    Leicester Lions 2018

A good news story, and it's not discussed on its clubs yearly thread.. Great idea, "Kids" for free during the summer, we have to "ground bait" for the fans of the future, this is a good start.. Wonder if any other clubs will follow?

Leicester Lions v Wolverhampton Wolves, 2 July 18

He was still on the racing surface, albeit right against the kerb, don't know why he didn't pull onto the centre green, as it was a dangerous position to park up! Ref should have red flagged the race, excluded him, and put the remaining Wolves rider off 15 metres!! In my humble opinion........

    Leicester Lions 2018

Martin Vaculik was racing for Stal Gorzow tonight, must be fit again....?
  9. Naaaa, not sure what the Polish equivalent is to our Met Office.. Even BBC don't use met Office data for their forecasts now, they use METEOGROUP, which is American!!!
  10. High def rain radar, coupled with Blitzortung Lightning, looks like Wroclaw is about to get a pasting (4pm) UK time.... So that's what the covers are in place for.....

    Wolverhampton v Poole Prem B. 28/5/18

We squeaked it at Leicester, against Belle Vue with only 5 race winners, 47 to 43!!!
  12. Well, weather set fair...... Lions win by 12pts anyone?

    Gerhard Engine

It's how the bike looks as well, the other week, a NL rider and mechanic spent best part of 2 hours piddling about with those spoke straws, all nicely colour coordinated, ish, with rest of guards/covers, but in their quest for making bike look good, they failed to notice a broken spoke!! The one with the balancing weight, which was swinging more than the swinging footrest!!! Very nearly missed his first race....

    Team Suits and/or Race Jackets

The Lions suits of the very late 1960's, 70's and even 80's were still designed to be worn in conjunction with club race jackets, that combo looked good......
  15. It was, wasn't it.....!!!

    Fixed night farce-how much longer

    Sad, isn't it.... Leicester had 1,000+ easily I 2013....
  17. Well, if we'd have 5-1'd in ht 15, we would have won by 12!! Got to stop away sides getting these bonus points, it will cost us play off place come end of August....

    Fixed night farce-how much longer

I'd say, they'd be poor figures at PL/EL 5 yrs ago, more like 1,500 for CL/Old PL around 5 yrs ago.....

    Fixed night farce-how much longer

What is this year's definition of a "good crowd" as in attendance at the Speedway? PL? CL? & NL?

    Fixed night farce-how much longer

Enough kids roaming the streets in packs at night, say until 11pm ish, so don't get the snowflakes have to be home every night doing homework, then bed for 10pm!!!
  21. Years ago, grading used to take place after every heat, main meeting was still done and dusted by 9pm'ish, second half by 9.45'ish. At Blackbird Rd, anyway.. What's changed?
  22. And a big crash on turn 3, Inc airfence panel change Inc most clips!!
  23. Should be some local interest by now, anyone pick a winner?
  24. Nice reply Spud!!!
