Somerset Rebels Vs Ipswich Witches [lc Final] 19/10/2012

If only the gp ref had been in charge I'm sure it would have been all 4 back ( tongue in cheek ) -

A bit of a joke decision yes but allegedly Worky were given the option to restage and declined ! The Witches were about to use a tactical when the rain intervened and "could" have clawed a couple of points back , nobody knows how it would have been come ht12 . The really strong heats for the home side would have been 13 and 15 and I have no doubt would have won comfortably ! It's just the way it panned out I'm afraid . -

Doesn't really matter how it's done , I'm sure Ipswich will lose out ! -

I'm sure whatever prehistoric rule the powers that be dig up or invent will no doubt coincide with what Worky want out of it ! It's been a nothing going right season for the Witches from the Anglian cup opener against Rye back in March so why would now be any different ? ( cynical side of me coming out again ) -

Rain dance coupled with Witches magicing ( made up word ) up some dodgy weather saved the day ! Would much rather take Worky on with a full team any day but will have to wait and see what occurs with any decisions that are made on monday . -
Probably one less meeting at Foxhall after tonight's visit to Worky but I see your point .

There could be some interesting twists for the play off final if the IOW fail to overturn Mildenhalls advantage in the semi . Apparently Dudley want the first leg of the final at home leaving The Tigers with only the 31st Oct being available as a date for West Row . They obviously could not leave it till then so alternative tracks have been discussed with earlier dates . Foxhall perhaps ? I'm thinking the Heathens are going down this road as they want to have a lead in case the 2nd leg doesn't end up happening for whatever reason and they would win on 1st leg score ! ( and fully within their rights do so btw ) Just a theory and no doubt I will get slaughtered for my opinion !

Worky will be far too strong at home for the Witches tonight with our current team , I alas predict at least a 20pt turn round but of course I hope the lads will prove me wrong ! Please . -
Mildenhall V Dudley - Ko Cup Final 1st Leg - Sunday 7th October
Super Blue replied to PhilK's topic in National League Speedway
One would suggest that if the bspa have ruled that Josh was entitled to ride that he WAS redeclared and just maybe someone forgot to update the list ! Otherwise why would they have made that decision ? -

It's all Dudleys fault ;-) -
Mildenhall V Dudley - Ko Cup Final 1st Leg - Sunday 7th October

Thanks for clarifying . One would now say it's been 3 days since the event so why is there not an answer yet ? Another case of the authorities taking their time to make up rules and regulations to suit which side they got out of bed this morning perhaps ? -
Mildenhall V Dudley - Ko Cup Final 1st Leg - Sunday 7th October
Super Blue replied to PhilK's topic in National League Speedway
Surely if the rules state that no more changes to lineups can be made after said date unless rider is returning from injury this whole debate is irrelevant ? After all , Josh was just coming back into the team as he is entitled to do ! -

So with myself not being a rule boffin in any way shape or form does this mean it was fully in the rules to bring Josh back or not ? -

Cracking result for the Tigers , would have been a bit closer had it not have been for the nasty crash Byron had ( hope he's ok and had has a speedy recovery ) Every team member did well and chipped in on the scoring ! It should now be in Mildenhalls hands now and if they give up a 28pt lead then they don't deserve the cup ! Well done today lads ! -

A good transvestite ??? I don't like him but that's a bit harsh ! -

I still don't understand why Pedersen laid his bike down in the semi when he had half a chance of winning the race , beats me why he did it ! Lucky to be in the rerun after giving Chris nowhere to go and falling off ! Took Lindback out as well , just dirty ! Shocking refereeing to allow him in the rerun . -
ABP , ABP PLEASE ABP !!! That's , Anyone but Pedersen !!! His finger wagging when he is clearly at fault for a crash constantly winds everyone up and he doesn't like it when someone is hard on him ! COME ON CHRIS !!!

Witches V Monarchs Koc Semi 1st Leg Oct 4th
Super Blue replied to dontforgetthefueltapsbruv's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
A good meeting with some decent racing ! More than happy with the 20pt lead although could have been more or less with the 2nd bend issues . As said by others this tie is far from over and if the Monarchs do overturn it they will have earned the place in the final the hard way ! On the crowd front , it was lower than I expected for a semi final ( Must be us southern softies don't like the cold at this time of year ! ) -
Witches V Monarchs Koc Semi 1st Leg Oct 4th
Super Blue replied to dontforgetthefueltapsbruv's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Would like to think a half decent lead could be achieved tonight but let's be honest the Witches have been a complete enigma this season ! So much promise but very little actually achieved . Could be a feisty affair after the recent meetings between the clubs so bring it on ! -
Mildenhall V Dudley - Ko Cup Final 1st Leg - Sunday 7th October
Super Blue replied to PhilK's topic in National League Speedway
If these lineups are correct it should be an interesting meeting ! Hope Josh Bates has not come back to early as this is not the meeting to be a tester for him ! Maybe he's had some laps somewhere and feels good ? Looking forward to it already . -
My personal opinion is it's an expensive sport to go and watch these days ! Realistically it works out about a pound a minute of racing and that puts it in the realms of being one of the most expensive sports around ! It's one of the reasons for falling attendances I'm sure and quite a heavily debated topic in various places on this forum . Opinions ???

Mildenhall V Isle Of Wight - Sunday 30th September - Double Header
Super Blue replied to PhilK's topic in National League Speedway
A good couple of meetings , fantastic value for money and a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon and evening ! Whoever Adam Ellis signs for they will do well to get him as I can see him doing what Cam did last year and end up going straight from reserve to possibly a no1 without a stop in the middle . On a slight downer as far as Mildenhall winning silverware is concerned , I believe the current reserve partnership could possibly end up costing them these trophies . Lets be honest the IOW team is not the strongest in the league and still Gareth and Ryan only managed 9pts between them in the 2 meetings combined . This really isn't enough to overcome the likes of Dudley over 2 legged competitions , I hope I'm wrong ! Don't suppose there's any chance of Adam Ellis guesting next Sunday ? Just a pipedream !
