It only takes a fall out with the promotion for Tai to move elsewhere. Personally dont see why he would move he has come on a bundle at EL level but still has a long way to go before he is GP class but thats for a different topic. Think Lynn should retain NKI as he really has held the side together at times this year and upped his game all over Europe big time. Id get shot of Korneliussen, as much as I like the guy he proved last season was a bit of a one season wonder.

Rye House V Ipswich (pl)... 1st September @ 6pm
Pinny replied to Shadders's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Mellgren will be pushing a 9 point figure next season imo... Class rider. -
Id go with Woffy as number one and make the other 6 signings form a solid back up to him with a 5 point reserve... Would leave Lindgren out his form in the EL is slipping whereas it should be getting stronger with the EL getting weaker each year!

Oops

Gjedde Mellgren Nelson Grajczonek Lykke Nielsen Auty Morley Would that come under 42.5? Be a hell of a side if so and would imagine it fits assuming Nielsen gets a proper figure

Some parts of the world are just more talented than others at certain sports. Look at brazil and argentina... Class above english footballers yet you cant tell me their facilities back home are superior to english facilities??

Make mellgren your first signing. Has been a revelation for rye this year. What is gjeddes actual average for rye this season?

Top 10 Riders On Current Form
Pinny replied to barrow boy's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Worrall may of come on a lot this season but he is still not one of the top 10 PL riders as yet, which is what this thread is based on. -
Must be honest montie, despite a current striking resemblance to good old Donald, I wouldn't be surprised if he was a bit like Geoff in his younger days
-
Classic! Although I am sure Donald has far more fun than what Mr Snackette does!
-
Meant to say NOT the reason the club folded... oops

NKI sensational today.... when in this form he is superb to watch. -
Whilst he may of been expensive for Newport, he is most definately NOT the reason the club folded... it goes far deeper than that but lets not go into that on this thread.

Zagar class in that one. -
I see no reason why he wont re-produce his Newport form for Rye, where he averaged near 10.5 from 30+ meetings and was the top PL rider in 2011. Banging in maximums home and away all the time. Maybe he isn't in the mood at Rye, who knows? All I know is apart from a torrid spell at a club he clearly didn't get on with in Berwick, he was a class apart for Newport. And wasnt just a classy rider, his influence and encouragement in the pits was tremendous as well. He was on a super deal at Newport last season, but was worth every penny spent I would suggest - he was a big influence in turning us from a bottom of the table team to a top 5 and KOC winning side. The guy is a quality rider... maybe he is just having a slow start for Rye.

Awful track. -
Silver needs shooting if mellgren makes way and bowen/hawkins stay.
-
Well he averaged 6.5 in the main body of the team.... he is a fast improving rider who could be banging on the door of aa 7.5 average this season... he rides Rye very well too.
-
Didn't see his scores from number 2, 3 and 4 for the Wasps last year then?
-
The storys been done a death many times... I fail to see what Gjedde would gain out of taking Rye House for a bunch of mugs. Len Silver has a super record of being a good promoter to work for, so it doesn't make sense. The fact that Gjedde usually starts the season quite slow as Swindon and Reading fans will confirm may have more to do with it. On a positive note, Mellgren has had a fine start to his Rye House career and Silver would be mad to let him go when/if Nelson returns. I predict him to be a genuine heatleader come October.
-
and what reason would he have to do that?
-
Only someone like mr snackete would call signing gjedde a gamble!
-
Replace Hawkins with Nelson if and when he becomes available to ride in the UK. Mellgren will be a fine signing, like Gjedde he was superb in his stint at Newport last season. A true professional who is very young and will have a big future in the sport.
