The thing about the Stadium's location is that it can be relatively dry even if its hissing down in the nearby suberbs.  Equally the reverse can also be true. So we'll just have to rely on those actually there to make the judgement.

    True that

what riders do outside of speedway has nothing to do with anyone else, as long as they don't bring it to the track, he was a world champion so must of taken it serious

Was champion when he was taking it all seriously, but he since then has let himself down time and time again.

Also you make the statement "what riders do outside of speedway has nothing to do with anyone else"  what a stupid uneducated statement, Seriously any sportsman and sports lady are in the spot light do you think Speedway riders are immune from this..

  3. Peeing myself literally at people saying they should be careful what they post on here because it could have implications fk me get out more!

Have people never been on any other sporting discipline forum jeez think you'd be in for a culture shock but as usual this is Speedway and everything is still living in the 70's

When most top riders these days seem to be on strict diets and exercise plans to help them be the best they can,if this is true perhaps its part of the reason why Chris is not the same rider he used to be.

I was about to say something on those lines and you took the words right out of my mouth.

Why mate ?. Matt tries his heart out for the club, eh the race suits/ Bibs is a cost cutting measure that all clubs will have to make, except matt has been upfront and acknowledged the fact.. As for the 10k, Matt would never had stumped it up could he not afford to pay it, As for the meeting, the track was very RACEABLE, not rideable, untill late after noon when steady rain that was expected materialised, Up to that point, Glyn had put NO water on the track, it didnt need it, and would have rode very well and the rain  that was expected turned up. Matt predictably was not to pleased, its not his fault, the forcast was for light rain and the meeting could have gone ahead, but the forcast was dire and the rain contary to the forcast got heavier,  and the right decision was made so people didnt come in and pay then all concerned had the hassle of refunds.

I have never liked Ford I am a Poole fan have been since 90's, the race jackets look sh1te they don't look like they fit some riders and the design why not don an old pirates design for the anniversary it makes more sense.

Also I don't understand why they would try and host such a big meeting in March with the unpredictable weather why not in the summer months its brain dead.

Have to say the improvement in the social media and general news side of the club has improved dramatically.  Twitter, facebook, website and now instagram being used to put the message out.  Speedway portal also putting out good quality footage on a regular basis.

Doesn't matter how much of a improvement it is Ford is still a knob!

A world champion speedway rider, taking a short amount of time off due to devastating personal issues, being replaced by a substitute GP rider who hasn't even came close to the champs level and everybody is up in arms.

A sport full of ars*holes, and I'm not talking about the promoters.

    Riders?

Gavan why don't you go and do one, how is it a hollow victory, it's only short term replacement, not the whole season, give the bloke some slack, poodle of back to the championship section

Come on no need to get a stork on over it

Mmm something fishy going on, after last year's shenanigans it wouldn't surprise me one bit if he's trying to engineer a way out. After all it's well known he wanted to be at Somerset with his brother and Doyle this season. Sorry, I know he's had issues but I really think there's more to it, especially if he continues with his other commitments

That thought had occurred to me
