    Will take 7 imo.

Needs to go 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2 on average to go Over 13 though. One last or F, EX, T, EF, R and he needs to get 14 out of 18.

At odds against I think it's worth a small stake considering the form of the Panthers side.

Lawson under 13 took by eye straight away,as did Harris +4 over Lawson.

If Buxton want to ride Sunday should not have to worry about competing with Sheffield. Possibly a few Stoke fans may fancy going to Buxton. Seems a bit more viable for them compared to previous season.

I could see a good 100 or so stoke fans going over to Buxton if they came back into the nl.

Scunthorpe Stags in 2014 started out with 1 seasoned rider & 6 novices would probably take that honour. Very controversial & got beat heavily in most matches but it was seen as a way to develop the younger riders. Only 1 win in that season.

That Workington side was in the old second division, what's now known as the championship.

Yes, that's right Stevie B did 3 exhibition rides.

I also recall it raining part way through the meeting so they moved the interval. I went into the pits and got Rod North's and Les Sawyer's autograp

You have a good memory, that comets team was probably the worst team in national league history.

I'm gutted that I can't be there. I'm abroad on holiday.

I've been going to Loomer Road since 1980 and the first oponents I saw were Workington. Billy Burton broke the track record in heat 1. Rod North got a reserve maximum, and Ian Hindle scored about twice as many as the rest of the Comets put together.

I was hooked then, but now I'm just very sad at the way the sport is going.

    Let's hope it's a fitting finale.

    Up The Potters!

I started going in 1980,I remember that afternoon robbo rode for the comets, and bastable rode three match races in the second half great memories.

Yes I remember Douglas scoring 12 for wolves at Peterborough while riding at number 2 earlier in the season,so I thought he may well do well this evening.:drink:
