On the strength of Lunas last OTA performance r/r strengthens the Tigers! -

A huge blow for the Rebels with no Jake as he is in great form and being 5th in the averages, means just Wrighty and the reserves can fill in. I think the Rebels wouldn't mind a Rain off for both legs ! Advantage Tigers over two legs -
Newcastle V Somerset Premier League Sunday 4th September 2016 At 6.30pm

Thought the Rebels would struggle in this fixture which proved to be the case. Newcastle have been the best visiting team at the OTA this season in my opinion, so a two legged meeting is likely to be very close should the teams meet. Good to see Lambert bounce back from his disappointment Saturday night. -

Tough ask for the Rebels with r/r for Tungate, comfortable win for the diamonds for me. -
What a farce. One rider from the original 1 to 7 and Bjerre/Anderson are only riding because Poland and Sweden are finished. Feel for the lads released who are committed to British Speedway

I think the Rebels will fancy themselves over 2 legs after beating the Tigers by 16 at the OTA in the PL and then again away! It was Charles first meeting since concussion and Bradley will surely score next better time. As for our guests naturally we benefitted from young Bewley today replacing Zac but who knows what Jake would have scored considering he topped scored for the Aussies yesterday at the under 21 SWC out scoring Fricke B Kurtz and J Holder. -

Gary May says thanks for doing his pre meeting team talk !! -
Not sure if this has been posted elsewhere -apologises if so Bradley Wilson -Dean announced as a full transfer from Eastbourne on Saturday by Gary May. Good signing by the club, he looks like he has further improvement in him.

Somerset Rebels V Newcastle Diamonds Premier League Friday 15th July 2016
RebelDan replied to dantodan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Really impressed with the Diamonds tonignt they deserved a point . However the r/r for Worrall was probably cancelled out by the bad luck the Rebels incurred tonight -lots of points lost from point scoring positions through rider error (on a tricky track to be fair ) or mechanical failure. A decent meeting though considering the rain - Lambert is a class act. -
It’s a long season and injuries can play its part, the Rebels certainly look a formidable team and you get the feeling they haven’t fully clicked yet! For example there is more to come from Zac, Starkey and Wrighty tend to have a duff ride per meeting and Jake and Bradley are improving week by week. Nothing is won yet but the signs are very good.

Somerset V Peterborough Koc Qf - 28th June
RebelDan replied to bigcatdiary's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I think this will be a tight match - Cookie loves the OTA, Rebels to record a narrow win to set up a tasty 2nd leg for me. -
Under par performance from the Rebels but just did enough for the win- the Bears thoroughly deserved their point and rode very well. Bellego was very quick as was Andersen, and Neilsen rode better than his points tally. If they could sign a decent heat leader instead of Bukhave they have the making of a decent team.

Tungate rides! I hope he is fit as we cannot carry a rider and r/r.
-
Ollie Greenwood for Zac and I would assume a guest for Rohan now and R/R for Jake. I bet Garys busy on the phone.
-
This could be closer than many think as no Jake, Zac and now Rohan for the Rebels and Redcar are improved with Robson instead of Lasse. BWD will be a busy boy

Current/Ex Somerset riders scored 64 points tonight - cracking win for the Rebels -
Brady Kurtz At Plymouth
RebelDan replied to Sherborne Green's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
It's an admission that Brady should never have left Somerset He could have kept his confidence high whilst adjusting to life in the EL- wouldn't be surprised to see him back at the OTA next season. -
Somerset V Workington - Knockout Cup 1st Leg 6/5/16 7:30pm
RebelDan replied to Comet Dan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
The result was about right I think on the balance of the meeting. Not much luck going the Rebels way early on and the Comets battled hard and were good value. Should be enough for next week for the Rebels , I think a few of our riders enjoy DP. From where I stood on the backstraignt I thought It was a shocking decision to exclude BWD when he went down he had literally nowhere to go- Hansen pushed Wright wide who in turn ran into Bradley. At least everyone is safe and well -

Fours Festival Weekend
RebelDan replied to Sings4Speedway's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Well done to the powers that be for at least trying to do something positive - this could be a cracking weekend event if they plan it properly and get some luck with the weather. Like many, I disagree with Pboro going straight through to the final. Get there on merit - if anything it's denying the Panthers fans of seeing their team twice -
Reasonably happy - you have to work within your budget, and let's face it we have terrific speedway each week win, lose or draw. Lots of riders with potential and they will need time to settle, much will depend on quickly BWD and Jake Allen adapt to the league.
