Mildenhall Ajl Challenge Fixture - 8th April 2012 Following Mildenhall V Dudley National Shield Fixture
Super Blue replied to PhilK's topic in Youth Speedway and Development Leagues
I dont know the true reasons for their withdrawal but both completed schedualed rides , neither appeared to have any mechanical problems and neither got injured so unless they suddenly needed to be somewhere i dont see any other reason . If they had time issues why agree in the first place ? Anyway lets put that one to bed and look forward to the AJL proper . Do we know when the league actually starts as these are just warm up challenges so far , arent they ? -

Apologies for that , i was just wound up that 2 riders that had obviously agreed to take part suddenly couldnt be bothered ! My comments were more biased against them as opposed to what took place , possibly a bad choice of words . -

Unsure of the final score in this as it only ended up as 5 heats . The Heathen reserves obviously decided they didnt want to take part at the last minute and screwed up the concept of the challenge . Im sure someone has the score but not all races ended up with the full 4 riders . A shame as there was some competitive racing and the whole idea is very good for the future of the sport . -

Looking forward to this one tomorrow with a little apprehension as Cam seemed a little out of sorts at Foxhall yesterday ! Hopefully it was just a blip with machinery as he had his mechanic with him on the back straight before one of his rides . I think he may struggle to keep his 9 plus average this season after taking the NL by storm last year with his commitments at PL and NL levels this time around . Like others i think the outcome of this meet may come down to how both teams No 1's perform but Cam's gating could well be the deciding factor on the day . He really has not been good in that department so far this season , being last out in most of his races . -

Jerran is only realistically a reserve at PL level at the moment mainly due to being very inconsistant last season at Ipswich , Would quite regularly win heat 2 convincingly and then follow that with falling off in 2 of his next 3 rides ( hence his low average ) He does have alot of potential , he just needs to calm down a bit . -

Jerran wasnt exactly burning up the track at Ipswich last year but on his day put in some very creditable perfomances [ Posting a time in one heat only a fraction of a second outside current track record ] Hope he finds a club soon as he does have potential ! Good luck to him at Dudley . -

At least Cam will have had plenty of track time for The Witches this season so he should be up to speed ! Im already looking forward to the Rye House double header away on 4th June when My 2 favourite teams face the Rockets and the Raiders all for 1 price of £16 -

Well i have to admit when you are only operating with only 6 riders you cant really afford to have anyone under par . We got away with it at Leiceester but if Tres had been scoring as we know he can , the scores on both Friday and Saturday would have most certainly been even more in our favour ! Also i dont know about other peoples opinions about supposedly '' meaningless ! '' meetings , but as a fan for nearly 40 years i want us to win everything going if possible ! Lets be honest weve seen some very good times and some equally bad over the years ! Does anyone know if the League Cup matches count to the overall rider averages ? If they do it wont be too long before Rohan is out of reserve spot and someone else in . -

When Morton and Taylor are fit can we have them both back in the team please and keep Leigh at number 1 . I will leave you all to work out for yourselves who i think should lose his spot by his perfomances so far this year .
