Coming from someone with the name Mad?
Yes I'm Mad Mad Mad

Catching up with Mondays papers I came across this in the Daily Mirror.
Tai in with world shot.
Tai Woffinden has boosted his chances of becoming the first Brit to win a World Championship.
The Wolverhampton & GP star climbed to third in the rankings after finishing fourth in the European Grand Prix in Poland.
But he said “ Its a long season & anything can happen.

You're either a class A moron, or you're taking the piss. You know as well as I do that things have changed in the past 30 or so years with regards to projects line this. Why do you think the new silencers were introduced?
Careful that bed bug brain might get bigger.

The houses have always been there?

If last nights coverage had been rubbish (and it definitely wasn't) it wouldn't have mattered as the racing was exceptional. Hopefully the organisers will learn from it and prepare the other tracks like that.
Agree one of the best prepared racetracks for years with plenty of different racing lines. Take note Tony Olsson Prepare a good track (not a motorway) and you will get good racing & passing.

When it doesn't effect your ability to do you job and doesn't cause harm to anyone else it's acceptable.
Darcy, Chris and Troy will still be able to race speedway this week. Nobody was hurt or injured as far as we're aware so it doesn't matter.
If they are sober?
-
Just let the Darcy ride
Breathalyse him first though.

it would only be a matter of time before one of the current promotors got in someone who is a man but was a women before the op ,stating that their mother was a women or lived in scotland in a past life or another lame excuse similar to the crap they come up with now to get round the rules which they make but cant stick to
and just for the record jessica lamb was not really that bad and did score some points at reserve for plymouth
Agree she wasn’t bad looking Dean

In the bad old days of speedway, if a team had a heat leader out they used rider replacement. If both teams had any of their 1 to 3 out both teams promoted their 4th highest rider then moved the highest reserve up the order, then brought in their No. 8 at reserve. But as this was the bad old days and its now better to have any Tom, Dick or Harry in your team.

Stabiliser to stop them falling off

With 3 Swindon lads in the team the Stokies have gained a Wiltshire based fan!
Should start selling Wiltshire Ham sarnies in the Bar then.

And how do you enforce that? They can pledge to do it, but ultimately there's nothing to stop them changing allegiance later on.
Happens in cricket all the time.
Then let them start in the Premier League under their Foreign Nationality at 16 on a 5 point average.

They aren't excluded if they pledge their future to Britain.
That’s the point, if they want to ride in the National League they should stay British.

Thank you MrMungo - then I have no problem with him in the National League.
As has Robert Branford.
-
No - not artificial at all. They do their training at National League level against the odd 'older' Rider (with which I have no problem) and then progress to the Premier/Elite League IF they are good enough. To give foreigners the chance to become better through our Training structure to me seems stupid. If we wish British Speedway to prosper, and I assume we all want that, then priority MUST be given to British Riders.
At the end of the day a Speedway Rider is a Speedway Rider be he foreign or British. You can only Race what is alongside you at the Tapes.
Who will he ride for at International level.
TeamGB no problem.
Denmark - then NO he should NOT be allowed in our National League.
The clue is in the name.
Totally agree with you White Knight. If they want to ride in the National League or on a reduced average in the Premier League, they should remain as a GB National.

Sorry HT - I can't agree. There are already far to many Foreign Riders here already. The National League should be for British Riders only. In my opinion that is the only way we will develop as a Speedway Nation. Part of the reason for our current slide in to obscurity is due to us employing Foreigners in place of British talent. How disheartening must it be when some of these Foreigners are brought in by British Clubs and they are no better, and in some cases worse, than the British Riders who are struggling to find a Team place.
The White Knight I totally agree with you. To many foreigners have destroyed British riders.

Have the promoters ever looked in the Oxford Dictionary? It says Promote :- Someone promotes something, they try to make it happen, increase, or become more popular, e.g. The need to promote Speedway.

Could have done with an index, it took me an hour to find Poole
Its on the South Coast.

I would open it up even more . The NL should be open to the likes of Mitchell Davey , Jake Anderson etc , who are perhaps that wee bit below PL standard , but could benefit from NL racing . Surely they would add more to the development of young British riders in regards to competition more than having old stagers like Jon Armstrong and Tony Atkins taking the places of youngsters .
Paulco:- the National League was supposed to be for British riders. Not riders who can the change their Nationality when it suits them.
-
Paulco I think they should not be allowed revet to a foreign nationality if they use duel passport or parentage to start racing in the UK. This means they are taking the place from a British rider.

Should riders with duel Nationality or British Parentage be allowed to race on a reduced average in the Premier League or ride in the National under 16 when first racing in the UK. Then change back to to another Nationality once they have an official average or reach 16.

Standardise bikes so it is down to skill & not who can afford to pay the supposed best tuners. Let younger fans have a guided tour of the pits before the meeting with someone explaining about the bikes.

Cos they have to beat Ward!!
Put sugar in his tank when he’s not looking

There future of speedway has got to be a level playing field and this is going the opposite way and just adding extra cost that is not needed
Speedway is littered with parts that are no better than the basic ones but riders at all levels buy them cause of the "gp riders use it" and titanium will be no different. All this is doing is making speedway more and more about the engine and less about the rider and that will be the end of speedway
Why not just let the 15 full time GP riders do what they want with their supper charged missiles. That are easy to ride full throttle on slick tracks but throw them towards the fence with dirt on.
Then for league matches the rest can run standard bikes with GP bikes band.

But that’s what this league is supposed to be about. Finding new British riders.
