    Rye House 2016

Bye Bye to the Yellow and Blue halves is an awful decision. I have tried to be balanced this winter and support the new management but this was a bad decision IMO. Gone with the body colour ( its even worse than Ronnie Russells effort) goes a small part of my club I have loved since 1970 and hence that much easier to leave the whole lot behind if in the future Im not satisfied with the show (you better deliver a good product now)

Very sorry to hear of Johns leaving. The former postie, certainly delivered a 1st class service for the Rockets over the last 16 years ending the only way possible, the sack. All joking apart many thanks to a very underappreciated person (but really just a big big fan) as they say you only realise what you had when its gone.

Only 30 days to go, just imagine it The sound of "the magnificent men in their flying machines" blaring away 4 Boiler suited men walk uncoordinated to the centre green An 80 something man mumbling in to a muffled microphone He throws a £2 coin at 4 boys standing on the ex-dog track, but as usual its on a bit of string so he can pull it back at the last moment so he use it next week Bowen and Boxall are warming their bikes up, but don't worry we have new blood this year as Mear and Tommy Gun are back, but no Tyson "again" DIDNT YOU JUST LOVE THE SEVENTIES Hold on somethings changed ????????

Well said Startline Sid, I believe this lack of "benefit of the doubt" is because over the last few years Silver used up ALL the goodwill. Give the new owners a fair chance, of course hold them to account, but allow them a chance to "get their feet under the table" after all they would have never experienced the murky world that is Speedway.

I get that the new owners have made some bizarre decisions, maybe by them or maybe other influences (im not in the know) but these are new times, Lets hope they are on a fast learning curve and these mistakes will not be repeated in the future but at least we have speedway to look forward to. With regards to loaning out riders to our close rivals, since ive been supporting this team our closest rivals have been Romford and Hackney (don't forget it). Gone is the Silver mantra "I will do it my way but at least I will open next season"

Agreed Karger is no NBJ especially with his scores last season at Kings Lynn 8+3 and K*nt 7+1 against NATIONAL LEAGUE RIDERS, but hopefully he is a work in progress for the future signing, then all this pessimism about the future is unfounded and maybe the promotion do have good intentions, well until they get p*ssed off will all the negativity aimed at them. Afterall we aint gonna win the league this sedason so I would rather see a rider develop than Kerb Krawling Klint.

Im pleased with Ruml, Lets face it we are not in the running for the league so I would rather be entertained and seeing Kasper, Ruml, Heeps (hopefully) improve and Robson St will make Saturday evenings much more enjoyable than Kerb Krawling Klindt.

Best way to avoid the Tarmac truck is get behind the team, get behind the riders and get behind the management. If the plan is for only one more year then getting Ruml for the long term doesn't make sense, nor does running the Raiders but LOSING A SHED LOAD OF MONEY FROM AN UNSUPPORTED TEAM will do it easily.

Surely Lambert and Worrall should be the top end reliable riders, followed by Lindgren the younger, that makes Kus a second string, show me a better second string this season, in fact he would be our second heat leader at Rye House, some people don't know how lucky they are.

still a better option than bringing over a foreigner and hoping anyway! That's and interesting plan, there is a rumour that Nick Busk Jacobson has promise, we could get him over, use this season to bed him in to English speedway, see the tracks, learn the gearing etc and then in year 2 we could take advantage of a fast improving low average rider like we did with Linus Sundstrom and some other rider whose name escapes me.

Congratulations on December clearly lots of people recruit at this time of year., This team is going to struggle big time away. But after the straight jacket that the first 5 riders announced put us in, Robbo and Heaps was pretty good. With the big advantage of Kasper/Lanham at reserve which will help the lack of heat leaders 2 & 3 to help Kennett.

    Rye House 2016

I heard that Robbo was ignored on his recent visits to Rye (disgraceful if that was the case) and re-signs as soon as Len leaves (maybe coincident) Welcome home Robbo, I know we have a fairly weak team but I will at least enjoy Robbo and Kasper at home although Shadders away days will be barron to say the least.

    Newcastle 2016

in 2014 Kus was superb at the back end of the season for Berwick, so much so that Redcar insisted on using him in their team for 2015 in 2015 Kus got better and better as the season progressed (didn't sulk) and as Redcar`s injuries mounted he carried the team almost single-handedly in 2016 would I want him as our No 1, no, but with a top end of Lambert, Worrall S and Lingren he would be a dream second string (ours is Leigh Lanham) As for this " gating tart" label, what big scoring rider does not score the vast baulk of his points from the gate.

I think Masters would be an improvement on Poundbert

Like everyone not the most exciting team so far But the real test is when Warren makes changes to the team when the results prove what everyone expects(I would guess by May) Warren clearly moved last season when he saw the season was petering out, granted the changes didn`t work but the last three years under Len each season failed not because of the team in March but the during the season changes that were woeful to say the least. If Warren stays with this team then I strongly advice NO SHALE as its a team of gaters (sorry Kasper)

Is history repeating itself. When Len sold Rye to Ronnie Russell in 1987 he omitted to include Andrew Silver in the deal (to Ronnies surprise) and promptly sold Andrew to Arena Essex. Move on 20 years, Len made some barbed comments in the S Star clearly stating this was no amicable split, so was NBJ included in the sale and if not what was the loan/sale terms of acquiring NBJ?
  18. Is Todd Kurtz fit for the play offs or is he "done" for the season

    Warren Scott

Its time to start supporting Warren Scott at Rye House, whatever has gone on, has gone on, but ALL us fans wish Rye House to continue and grow and the ONLY way this can happen is under the owners wishes and that it WARREN SCOTT. Try to move on and see the bigger picture and support the club not boycott it, Warren you have my support.

    Warren Scott

Shadders should we be looking towards Len or Warren regarding Andrews departure (surely if Andrew wanted to move on he would of waited until after the season as we are coming to the business end of what has been a very successful season for the Raiders)

Very sad as Andrew has been THE success story at Rye House this year. Our loss will be somebobys gain.

Welcome aboard Robert, you start wish a clean slate (after all Peterboro have got history and there is often two sides to a story). Is there some team planning for next season in the NotSoElite League
  23. Thanks for clearing that up, Ah the small print
  24. Where`s Dave Stummings the statistian as it seems r/r for NBJ only gets 5 - 7 points a meeting why oh why do we not get a guest like every other team does (Sheffield has r/r for Stead ALL season)
