Gary was an excellent team manager for Coventry, popular with the riders and very knowledgable. Good call by Poole

Very knowledgeable !!  Only because he had Laurence Rogers tied to his hip. He openly admitted at a Berwick supporters forum that he had NEVER read a rule book, which as it happens proved correct with some of the things he tried to do.   The riders were not impressed either.

Two northern based NL riders still looking for a club, Rutherford and Wallinger would add NL experience.

Rutherford has been around a long time now and at best, is a poor reserve, no future in him whatsoever in my opinion.

Wallinger is around 27, again in my opinion, not a one for the future.

At Berwick we have Mason Watson, only been riding a year, ex Moto X and you can see the improvement almost weekly, The type of rider I’d like to see the promotion going with, After all it is the National DEVELOPMENT League

Agree, but NL  this season is in the main below his level, He has had 2 seasons in NL and to improve he really needs to ride against opposition above his level. iMO.Rates of pay surely can’t make it viable.

At Leon’s age, any track time is invaluable, and I’d say especially on a technical track like Armadale and whatever the opposition.

Those looking forward to the fixture announcements, with Belle Vie getting the SON meeting there is every chance there will be no meeting at Berwick on Saturday May 9 th.

Not every chance, but No Chance,  It will be the same as GP night, no club will be allowed to run that night

welcome back to the dale devils. Great to see we’ve now got a NL team again this far north. Hopefully the stepping stone that we require to bring on some of the young riders we have up here like before with the like of William Lawson, Derek Sneddon and Andrew Tully.

Brilliant news, well done to the Monarchs promotion

Might have said 29th Dalbers is on the Mike an am losing the will to live...

    Jesus... STFU...

Talking about future... pies pasties entertainment  fun fairs pyrotechnics and meat draws...

Oh and I was right he did say the 28th but meant the 29th...

So it's the 29th... my apologies for their mistake...

    Regards

    THJ

Dalbers on the mic, Does that mean Grant Jnr has got rid of that Clown on the centre green that had the ridiculous childish names for the riders ?  We had him at Berwick for a season or so and he was really cringeworthy. Absolutely terrible.

Them 3 still a mile better than the dross Berwick are serving up! Replacing Doolan with Bickley :o.

I think not,  Berwick have NOT replaced Doolan with Bickley !  They have built a team within the points limit specified, Just like every other team in the league

It is. The family have a farm beside Ponteland, and son Rob runs his food van at big shows as well as now Berwick, where his father Big Rob is still well revered. Rob has always been very independant, and has been in his business a number of years now after retiring from riding.

The Grants have not had the farm for a good number of years now, and the catering at Berwick as of the season just gone is done in house and supplied by Anderson Butchers

Nobody should be blocked unless they are abusive.  Just because someone has a different opinion, you are entitled to disagree with them, if you cannot be bothered so be it.  It brightens up my day when Colin witters on, I think it's great to work out what he's on about.

Two people with much the same intelligence then !

The main point was I think , that the track was better after heavy rain.  On Saturday cannot comment, as yet again was not in attendance, ..

Couldn't follow meeting on Updates as no Updater, as for the Tweet link IT WAS REALLY REALLY TERRIBLE

Heavy rain ! ! Shielfield had no heavy rain at all Friday or Saturday, just a very fine misty drizzle on Saturday morning
