other thread... even with 4 3.00ers to finish the team luke ruddick would not fit

Sorry, I was thinking Greg Blair and wrote Luke, I know He lives down near Mildenhall these days and was due to ride for them last year

  4. Great to see Berwick joining the National League, along with Armadale and Newcastle the junior scene in the North is certainly looking bright.

Led by Leon Flint and Kyle Buckley, it’s a great start. Surely club assets Mason Watson and Luke Ruddick must be the next to be announced ?

Announcement from Berwick after this season league racing was cancelled. Those of us who bought season tickets have the option of carrying this seasons ticket to next, and will gain entry free of charge should any meetings be held at Shielfield this year.

Excellent statement from the club, I Sincerely hope their loyalty to everyone is rewarded if and when they do have any meetings this year and for 2021.  Well done Berwick Speedway:t:

I am feeling quite optimistic now .The more i look at our team the more excited i get for the new season . I expect some cracking meetings at injury's permitting a play off finish in 4th-6th position.

Whispers up at Berwick would suggest you maybe on the look out for a replacement for one of your riders who has changed his mind about joining you

  7. I had a look in at the track last Saturday and spoke to Razor, Him and Jamie Courtney Had put in a full week at the track. Track looks wide, some of the cambers have changed quite a bit, he said they still had a lot of work to do building the track up but the weather hadn’t stopped them, a new fence has been fitted from the pits to the football tunnel 4 inches higher, and the track is being built up to meet it, this he says will help the riders taking away the dip that was there and making a natural camber to run water off.

Sensible. He could do with the practice round there. Maybe the rumours of him signing for Armadale were wide of the mark

Think he could ride for both possibly, Newcastle are only in the cup and Armadale are only in the league,

  9. So you have qualifiers, and four teams go through for a one off final on a neutral track ?  Would probably attract no more than a few hundred people.     The one event qualifiers and Final at least attract supporters from every track in the league and is generally a great day out with close on to thirty races.   I used to love the old system with four meetings in four days with the Northern clubs, but it will never return sadly as there are not now enough teams.
