But, if he was gating successfully, that would suggest that there was little wrong with the power/torque being produced by that engine so a different engine might not be the solution. Perhaps ragdoll's theory about his exit technique, and speed, coming out of bends 2 and 4 reveals the real cause of a reduced speed down the straights? Again, if so, this is something with which he could be helped by a more-experienced teammate.

The bike setup was great for getting out the gate all night but when it hit the dirt it was sapping the power out the engine hence the loss of straight line speed coming off the the bend  he made a changes but didn't work much better so was trying to keep it out the deeper stuff   his engine was good but just  not strong enough  ,scoring double his ave  in  his 1st home meeting and some people still moaning lol

Starkey played a huge part in the engine room last night , his track craft made sure he got into the positions he needed to be.

I have no concerns he will be fine albeit he was riding with Vissing who he was able to let clear off and only look after himself.

This will not be the case with Flint we’re he may need to protect Flint more until he gets dialled in.

His last ride he team rode with sam to not leave him vulnerable to Borke keeping the score  3-3 Borke who would have maybe could have passed sam and give them a 4.2

"Starke was gating, but Christ there was no speed in his bike on the straights and he was having to ride defensive alllllllll night."

I don't pretend to be an expert but is that not a simple matter of selecting the correct gearing? Correct balance to be struck between fast acceleration (gating) and top speed down the straights? Surely his team captain or more-experienced riders can offer advice on the most beneficial settings for the new Ashfield track?

No It’s Not quite as simple as that he did say he is bringing another engine up for next week

I loved it, but I’m not going to lie, I’m suspicious. I want to believe it, but the sceptic in me is screaming ”gullible”.

Harris’ delays were relayed to me, and others, several times by multiple different people associated with the club. I’m not sure if that was strategic.

The timing of his arrival was Hollywood-like. Nothing short of spectacular, if it played-out naturally.

Having said that, why would Edinburgh agree to play along with Glasgow’s orchestrated drama? They wouldn’t.

I’m 75% sure it was real, but 25% suspicious it was a set-up.

Either way, what a situation. Brilliant.

Was 100% true he was stuck on the m6 and was in constant contact with management wasn’t dew till 8pm according to his sat nav but his driver managed to make up a good bit of time Ace piper was ready to take his ride after he was excluded with the 2 minute rule but made it on perfect time thanks to the Edinburgh management and referee for allowing the extra time and steve Worrall for having his spare bike ready and waiting

  5. When you think what these riders put there body through while racing and crashing and falls most must be in pain half the season while riding and there's not many pain killers you can take without any opioids in them so what do they do? some riders I know  take CBD capsules as there ok  which are made from cannabis lol with all the bad stuff taken out
