  1. Nothing against Sarj but in my opinion i just cant see much improvement, we could take better routes IMO.

sarje could be a good shout for the number 6 spot on 3.20, always thought there is something there but never took it to the next level, maybe signing for his local team may bring the best out of him, still a bit of a gamble though.

with lasse looking for a club elsewhere i reckon graj has commited himself to us,wouldnt mind the following

    1. grajczonek

    2. williamson

    3. bates

    4. kerr/starke

    5. howarth

    6. sarjeant

    7. wood

or todd kurtz at4,and greaves at 6, as an alternative.

think grav might find points harder to come by if he has to race in the team rather than at reserve.

matt williamson got an average of 4.72 riding in the main body of the team after the first month,so could be a snip on that average.

  2. the red light was actually put on as the riders were on the second bend, its just that 3 riders decided to go flat out for the lead and probably decided to look what was happening on track rather than the lights on the outside, yes lasse did move to the outside,to cover josh`s run,but still left enough room for josh to pass(just) plus josh also had the option to shut the throttle off,and this was the view of most of us on the 3rd bend.

  3. Josh Auty needs a ban for trying to punch Bjerre off his bike. Should've stuck to his retirement the baby.

Come across some joke speedway fans throughout the years of being a supporter, but the 5/6 Workington fans on the 3rd/4th bend who were booing the Sheffield pair and calling Kyle Howarth a disgrace after getting to his feet after Charles Wright had took him out from behind are an absolute disgrace. Complete bitter, brain dead group of invalids.

howarth and wright came together due to ben barker slowing it down,if ben had got his head down and gone on,they might have took the title cos wrighty might have got the better of lasse, but what a tremendous race that was by all four riders.

  4. Thanks very much. I'm very tempted to go along...

The Sheffield website implies, but doesn't actually say, that kids under 12 are free. Is that the case?

dont forget if its a bspa meeting which i think it is under 12`s wont be free,

i will go for edinburgh and sheffield to qualify from 2nd group,1st group qualifiers could be any 2 of the 5,but go for ipswich and worky, overall winners will go for edinburgh.

  5. full marks to all riders for getting on with the job,in less than favourable conditions, bends 1 and 2 for the last 5/6 races was just slime on the inside, compared to bends 3/4,if you didnt make the gate and get on an outside run, you had no chance, some scorpions clearly couldnt get on with the track and conditions, but fair play to the monarchs for sticking in there and getting the job done.

  6.

You're right about the 3pm start but I suspect that yesterday was because of the junior meeting.

I thought the bloke in the announcers box was awful. Mistake after mistake after mistake and couldn't keep his trap shut. Bring back Graham Tagg with all speed.

the guy in the announcers box sounds like hes conducting a funeral, quiet, softly spoken, and portrays liitle enthusiasm to get the crowd going, it is hard to hear him against a strong wind, which maybe was a good thing, come on rob, change the announcer and make scunny a place to really enjoy visiting.

p.s. keep the guy on the centre green hes not bad.

  7.

That's a complete red herring and not what I actually said. I never mentioned the timing of my visits to Owlerton, far less 'the last couple of seasons'. Just the same as when I mentioned visiting Hyde Road I didn't mention the last couple of season either.

ask anyone at sheffield and they will say the same, we used to be proud of our great racing track, in case you was wondering why the PLRC or whatever they are calling it this year has been moved, theres your answer.

why is it a red herring, i wasnt replying to you personally, i was stating the obvious about our tracks.

p.s. let it go lad, tha`ll have a coronary.

  8. been going to owlerton since 1972, and never, over that time has the racing been as poor as it has over the last couple of seasons, if there is 3 passes after the 2nd bend thats it, as for the EWR, so many different racing lines and absolutely blows owlerton out of the water(im afraid to say) for excitement and entertainment, thank god for sunny scunny on a sunday to see some passing.
