Jason Doyle in this week's Star hints at changes to the track. The building of new rider's changing rooms has been mentioned by DH I believe.. As I said earlier this week - PR is not the promotion's strong point!
-
PR never has been the Lion's strong point. How can they expect people, apart from the very hardy supporters, to part with their cash for a season ticket when we don't know who will be in the team?
-
I don't think you can use Premier League averages to work out how well riders will do in the Elite League. Just as a by the way Tom Perry had a better Elite League average last season than Simon Lambert but the Lions got rid of Tom so what do you make of that?
-
Would have preferred Clegg to Lambert. Just checked their averages for 2014 - Lambert 4.13 (3.5 ex bonus points), Clegg 3.47 (2.87).
-
I think its about time that all of you who have been involved in this exchange should give it a rest!!!!!!! Hopefully you will all have something more to fall out over after tomorrow's meeting re the Fast Track Reserves.
-
Has anyone else received a duff copy of the Star this week with pages either missing or duplicated?
-
I will be more positive when I know who is in the team. At the moment all we have is a Pole who has no Elite League experience. I certainly would not think about buying a season ticket until I knew who was going to be in the team!
-
I see that there is one optimist on the Lion's Facebook page asking if the season ticket will cover the playoffs. Apparently it will!
-
Not sure if this helps the debate about rider's averages but here is the appropriate extract from the 2014 Regulations:- 17.3 RIDERS MATCH AVERAGES (see SR 16.2 for Definitions) and GRADINGS 17.3.1 Riders new to Elite League racing are categorised as follows: Cat 1: Riders with an “end of the previous season’s published average” in the Polish Ekstraliga, the Swedish Elitserien or any other Professional Speedway League, or any Rider subject to a Certificate of Sponsorship Cat 2: Riders not riding in a Professional League (excluding those in Category 3) Cat 3: Commonwealth and USA (to a maximum of 4 each season) Riders new to British Speedway Cat 4: Riders who have been declared on the British Speedway Fast Track Development Programme (FTDP Riders) 17.3.2 The Assessed MA's for new Riders to the EL racing is: Cat 1 as per SR 17.3.3 Cat 2 4.00 Cat 3 3.00 Cat 4 as per SR 17.3.6 17.3.3 Category 1 Riders will be listed on a “Grading Riders List”, published annually at the end of each season showing an Assessed MA based upon results obtained in all other Professional Speedway Leagues during that season.

Demolition Of Brandon Stadium
Happy Hunter replied to beerspanner's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
No, neither am I, but, if Leicester's experience is anything to go by, it might be missing for a good few years. As it is, I can't see anyone getting planning permission and building a new track in time for the Bees to move in straight after they leave Brandon. -
Couldn't agree more - with half the riders guesting its a farce!
-
According to various dictionaries shennanigans means "Secret or dishonest activity or manoeuvring". What has been going on?
-
That's our two doubling up riders sorted then. What about Klindt? I think he is still a snip on his 2014 average.
-
What sort of a financial shape? Pear, good, poor?
-
Draw your own conclusions!
-
This is all tongue in cheek anyway but Ward has only scored 5 points from 5 rides at Leicester.
-
I saw Harris & Bridger bring off some good passes on the track as it is this season. Not sure about Ward!
-
I wouldn't get too excited about next season yet - too many imponderables at the moment.

Like it!

Leicester V. King's Lynn Thursday Sept 11th
Happy Hunter replied to Star Fever's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I had included bonus points in the average but not TR points. Harris scored 11 + 2 from 5 for Wolves @Leicester on 29th March. !0 + 2 from 5 for Cov on 19th April, 10 from 5 for BV on 5th July, 2 from 4 for Wolves on 9th August & 8 + 2 from 5 for Cov on 31st August. -
According to my records he averages 7.13 at home & 5.86 away for the Lions. He has dropped 0.46 off his staring average.

Leicester Vs Coventry 25/8
Happy Hunter replied to Bee 26's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Looks like the Lions are in for a couple of drubbings today. We will be well outscored at reserve and Nicolai only got one point from 4 rides at Workington last night - so he might not be fully recovered. Could see us using R/R for him tonight. -

This is a professional sport. Its what riders do - like diving at football.
