They said BWD is at reserve so whoever the 3 remaining riders are they must be above 5 ruling out Eliis Slight interval

That's the issue with BWD - being saddled with a 5pt average. Anyone signing him would have to be taking a long term view, that he will be integral to your team for a number of seasons. You are in theory giving away 2 points at the start of the season to all your competitors as all other NL riders are on a 3 point average. Aspegren on the other hand is sub 5 and on his visits last season with Rye scored paid 8 from 4 (including a fall) and paid 16 from 7. Depends if you want a short or long term view- naturally assuming either of those two are in the final 1-7!

Assuming Jake Allen is on a 5 pt av and gets a visa I can see it being something like this : 1 Josh 2 Starkey 3 Charles 4 Jake Allen 5 Tungate 6 BWD 7 Zach

Agreed - even on a 7pt average he would be worth it, he really would . Sounds like it might be Jake Alken though - we will find out on Monday

Best possible line up as if reported Holder has signed for Plymouth 1 Josh 8.5 2 Hartel 5.0 3 Wright 6.89 4 Starke 6.0 5 Tungate 7.75 6 Huckenbeck 5.0 7 Zach 3.0 I can see Howarth in the team now though and think he could do a decent job.

Michael Hartel or Kai Huckenbrock would be fantastic signings around the OTA aka the sort of form Erik Riss showed. Not sure if they would be on 5pt or 7pt average so if any uncertainty best to steer clear with Somersets track record! I'm not sure they could commit either with their European commitments but if they were available they have plenty of promise.

I'm not going to even pretend to understand the complex world of visas I just read last year that Jack's was for 3 years and Plymouth are his sponsor. Who knows! Reference NL riders my understanding is they can't have an average - therefore 3.0 assessed riders and no higher.

That team looks an awful lot better with Holder in it- would love to see it happen but thought his visa was for 3 years with Plymouth as his sponsor.

Agree I don't think this will be far off - depends if Josh goes EL with BV which would rule him out. I see Worrall had signed for BV so he is a definite non starter.

I echo what been said - I am really surprised Brady is not doubling up, I think he would have really benefitted with another season in the PL. Anyhow thanks Brady for two fantastic seasons of entertainment. I still remember his debut - a full max with wins from the gate and when stone last! I am sure given time, he will thrive in the EL Does anyone have a clue when the team is to be announced ?

Edinburgh won the league last season doing exactly that - two 3 pointers at reserve !!

Just for fun appreciating rider availability! 1 B Kurtz 2 P Starke 3 J Holder 4 C Wright 5 N Morris 6 3.0 7 3.0 I think this team is 0.15 over the limit prior to any 2.5% reduction for Charles/Paul (not sure they still qualify).

That team would get some pastings away from home and lacks regular heat winners apart from Brady·We need a top two who can both score double figures home and away· I'd rather have Josh back and lose some points elsewhere· Not sure if he's retired but Ritchie Hawkins on a 3.5 looks decent if you went top heavy and needed to free up points.

Wouldn't be keen on Tungate - he's not improving I'd rather have either Josh/Brady/Nick Morris on not disimilar averages. Slightly alarming so many Ipswich fans would be glad to see the back of him.

Kurtz , Wright and Starke are a must for me and build from there. James Shanes was decent in the Exeter junior meeting.
