Glasgow v Scunthorpe 12th June 2023
Joseq7 replied to cinderfella's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
It's really difficult to say. The promotion has tweeted a general "when and where" tweet first thing so they're intending to go ahead. Judging by the forecasts it'll be showery but it's quite blustery too. My "guess" is it'll definitely be ON, although TBH I wish I hadn't prebooked at ticket online as its pretty miserable. -

We agree, but we can only assume it's not breaking even. -

Do we know if this has been confirmed for 3pm? -
Desperate, just desperate.

What weather forecast are the Tigers management looking at that makes them optimistic that this meeting will be on?

Aye that's the smart money bet, it's going to be an early call off. Annoying, as its a lovely day today grrr.

Czech GP round 3 Prague Saturday May 28th
Joseq7 replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
You'll have probably spotted on the Cardiff thread that someone was saying they can't go Saturday but want to go Sunday and they were asking if "Sunday only" tickets would be available? Any insight? -
I don't know, but I'm thinking the answer to your question is a no. However what you could do, if you haven't thought of this already, is to buy the cheapest ticket you can for the Saturday, which should be £20 plus the usual bull extras, and that will allow you in to Sunday for "free". Sunday is unreserved seating. Pay for the worst seat on Saturday, turn up early Sunday and sit in the best seat in the house! Now it might ultimately turn out you can buy tickets for Sunday alone, and they may just be a tenner, for example, but my suggestion would work, I believe.

Newcastle vs Glasgow 8/5/22 4pm??
Joseq7 replied to lisa-colette's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I'm not fundamentally disagreeing with you but I must say I do enjoy a wee bit of colour commentary from the texter too. It gives me more of a feel for the momentum of a meeting. And of course I usually expect the comments to be a bit biased but *if* their reporting is factually inaccurate and defaming then that's not in the correct spirit. -

I have no grudge against Newcastle, or any other team in the league, we all ultimately need each other, but this must never be allowed to happen again. -

Our friends in the East appear to have got a march on us in at least a couple of areas recently: streaming and investment in local youth. -

It's been very drizzly all day in Paisley today and there's forecast for occasional rain in Glasgow tomorrow too. Anyone more local to the track, with a weather update? -

Should Laguta and Emil be kicked out of the GP Series?

Not technically "under" the Russian flag are they, so no. -
Fair play for taking it on the chin fella. Others would throw the toys out.

You mean dumb and dumber? At least they didn't start looking to their sides or downwards, that sh*t is super weird.

I'm honestly surprised anyone persists with James Sarjeant. Aged 28 and an average barely over 4. He's just not got it.

Does anyone know what the ticketing arrangements might be? Presumably the SGP1 isn't free included with the SGP ticket? Assuming that is the case would we imagine there would be a reduced cost for the SGP1 event if you're already an SGP ticket holder? Same seats? How well is it likely to be attended? If the don't offer some price incentive and if you keep your Saturday seat there could be less than ten thousand rattling about that huge arena. I recognise that most of these questions are complete imponderables at the moment.

Glasgow v Leicester - Championship - 6pm - Sunday 19 September 2021

If that's really the very best the unionists can come up with it's no wonder Sturgeon wipes the floor with them every election. -

But it's okay to trot out the tired ignorant cliche "doesn't Nicola Sturgeon look like wee Jimmy Krankie" without criticism is it? -
