  1. I'm pleased Tai won it and hope he and Bomber finish in the top two positions in the 2014 GPs, but I think the very idea of a minority sports award is ridiculous, you might as well hand out trophies for entering an event. It's as daft as the black police officers association or these music awards that nobody can quite explain what the boundaries are. Sorry for putting a negative spin on it, I know how you like to dream up these obscure questions to start a thread, but to be honest I don't give a **** what awards he gets, as long as he enjoys what he does and is successful.

    So Where Now Nick Morris

Who cares about him? He had the chance to ride as a Brit but chose against it, so stuff him. Anyway it'll give him more time to devote to his off-track nocturnal habits.

Is that feeling based on the fact that you don't like the rule? If one Brit raises his game because of this, then it HAS helped young Brits. The set-up as was, couldn't carry on anyway, so if this makes promoting more affordable AND helps some Brits. Then it's a good thing. I'm happy with it, you're obviously not (then I've yet to see anything that you are happy with), I'm happy to give it a go, you aren't (but have no option), that's an end to it.... Wait and see what happens (insert usual moan followed by "nothing" here).

He's had his chance and hasn't made the expected progress. The draft MIGHT throw up a winner or two. The promoters DID agree to the draft (it was actually the idea of Chris Morton and others I believe)and see it as a long-term idea.

He might well have been replaced by a foreigner under the previous set-up. The promoters/team managers had the choice and chose the riders that they did, over others on the list, there are more being added to the list should a change be required. More and more people (including Scott Nicholls and Tai Woffinden) have said it's the right thing to do. Whoever was on the list, there would have been grumblers.

They haven't been forced out, they've had their chance, there are other British riders in the 1-5 of teams, who promoters and team managers think are a better prospect, there will be changes anyway as the season goes on, you don't often get the same seven right through a season. You get more fixtures though, and most season ticket prices are either frozen or reduced.

The remark about Paul Starke was uncalled for, as I said "Berwick stuck by him". Crashes happen, are you blaming Tai for Gollobs injuries and others for all the other injuries that riders have had over the years? The other two riders WERE selected in preference to others and deserve their chance. Not everyone will turn into an international from the Draft, but if it brings on some of them to a higher level it will have been well worthwhile.

That's a rather nasty post. Lambert and Smart were chosen by their respective promoters in preference to other riders on the list, as far as I know Berwick intended having Paul Starke back this year but he wanted (and found) a spot nearer home. It's in everyone's interest to have the Draft riders do well and encourage them.

The riders who look like they might get somewhere at international level have made it into EL 1-5s or are on the draft list. I think some people don't see reality because of emotion or something. There WILL be opportunities as people drop out of team line-ups for one reason or another, it's up to riders to put themselves at the top of the list.

Auty hasn't improved much to me, Roynon (however unfortunately)has spent so much time on the sick, he needs to start again and re-establish himself. Is Birks 100% fit? Good luck to the three anyway.

Not that I know of, but Philip did say there might be a few late notifications which were too late for the printed version.

I have used it from day one, I like it, it's easy to navigate and read and you can go back a few previous issues if you want. I use it on my PC though and haven't tried it on anything else.

    Redcar Bears 2014.

    At home maybe.

    Redcar Bears 2014.

It's a solid looking line-up. Lawson is a brilliant capture and Crang is a great prospect. None of the other five have exactly been moving up much in recent seasons. I think I would have left Wilko out, he falls off far too often and turns up with substandard equipment at times. Good luck to the Bears though, probably a mid-table side.... Prove me wrong! :-)

Well done Bomber! Two Brits in the GP! Great stuff! They BOTH have my full support.

    Sky Sports New Deal

Any help is better than none! What you describe can happen to any rider in any league. Anyway I won't argue the point, I'm too sickened off with all the negative attitudes on here.

At some clubs there will be some loan equipment in the offing, It's obviously in the clubs interest to try and get the best from their reserves.
  18. He's already said that he will be in the 1-5.

Hope he doesn't clear off mid-season like he has done with two of his other clubs.

    Elite League Draft Riders

It's supposed to be someone from the list, which is extended to 30 names, anyone who would have been on the original first pick list can only replace a first pick rider. So you can't fiddle it (even if you are Poole).

    Elite League Draft Riders

They are mostly competing against each other, apart from second strings who are likely to be 3,4 or 5 point riders themselves.

    Elite League Draft Riders

That's not true, the list is being extended to 30. No he's going straight into the 1-5.
