Told you Holder is not going to Somerset or anywhere else on that average. I was way out with Vaculik ill admit but not this one. Come on Matt we need Chris on board more than ever before. Not being disrespectful to Hans but he isnt going to improve his 7.75 starting average so its best to leave him out of the 2018 team. A shame but it has to be done.

If the rumoured limit was higher then I would have Shanes back every time. But the rumoured limit is 41 to 42 points per team. We will have Woryna at reserve therefore we are already strong at reserve. It doesn't look like we will get a No.1 therefore we need to have a solid top 5 and if we are using 7.62 points at reserve then the top 5 isn't going to be that strong. I would rather use the extra 0.95 points on a top 5 rider instead of a reserve who will only get 3 rides a meeting most weeks and wont achieve his average on the road 8 times out of 10. Lets say Ellis does a U-Turn on wanting a return to Swindon. We could get rid of Newman for Ellis in the 1-5. That's the difference and you know Ellis can cut it in the 1-5 whilst Newman cant. Or Andersen 7.75 goes and we can get a rider up to 8.70 a lot of difference.

Don't want to mention everyone lol. But every rider I mention I get a response like he's not coming or he's not in Matt's plans. So that leaves me wondering who is in our plans. No Chris Holder would mean No Jack Holder. Kyle Newman will probably go to Leicester or Ippo. Adam Ellis want's to stay at Swindon. Most of our top assets wont do Britain.

Pirates of Poole is normally reliable so ill take your word for it.

Matt said depending on the rules. One of K. Bjerre or M. Zagar will not be at BV because you know Cook is a lock for the Aces. Other riders might be interested in doing Britain. Lindback a possible option

You clearly haven't read my post. I said James is a good rider. But if the rumoured points limit is true 41 or 42 with Kurtz as our No.1 then their isn't any point in signing Shanes because Newman cannot cut it in the 1-5 therefore the No.2 position needs to be upgraded. James would only get 3 rides a meeting against the opposing No.7 because Woryna will take 5 a meeting for sure. Then Jack Holder would if he dropped to reserve. So I am saying instead of getting Newman and Shanes. We could have Klindt and a 2 pointer which would make the top 5 more solid imo because Kurtz is going to need back up big time. Andersen isn't the solution because he has too many bad meetings. C. Holder hasn't been the same for a couple of years. Just don't see the point in using 2.95 on a No.7 whilst having no No.1 in the side. We are already strong at reserve with Woryna. Let me ask you a question Ray. Forget about Newman. If I offered you one of the following which one would you take. Andersen and Shanes = 10.70 Or A proven No.1 up to 8.70 and a new 2 point rider. = 10.70

Agree. I was so sure Martin was coming to us after years of chasing him. We wont get a No.1. This will more than likely be our team. 1. B. Kurtz 2. K. Newman 3. C. Holder 4. J. Holder 5. H. Andersen 6. K. Woryna 7. J. Shanes Personally I don't see the point in signing Andersen & Shanes on averages they wont improve. Yes they are good riders. But do we really need to use 2.95 points on a No.7? Who will only take 3 rides per a meeting and wont achieve his average on the road. A complete waste if you ask me unless we sign a proper No.1 which isn't going to happen. Might as well get a 2.00 rider at reserve to go with Woryna and use the extra 0.95 on upgrading a rider in the top for example Klindt for Newman. Which would mean J. Holder, Klindt or Woryna could all ride at reserve at some point during the season. Don't need to waste 2.95 on a No.7 who will get replaced in a programmed ride week in and week out.

According to rumours on the Championship thread. Chris Harris & James Sarjeant to Glasgow are done deals. Take it they wont be moving up. Didnt think they would tbh with Edinburgh and Berwick in the 2nd tier. Hancock to Poole is my guess. Why would Hancock quit the top tier in Poland to sign for a 2nd division team?

Holder will be at Poole. Somerset will have another team built on a tight budget I would think. Attendances aren't great so I doubt they could afford big name riders.
